Chapter 23 - Chapter 23

Tina gasped as she saw the asshole from the diner sitting in his car looking at her. She had no idea how long he had been there, but she didn't think that he was already there when she got into her car. In fact, she was sure of it since she had to put her things back into the trunk. For a long moment, she sat there motionless just trying to see what he was doing and trying to see if he was watching her.

There was no doubt that he had been and was still watching her. That made a cold chill run down her spine. It instantly made her remember the guy putting his head under her skirt and pressing his face into her panties. She knew if she had not brought her knee up at the same time that she was hitting and pushing him away that he would have tried to do even more than that. She shuttered as she looked at him seeing just how disgusting he was. The thought he even touched her was revolting, but what made it worse was the fact that as he touched her, they all laughed about it. It made her feel sick to her stomach.

Tina put her phone down in the holder on the dash so that way if she needed to, she would be able to call for help. She saw that he was in the car, but it didn't look like he was doing anything but just sitting there. She was glad that her doors were locked, and it was a simple button push to get the car running.

Tina reached over and carefully pushed the button as she pressed the brake. She hated having to press the brake to get it started because it was going to put on the brake lights and signal him that she was starting the car. But since she wanted the car to run and not just on, she had to. The car started quickly, and she put it in drive before the guy even had a chance to start his own.

Tina watched as the expression on his face changed from a huge smile to one of shock and surprise as she quickly pulled away. She knew the direction that she wanted to go but now should she just head for it knowing that this pervert could be trying to follow her? As she thought about it the distance greatly increased.

When she saw the car that he was in blow a big cloud of white smoke out his tailpipe she knew that she was going to be in no danger. Her dad had explained that the white smoke was from burning oil and the engine would be starting to run rough and hot. Not to mention that it would be considered on its last days. It would last a while under those conditions, but long trips or high speed would just cause it to die all the faster.

She knew that if they had had an accident together his car would not get all the damage that hers would because his car was older and built a lot heavier than hers was. It looked like his car would only get a little over 10 miles to the gallon and she thought it would be lucky to get that. She was planning on doing a lot of driving today with little to no stops. If he was going to try and follow or to keep up with her, he would have to stop way before she did and would have to stop a lot more often. Not to mention he would have to speed most of the time to try and catch up, and that is if he could even tell where she was going. It was not going to be that hard to lose him if he did try and follow her. There was no way that he was going to be able to hide a beater like that. Especially with it blowing all the smoke the whole time.

Tina knew that she could just drive like normal and as soon as she would see him get off to get gas, she could make a turn and go a different way and he would have no clue where she went. Tina thought if worst came to worst and he did really try and chase her then her car would pull away easily, that was if he got stupid and tried to hit her or something. If he did try something like that it was not like she couldn't just call 911 and have him stopped or arrested at that point it would be worth the delay to make sure that he would stop harassing her.

Tina was relieved when she saw that even though he had got his car started before she was out of sight, he had not really got it moving before she made her turn and was quickly out of sight. Tina wondered how a pervert like that was not in jail already. Unless he only did that sort of thing to strangers that didn't want to take the time to make sure that he was arrested and put away. She knew that it was highly unlikely that she would ever pass this way again, but she remembered the name of the town just in case to make sure that she would never stop in it again.

Tina was glad to see the town disappear in her rearview mirror. Soon thoughts of the town were out of her mind, but thoughts of the guy even though she had not seen him or his car since she left the hotel didn't matter. He had traumatized her enough that she doubted that she was ever going to forget his face. She doubted that she would ever forget the feeling of him under her skirt or the way it made her feel either.

Tina shook her head to get rid of those thoughts and just continued driving. She was glad that she was putting miles between them. She was making sure that she was keeping an eye out for him and his car. She was glad that he had such an old trashy looking car it made them match and it made it easy for her to spot them. She was thinking with any real luck she would never see him again.

She had driven for over an hour before she had relaxed enough to even try and start calling her friends, she kept expecting him to come up from behind and start riding her bumper. She had no idea what his fascination with her was, but she was glad that it looked like he had given up. She figured that if he had not found her in an hour that he must have either given up or gone in the wrong direction and either thought worked for her. If he went the wrong direction, then the likely hood of him tracking her down was minimal.

Tina didn't know what he wanted from her, but with what he did at the diner she had an idea that it was not going to be good for her, and she wanted no part of it.

Tina decided that she was safe enough to start her calls. It was late enough in the morning that she was not going to wake anyone. She was hoping that she was going to get a few that didn't answer so that she could just leave a message because she knew that it was going to be so emotionally draining on her to talk to them and explain everything. Although there were a few that she really wanted to talk to. She needed at least a little assurance that she was doing the right thing.

Before she started the call, she took one last long look in the rear-view mirror just to make sure that he was not there. The road that she was on was hilly, so she waited till she got to the top of the biggest hill that was around and had been watching constantly in the mirror just to make sure that he was nowhere in sight. She had been watching the mirror so constantly that the car slightly drifted, and the tires hit the rumble strip in the center of the road to let her know that she was drifting. She made a slight wheel adjustment and straightened out just in time to see a car on the other side had shifted off to the white line to avoid her.

Tina blushed and thought I'm sorry to herself knowing that she had crowded them almost off the road before she had corrected it. Her heart was racing now, and she knew that she was going to have to worry more about where she was going than what was behind her.

Tina braced herself and took a deep breath and one last long look in the mirror then pushed the phone button on the car. The list of numbers came up on the display for her to select the person that she wanted to call. This made her have to stop and think. She knew that she wanted to call her closest friends, but she knew that they would be talking back and forth with each other. So, she would have to be careful with whom she was going to call first because if she called the wrong one, the others could get their feelings hurt and she knew that she could even lose a friend over it.

Tina took time and looked over the names and she knew that it was coming down to the choice of Becky and Cindy. Becky had moved in next door, and they had become friends and she knew that she could count on her for anything at any time. Cindy was the only one that she had left from her youth. She was one of her first friends. She was always there even when they would fight because they were too much alike, she knew that Cindy was her closest friend.

As Tina thought about it. All the others were not as important to her as those two were. So as long as she called the other as soon as she finished talking to her then no one would get hurt. Tina liked the thought of that and knew that was what she was going to have to do.

Tina took another deep breath, she was unsure what she was going to be facing but she knew that if it gets too bad, she could always end the call. She was just hoping that it was not going to tear her up enough that she would have to pull over but if it did, she would find a place to get off the road.

Tina sat there anxiously as the phone rang. Tina was not sure what she wanted to happen. Did she want her to pick it up and answer it, or was she really better not talking to her yet? She was just about to give it up and call Becky instead when the phone was picked up and she heard, "Hello."
