20 years earlier, Two best friends playing around at the beach before getting tried as they sat quietly on the floor laughing loud
"Ryan, I won and you know that" Emily said softly
"Don't try to manipulate me this time with your cute eyes, i wouldn't fall for it" Ryan said smiling wickedly
"Ryan please, let me win" She said sadly, pouting her lips innocently as Ryan shake his head smiling
"Fine, you win" He replied as Emily jump on him happily as they both laugh their heart happily
"I got a gift for you, close you eyes" Ryan said and took out a small box from his pocket as Emily closed her eyes expectantly.
"Should I open my eyes now?" She asked slowly, He worn the necklace around her neck gently
"Yes Baby.. open your eyes" Ryan replied smiling, Emily looked at the necklace and wept gently
"Did I do something?" Ryan asked curiously
"Yes Ryan, you gave me such an expensive necklace that can last me for years" She said and wept more
"Why are you behaving like a baby?.. this necklace can not last you years now.. please keep this necklace carefully because I spent my savings to buy this" Ryan said softly
"You used your savings to buy this necklace?" She asked curiously, looking at the necklace that has R in the midst of the heart symbol of love
"Yes I did, I asked for the price when I was coming back from sch but the money with me is not enough so I told the seller to keep it with him and gave him my favorite writs watch to hold if I don't complete the money.. I saved from my pocket money" Ryan said
"But your pocket money for a years can't buy this necklace?" She asked curiously
"I starved myself and told my mom to give me money instead of food for a week" Ryan explained
"For me? but why?" She asked
"Because you are my best friend and I know this pendant will fit you well just like now.. I don't regret staving myself for you Emily" he replied smiling
"Thank you for giving me my very first gift in this world and I promise to keep it till the end" She said as more tears rushed out of her eyes. she hugged him tight
"The hug is too tight Ryan " He said smiling as Emily pull back and wiped her tears smiling happily
"Emily, I want you to keep this pendant with you well.. promise me.. and I promise that whenever you this necklace is with you, i will be there by your side.. As long as you have this necklace with you, you have me with you Emily" He said smiling
"I promise Ryan, i will keep this necklace" She replied
He smiled at her stood up to play before departing to their various destinations
Ryan got home smiling at himself when he saw his mother standing with anger at the front door waiting
"Now you can lie to your mother because of a foolish girl? .. you told me you have a football match and your coach requested for a rehearsal before the match tomorrow but instead you lied and know how I got to know Ryan? because I called him and asked him but he said he didn't tell you about any rehearsal so why did you lie?" She asked angrily
"Isn't it obvious Mom? I don't want you to know about it because you won't let me go right Mom? .. What has Emily done for you? Why did you hate her this much? why can't you just be nice to her" He challenged her
"Why can't you stay away from that ugly poor useless girl?.. she's took dirty for your status" She replied
"But Mom, she's my best friend and beside she's also a human being like yourself, Status or not.. Please leave her alone in peace" He replied
"No tell her to leave my son alone, or I swear, I will kill her myself Ryan " she yelled angrily
"What has that innocent girl done for you to detest her this much woman? this girl needs you now and mean no harm for you or your family but only your help rather you hate her because she's not in your level? .. what has that got to do with her? don't tell me you are competing with a small 5 years old girl?" Her husband replied shaking his head in pity
"I don't know what she has done for you both but she can't deceive me, I can't never fall into her trap.. she's a witch and I will destroy her before she destroy my home " She said and walked out
"Don't mind her son, you are doing the right thing Ryan and keep it up my son" His father encouraged him
"Thanks Dad" He said, hugged him and left to his room.
Emily noticed a car trailing her slowly, she walked slowly as the car do the same before she bend down suddenly and pick race. she ran so fast till she saw bobby and hubby talking, sh slow down calmly and went closer to them.
"Bobby I think someone is trailing me" she said hurriedly
"are you sure, who could that be sweet baby?" Bobby asked curiously
"i don't know, I noticed it before I went to the beach with Ryan and also when I was coming" She explained
"Don't worry sweetcheeks, bobby and I are here for you so don't worry.. be rest assured" hubby said calmly

"I love you both" She replied and hugged them both. Bobby noticed the necklace on her neck and you he'd it gently
" Wow sweetcheeks, this necklace is beautiful.. there did you get it? Ryan right?" She asked curiously
"Yes bobby, he gifted me and told me to keep it with me forever.. I love it" She replied slowly

Emily looked at it again and gently took it to her lips and pecked it, promised herself to wearing it always
