Alexander's POV
I was staring at her, thinking, you know what, we're not doing this right now.
But her eyes… they wouldn't let me say it.
"Soon, I hope," I finally said, looking away.
"Pinky promise," she teased, leaning closer, trying to see if I was serious.
Are you kidding me? There's no way I could promise that.
"Yeah, sure," I muttered, forcing a smile. I just needed to play along so she'd drop the topic.
She kept her eyes locked on mine for a moment — like she was searching for the truth in them — then finally let go.
"Thanks for the ride," she said softly before stepping out and heading inside.
I just smirked, watching her disappear into the building before I drove off.
Holly's POV
I walked in feeling strangely satisfied with his reply. My parents weren't back yet.
I went straight to the fridge, grabbed some snacks, and headed up to my room.
As I finished eating, memories of what happened in the garden came rushing back.
The way he held me… the way our eyes met… I wanted so badly to crush my lips against his.my mind goes back to his erection I could have struck them so hard and make him cum all over me ,if i'm not gonna lie to myself a part of me really wanna feel him deep inside me touching every coner and nerves in me right in that moment .I really want to feel him next to my breath and stroking every bit if his strength in me .
Just as I was shaking the thought off and feeling myself almost dripping and wet my phone buzzed — Bella . Video calling this time .
I swiped to answer.
"Hi, Holly," she said, wearing the guiltiest face ever.
I didn't have to guess — she knew she messed up for ghosting me .
"Hi," I replied flatly.
"Come on, Holly, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to ghost you. It slipped my mind," she said, looking genuinely sorry.
"You know I can't stay mad at you. That's exactly why you did that, right?" I rolled my eyes, pretending to be upset.
"No… no, it's not like that! I promise it won't happen again." She made a cross over her chest dramatically.
"Okay, fine," I sighed. "So how was your day?"
She grinned. "Guess I should go first—actually, no. You tell me why your cheeks are that red! My Gosh "
She practically yelled, grinning from ear to ear. My face instantly burned hotter as memories of the garden flooded back. I buried my face in the pillow.
"Hey, girl, you're not leaving a single detail out!" she laughed.
I gave in and told her everything — every tiny moment. We laughed and talked until night fell, swapping stories about her match and my day at school.
When we finally hung up, she smiled.
"Night, sweetie."
And the screen went black.
🫥 Next Morning 🫥
Alexander's POV
I woke up earlier than usual — full of energy, humming and singing while preparing .
"Seems like someone's happy today," Alpha's voice echoed, teasing me.
I froze, embarrassed. "What makes you say that?" I stuttered.
"Anytime you're happy, you hum or sing," Alpha chuckled.
Really that isn't entirely true i thought rolling my eyes
I was about to respond when Alpha interrupted — tone shifting to serious.
"One virus function not isolated."
My fingers flew across the keyboard as I began tracing the code.
In minutes, I realized the function was designed to track my location.
I intentionally didn't wipe the virus out that day after it made alpha overheat ,
I wanted to see what it's motive were but not without disrupting all other damage it could do seems like I finally figured out it end game
It was planted to find me — and I already knew who they were after.
The people hunting Holly's parents thought I was working for them now.
Then I stumbled onto another stream of code — this one linked to a satellite.
It wasn't just any code; it was designed to tap into every camera across California.
They were using it to search for Holly's parents.expecting them to show so they'd track them
I froze.
Who could go that far just to destroy a single family?
But the shock hit harder when I recognized the pattern — the coding style.
It was… my dad's.
My chest tightened.
Anger rushed through me like electricity. My hands shook.
How the hell was I supposed to tell Holly that my father could be connected to her dad's best friend's death? And after her family's life
What kind of link could be between them?
I clenched my fists, forcing myself to breathe. I couldn't face him — not yet.
So I isolated the satellite, cut its control access, and blocked all camera functions.thankfully it haven't spot them before I stepped in
But I left the location tracker active.
If they wanted to come for me, I'd let them
Holly's POV
I woke up without an alarm — the silence in the house made it clear my parents hadn't come home.
I made breakfast, ate quietly, and got ready for school. Around the usual time Xander would arrive, I stepped outside.
But his car wasn't there.
I waited… a little longer… still nothing.
So I took the bus.
When I got to school, I went straight to class — but no sign of him.
I tried not to overthink it, but the empty seat beside me said otherwise.
Then Bella appeared, full of her usual energy.
"Hey, baby girl!" she said, wrapping me in a hug and pecking my forehead — just like the first day we met.
I couldn't help thinking, why does she always do that?
I smiled anyway. "Hey. How was your night?"
"Great! But we've got to get to the lab — that's where class is today till lunch," she said, bending down to tie my loose shoelace.
Then she glanced around, smirking. "And I see he hasn't shown up yet."
"I wasn't looking for him," I said quickly, feeling my cheeks heat up.
"Sure," she teased, laughing. "Whatever you say. Catch up, okay?"
She walked off, leaving me to finish tying my lace, trying not to think about him.
Jace's POV
I saw the new girl heading into class — and damn, she was beautiful.
Those ocean-blue eyes, long lashes, and soft pink lips… I could stare at her all day.
I was halfway through undressing her in my imagination when Nathaniel interrupted.
"Is that the new girl you've been spying on since she arrived?" he asked, eyes following her too.
Trust me we are surrounded by alot of girls that would beg and do anything for me to get into there pants—yeah you can say I'm a really bad arrogant and proud dude— and I'm cruel used to doing anything to get what i want, you can add that too
The first time I noticed her was the day she arrived — because Bella couldn't take her eyes off her after drawing the match with me .
Bella might be bisexual, but I knew that look —it always appear if she's into any guy or girl .with her eyes on her i thought of using this girl to torture her after i win her over if she's into her— but I figured she isn't or maybe at first she's but let it go, that could only mean she sees something in her .something that makes her be more than just a girl she wanna lay with on bed
That even makes me think of the girl hotter
Now since bella isn't in my way and just wanna be friends with her i'm not gonna have a problem with— that i know she's gonna step on my toes but she's the list of my problem now
I knew Bella too well. We weren't friends — more like rivals who understood each other's strengths too much to pretend otherwise.
Everyone in this school knew: Bella and I were the most talked-about people here.
And now, this new guy — Alex — was getting attention that used to be mine.
I could feel the fire building in my chest.
"I can't let that jerk outshine me," I muttered without realizing.
"Yeah, but… he's kinda more handsome than you. No offense," Nathaniel said carefully.
I turned my head slowly, glaring at him. "None taken," I said coldly.
Then I looked back toward the classroom.
"Don't follow me. I need to take care of something."
Nathaniel gave me that 'what are you up to' look, but didn't say a word as he walked ahead to the lab.
I smiled to myself.
Game on.
