At the meeting. Everyone gives out their opinions, almost fighting when Emily interrupted with a huge smile on her face.
"I don't think argument will solve this issues, is the matter of wisdom and proper understanding between both parties.
"But your boss refuses to yield to our terms and conditions" Mr Martins, one of the client said, he raised his voice
"Because Mr Martins changed his words when he got here.. That was not what we concluded on, you know I don't give appointment if it won't favour me so you took advantage of that right?" Ryan said calmly
"What's with people taking advantage of you Sir? You reveal too much for people or more they dig too much into you.. you need to be careful" She replied
"How is that related to our discussion"
"That's my point.. this is business, taking advantage of your competitors is wrong." She commented
"Still on my questions, how is that related to our discussion and why would a common secretary interrupt the conversation with two CEO?.. this is foolishness... no secretary of mine dares try that with me, I will destroy the person" Mr Martins said
"Don't you dare insult my secretary right in front of me Mr Martins, I don't joke with my people Mr Man.. so behave yourself wisely " Ryan said, raised his voice
"So now, you are siding with a common secretary? Are you that low and stupid Mr Ryan?"
"A common secretary? is she not humans? Are you not both created by the almighty so why did you carry your own mightiness above God?" Ryan said angrily as Emily stared at him curiously. "Why is this man siding with me?.. a common secretary? A stranger who he just met for few hours? " She thought silently
"Anyways, Mr common secretary... Without this common secretary, will you be able to do your work well?.. why is it that you don't have sense? .. Will you be the first person to have a company? At least look at the man in front of you? Don't you see how sensible he is or yoi just decided to be foolish?.. you disgust me Mr C. E. O... What do you have Mr man? Nothing Sir.. you are just a daddy's puppy that follow orders like a dog. You are not a human and that's why you could not recognize human beings like us" Emily said softly
Mr Martins screamed out angrily. "How dare you?"
"Don't screamed too much rather use your brain or should I borrow you one? I know you are going to report your father just like always daddy's boy that has no sense of his own." She commented calmly
"let me remind you that you said from the start that taking advantage of your opponent weakness is wrong right so why are you saying this" Mr Martins secretary asked calmly
"Well you started it with my boss... So 50/50.. which one pain pass?.. Should I continue or stop here? cuz I'm over ready to expose you Mr Martins.. should we start where you smuggle drugs.... " She replied, stopped to look at his expression
"Enough please!!!... what do you want" Mr Martins asked calmly, he took his seat
"Like my boss said, you agreed 60/40 but no... I want this deal to be 80/20" She said smiling wickedly
"What?... that can never happen?" He screamed out
"No problem, I'm going to ca the cops right now about a criminal that killed his own sister for his father's company. should I continue?" She asked calmly
"I agree... yes I agree 80/20 Mr Ryan" He said hurriedly
"Good boy Mr Martins, Sign this contract sir..." She said, opened a file with her and pen. He signed hurriedly without hesitation
"Thank you, you can all go back to your various destinations. End of the meeting" She said and stood up. Ryan looked at her with his mouth opened wide in shock. Mr Martins quickly pick up his briefcase and left hurriedly as he hissed. His secretary followed after him leaving Emily ans her boss. Her boss still staring at her curiously before taking a deep breath to calm himself and spoke calmly
"How did you know about his secret?
"I research before we started the meeting and during the meeting as if I knew he would take advantage of your weakness to win over you so I played smart with him... I only gave him a tip, I truly I'm sure if the report is true but with his actions, it's confirm.. You beat them by their own works... Sir, you are a business man and I think you should know this.. Be two steps ahead of your competitors, don't let them see your weakness Sir" Emily said softly and smiled awkwardly
Ryan looked at her, took a deep breath
"Thank you for fighting for me" He whispered silently
"You said?" Emily pretended and asked him but he turned his back at her and left. Emily smiled at him
Ryan got to his office and sat quietly as he recall everything that happened in the meeting, he was impressed. His phone rang and his mother name appears on the caller
"Let this be important Mom" He said gently
"What's more important than settling down like your mate Ryan?.. you are not a baby anymore, get that into you score. I need to see my grandchildren" She said
"Marriage is not about rushing Mom, it takes time mom. pls try to understand me " Ryan said softly
"Why are you handsome and rich son? if you can't control women?" She said coldly
"Are they not humans? Why will I control a woman? Has daddy ever control you before? instead it the other way round.. Why can't you give me peace of mind Mom?.. if you keep insisting on this marriage issues, I promise to never talk to you again or even visit you... Sorry in advance Mom" He said and cut the call. He closed his eyes go take a deep long breath to calm himself
