Holly's POV
In no time, I started seeing my smile fade — I never let him drive me to my exact building yesterday. So how did he know where I lived? He must've tailed me. My heart skipped.
After noticing me, he stepped out of the car.
"Hi… good morning," he said softly.
I didn't reply. I walked past him to the other side of the car, pulled the handle, and got in. From the corner of my eyes, I could see the look on his face — surprise mixed with guilt, like oh crap, I've been caught.
Once he got in, i waited for him to settled in then grabbed his hair gently but firmly.
"Why the hell would you think of tailing me?"
He froze, eyes wide. For a moment he looked like a little boy caught doing something wrong. A part of me actually liked that he cared enough to check on me, but my survival instincts screamed louder — not after what i've been through, not with the memory of running for my life still fresh and intact.
"I'm sorry," he finally said, voice low.
His puppy eyes and the way his lips trembled made my anger melt faster than I expected. I sighed, let go of his hair, and turned to face the window. My reflection on the glass gave me away — my cheeks were burning. I caught him staring and knew he noticed my blush.
He chuckled quietly, and I could feel the air between us shift from tension to something softer.
The drive to school was mostly silent, except for his occasional chuckle that made me want to disappear into my seat. I could feel his gaze flicker toward me from time to time, and each time, my stomach filled with butterflies.
When we arrived, we walked to class together. I braced myself for Bella — she was definitely going to tease me for this — but her seat was empty. Confused, I asked around and heard she got a last-minute call for a match and had to call in sick.with how close we are getting in just a day i expected her to tell me but a part of me still say we ain't that close remember.
I sighed, returned to my seat as the lesson began, but couldn't shake off the thought that something about her absence make me feel sad.
Alexander's POV
Driving with Holly that morning reminded me too much of how David's mom used to scold me — soft but fierce. I couldn't help but chuckle.
When class began, I barely listened. My focus was fixed on her. The way her golden curls hair framed her face, how she tucked them behind her ears whenever they covered her eyes… everything she did was hypnotic.
Every time she caught me staring, she'd shoot me that look — "What? Is there something on my face?" — and I'd shake my head, pretending to be focused. But I wasn't.
I keep staring at her and admiring her beauty she have a tiny waist and a perfect wide hips even though the clothe she wore isn't showing off much one could tell her breast is pointed and big enough to drive a guy crazy
Arrrggggg I don't know why i keep having this weird feeling
Since Jena, my heart had been frozen, sealed shut. I stopped feeling, stopped loving, stopped everything. But since I met Holly — since that incident and reading her emotions — it's like I'm thawing again. And it scares the hell out of me.
It was lunchtime when she looked at me with those ocean-blue eyes and said softly,
"Can we have lunch together? I brought some cookies."
"Sure," I replied, my chest tightening at the way her voice brushed through my thoughts.
We found a quiet corner in the cafeteria. She started unpacking the cookies, carefully laying them out like they were treasures.
"I'll be right back," I told her, heading toward the counter. I grabbed two cups of strawberry milkshake — something sweet to go with her cookies — and walked back.
Her face lit up when she saw them.
"Oh my God, that's my favorite with cookies!" she exclaimed, almost bouncing.
Her joy was contagious. We started eating, and she spoke first.
"You said you just moved here, right? What made you move? You know why I moved here, so let's make it even."
Her voice was playful, but her eyes searched me for honesty. I hesitated, feeling that wall inside me trying to go up again.
"You moved here with your parents, right? Oh wait—don't tell me you're a mommy's boy," she teased, giggling when I froze.
I shook my head with a small smirk. Not even close.
"Okay, daddy's boy then," she said, leaning closer like she'd cracked some hidden code.
That's when I knew I couldn't dodge this one.
"I moved here alone, Holly," I said quietly. "My parents… they didn't care enough to raise me. I was taken in by parents next door— they're the only real family I ever knew."
Her teasing faded instantly. She looked at me, really looked — eyes full of empathy, the kind that makes your chest ache. Then, instead of pity, she smiled softly.trying to make me smile
"And did they teach you to sneak up on girls on their way home?"
I blinked, then chuckled. "Is that why you turned into an angry bird this morning?"
Her mouth dropped open. "What did you just call me?"
Before I could answer, she jumped up.this time we are done with the snacks
"Let me show you what an angry bird looks like!"
She charged toward me, and I bolted from my seat, laughing as we ran out into the garden.
I stopped near the rose garden, out of breath. She caught up — and just as she was about to pounce on me , she tripped.
"Ah!" she gasped.
I grabbed her instinctively, but our momentum took us both down. We landed on the roses, her body pressed against mine. For a moment, time froze.
Her face hovered inches above mine, her breath warm against my lips. Her hair brushed my cheek, and all I could think about was how soft her lips looked.
My god I really wanted to feel them on mine I could feel her boobs on my chest my right arm i used to grab her tiny waist and the other on her hips staring into her blue eyes again and all her body on mine made me feel aroused I could feel my erection I'm supposed to be worried she will notice my erection but her beauty couldn't make me think straight I didn't know what she's thinking to but she didn't even blink looking at me even when i keep moving mine back and forth from her eyes to her lips i got a beep on my watch which means luchtime is over but it seems none of us is planning on moving at all loosening my grip on her hips and her waist. i cleared my throat since she's the one on me bringing us back to reality cause i'm sure in our imagination we'll be on bed together right now as we speak .
I could feel her heartbeat racing against my chest.
"Uh… I'm sorry," she whispered, rolling off me, biting her lip.
"Lunch time's over," I muttered, getting up, brushing my shirt.
She smiled shyly, walking fast toward the building. I followed behind, chuckling — she looked so flustered it was adorable.
The rest of the day passed in silent glances and unspoken thoughts. When the bell rang, we both packed our things, avoiding each other's eyes.
"I'm giving you a ride home," I said finally.
She froze, looking at me like she couldn't decide whether to run or melt.
Holly's POV
"I'm giving you a ride home," he said
I swear my heart almost exploded. My cheeks turned red at the memory of the garden — his body pressed against mine, the heat of his chest, and the erection I felt between my thighs. I tried not to think about it, but my mind wouldn't stop replaying it.
"Okay… thanks," I said, avoiding his gaze.
He nodded and walked ahead. Watching his tall frame, the way his shirt hugged his shoulders — Lord help me.
He opened the door for me, then went around to his side. We drove quietly. The silence wasn't awkward but heavy,
When we reached my building, he parked but didn't say anything. I turned to him, serious now.
"When are you going to forgive them, Xander?" I asked softly. "Your parents."
He looked at me, his eyes dark and unreadable. For a long second, he said nothing — just stared like he was trying to decide something
