Journee immediately had her mouth open. How could she be such an idiot? She saw Amber in her dream, the Amber she had been seeing all her life, in a photo frame displayed in William's house. She was still a kid in the photo. When she was kidnapped, she was a kid, and it had been years. So, how did she see her as a kid? Amber must have grown by now. And then she realised that she was having a nightmare.
But if she was having a nightmare, how was she in the stair corridor? That was impossible. How did she travel all the way out of the room? It never happened before. Did she teleport? Did she gain some kind of superpower somehow? Everything, every thought, was hurting her brain. More than that, her face was hurting. But why?
