The strikes echoed within the room. The sheer amount of Qi and Mana causing worried gasps from the viewers. Then the scoring came.
"Strike Dummy for Shadow King: Mana Value 700,000"
This surprised even him. He usually scored higher due to the training he had done. He took it has the training worn down over time.
"Strike Dummy for Rex: Qi Value 10,000,000"
The sheer amount of difference between the two was astounding. Even with them trying to force out so little in their swords. This made the Shadow King wonder where he truly came from.
"Congratulations." He spoke calmly.
Inwardly, he was afraid. Of course, anyone would be when undoubtedly having seen so much overpowered Value in front of you.
"I take it you wish to start Round 2?" Rex asked.
"Allow me to try and break this high score once more. I will not break yours but to see if my score does go up and how much." The Shadow King asked.
He hoped that when he does it again only his Mana will be available and give him a better clearance. Even if it was just 50,000 Value, that would at least make him feel better.
Once all of the Qi and Mana was gone from each of them. The Shadow King allowed a little more coating and a little more Mana unto the sword. It was rough but he managed it.
He continued until he could tell that anymore and the wooden blade would break. He struck the Dummy hard.
"Strike Dummy for Shadow King: Mana Value 1,250,000"
He was astounded. So were the other viewers. Rex knew better than to try again. He did not want it to go through the roof.
"That hurt a lot." The Shadow King spoke almost exhausted.
They waited until he recovered before moving onwards to the second round. Even Rex was surprised to see the Mana Value sky rocket. This also meant that striking together either helped his score or made him look bad. He did not want to deal with him looking better.
The Shadow King spoke while resting, "If you want to try it again now that the air is cleaned from my strike. You can, if your score is lower than the first. We will use that score but if it is higher than the lower score will be used."
The others felt that this was fair. Rex prepared himself for a second strike. When struck he felt much stronger than what he should have.
"What happened?" He thought.
"Strike Dummy for Rex: Qi Value 76,006,000"
This shocked the others because no one had ever gotten a Value that high that they knew of.
"Sweetness." The Shadow King spoke.
"What happened?" Rex spoke.
This told them all that they needed to know.
"You felt a pull of strength from it?" The Queen asked.
Rex turned and nodded.
"That is a sign that the dummy itself was trying to use your maximum potential within what you currently have. The highest recorded number even from the people we got it was only a Value of 10,000,000. We never knew it could go any higher." The Royal Knights explained.
Even with the sheer amount of Value being so high. No one dared to question if Rex could get a higher score. It was just a matter of training and/or cultivating to strengthen the foundation.
"Alright. I have rested enough. I doubt that I can strike you hard enough to kill you with that astronomical Value but we are going by the lower number on the armor so that will equal out the value stats." The Shadow King explained.
Rex nodded and the stood. Rex allowing his hands to be behind his back. The Shadow King using the 1,250,000 Value on his armor hoped that when he uses the same force as he did on the dummy that his strike would at least leave him with a solid injury.
He sliced once and the armor gave a Value of Critical damage but not severe enough to be warned against.
When they checked the armor. It had given the astronomical Value instead of the lower value. This gave the duo some breathing space. The Shadow King tried to get back to where he was before the strike. While the Royal Knights readjusted the armor for the lower Value. Even the Queen helped out with this.
When it was all said and done, the Shadow King struck once again. This time it gave a value of Critical Damage and Life-threatening damage done.
At least with this it ended up in a draw. The duo went and enjoyed the meal prepared by the maids and the future wives of the Royal Knights.
