As the group enjoyed the meal. Talking about the future events just naturally happened because of the Queen.
She first started talking about how grand the building of a town with different races in it would be a miracle to see. Then to how Rex was preparing for the War.
Rex responded with his cheerful attitude answering the questions with as much detail as possible until the final question.
"Rex, how will you accept us into the town up there?" She finally asked.
She wanted to know the truth. The food she had placed, she had put a little seasoning that helps induce the truth to come out. Although it does make the food taste much better, most worlds use it to ensure that the truth comes out when needed from prisoners to suspicious family members.
"It is not that I do not want you all to go there. It is for the fact that if they see who they are going to be facing. It could invoke some deep seated hatred into the town.
Even if it does not, the word goes around that some family of Shadow People are able to live in the Nine Realms. This could spark a disaster that I cannot prevent currently.
Of course, the demons already know that you all are living here and are under my protection. The humans and Demi-humans are not truly under my protection right now. Unless we get them to build a sight specifically for you all to grow once the War is over. We can gradually accept it. Unless they know for certain that they were protected by you during the War and that you did it because you wanted to and not forced or asked by me. I cannot guarantee your safety and that is what troubles me." Rex answered.
She felt much better. Rex blinked and realized that somehow he had been drugged.
"What happened just now?" Rex was angered.
"This spice is one that many worlds use. It makes foods taste much better and when a direct question is asked afterwards a detailed truth comes out.
Most races use it for criminals or family members that are probably in trouble or who knows who caused the trouble.
I know this was wrong of me but I truly wanted to know why you believed we could not live up there in that town. If you are that upset, once the barrier is set up. We will continue to live here in this seal. Maybe one day you will be able to forgive me and let us go or maybe once I pass the others can be allowed to live in freedom." She spoke sorrowful.
Rex understood how she felt. This was a natural course of her feelings. He was inwardly glad that the spice was just a slight questionable approach.
"No need to worry. I am glad that you explained it. Still though, that was utterly amazing even with that spice. What ingredients are in it?" Rex asked.
The main ingredients are ones that are not found on Earth or in the Realms here. This upset Rex.
"We have some left. It does not take but a touch in the mix and it does miracles. Does be careful because it can be overused and turned the buds into everything tastes horrid." One of the maids explained.
Rex took just a tiny amount. He wanted to try it and see what he could reveal from some certain women why they have always acted funny towards each other and himself.
The two men went to the room where they were striking the dummies. Now they were together perform just how long they could fight with the blades.
Of course, they were switched out to ensure that the maximum time was given. No fatal strikes, no hard strikes, not even slightly overpowered strikes were welcomed. This was just striking and blocking to the maximum.
The duo began the sound of screeching echoed in the room due to the opposing sides of internal energy. Even then no one dared to leave the room unless they had to.
Strikes continued way into the days. Almost six days passed before both parties fell until a knee at the same time. The Shadow King proud that he could withstand the blows for this long. Rex worried that his stamina would run out before his opponents.
The two men tried to stand back up only to realize how starved they were. While the others at first could not leave. Seeing how someone would always remain. They began shifts.
This helped them keep up their daily training and stamina and to ensure that when the two were out of stamina. Someone would have food cooked for them.
"Six days, not bad. This was not good either. I should have been able to last at least four more days. Age truly wears down ones insides and the mental on them." The Shadow King proclaimed.
Rex was worried because he did not know if he could have actually lasted that long. As they decided to call it a draw as well. The Spar ended with such a casual ending that neither one was upset.
