"Hey… How did you get this stuff, Machi?"
Nobunaga stepped forward to the small pile of objects in the corner of the room and picked up some of the food that Loki had stolen. Loki, who saw this, looked on with an interested look in his eyes.
He didn't particularly mind if all the food was gone as he could always get more, but he was interested in how Machi would respond.
"Oh my god… Is this meat? I've only seen the elders eat this kind of stuff."
He looked at it and was amazed the more he looked at it. The crate was full of dried meat and canned foods.
Hearing this made Machi glance over, remembering whose stuff that was. She hadn't forgotten the display of power Loki had just shown her.
"Don't think about it Nobunaga, that stuff is Loki's." she said before glancing over at Loki.
Hearing this, Nobunaga gulped before looking away from the food and slightly apologizing to Loki.
Uvogin seeing this, started getting impatient.
"What a joke… let's hurry up and go. If you keep messing around we won't be able to find anything good." he said, as he headed towards the door.
Loki, seeing this had a better idea however, and quickly pulled out the rest of the food he had stored.
"Tsk tsk… That's no way to think of things, my new friend. How about a treat to lighten our spirits before we leave." Loki said with a small smile in his eyes.
Uvogin wasn't incredibly smart, but he also grasped what Loki wanted to say at this time.
"You want to treat me to food before we leave? I'll tell you clearly in advance that I won't be polite." he spoke with a fiendish smile.
Loki smiled at this and began to showcase all of the food he had stolen.
"Eat as much as you can my friend. Good food is only best when shared with others, and I'll feel bad if you're not full." As used has hands to motion towards the table.
"Is that so?"
Uvogin, hearing this was no longer impatient as Loki's performance was right to his appetite.
"Then you can open the cans of food, and I will start a fire."
Nobunaga was also getting somewhat excited and started to find a spot to the side of the table.
Soon the food was finished and everyone had a bowl of stew and some dried meat in front of them. The scent spread through the entire room, entering their noses, and making them salivate.
"This is… meat?!"
Nobunaga and Uvogin looked at the bowl of stew in front of them with wide eyes. The stew was full of chunks of beef that were emitting a fragrance that caused them to gulp.
Machi was similar but was calmer having had some dried meat this morning.
"No need to wait for me, everyone! Please enjoy the food…" Loki said while making a gesture to eat.
After hearing this, the three of them first glanced at Loki before looking at each other again. After another second, they could no longer hesitate.
Soon they were diving into the food arranged on the table. Uvogin had decided to directly pick up the bowl and start scarfing it down. In contrast, Nobunaga and Machi had opted to eat slowly and savor it.
Nobunaga and Machi did not forget to give some evaluation to Loki while they were eating.
"This food is delicious!" said Nobunaga, with Machi nodding in agreement.
Uvogin meanwhile didn't seem to have time to pay attention to what Nobunaga and Machi were saying.
Under this aggressive eating method, soon all of his dried meat and stew was gone. Still, Uvogin continued with the rest of the large pot of stew.
Loki watched somewhat shocked as he ate himself.
He would think that Uvogin's appetite would be somewhat impossible to meet under normal circumstances.
Uvogin, who was obviously very satisfied with his food but extremely full, leaned back with a smile after eating the last bit of the stew.
Nobunaga and Machi were also extremely full at this time and looked content
"That was the most delicious meat I have ever eaten…" Nobunaga said, with a satisfied grin.
Uvogin, who heard this, looked at him like an idiot.
"The way you say it makes it sound like you have eaten it before."
"It's because I haven't eaten it before, so it tastes the best!" Nobunaga glared at him and said.
In any case, they were all extremely satisfied with the food as they all thanked Loki.
As they stood up, Uvogin walked up and put his hand on Loki. Although it should have been hard to stand up too quickly, their digestive systems were solid after years of eating food from the trash.
"Anyway, thanks for the food pal. If anyone bothers you in the future, feel free to come to me.!" Uvogin said while he glanced at the empty dishes.
A slight smirk found its way to Loki's face. He slowly took off the mask he had been wearing since waking up and putting it down.
"Oh you need not worry about me my friend. I happen to be quite strong myself, haha…" Loki said with a joking look on his face.
After hearing this Uvogin's face slowly turned a bit serious, and he asked immediately.
"May I ask, you got all of this food? Normally only the elders can eat this kind of stuff. Of course, it doesn't matter if it's inconvenient for you."
Hearing this, Nobunaga also looked over with a curious look in their eyes.
"Why of course I can, after all, it's not some sort of big secret. I happened to receive all of this food from our friendly neighbors roaming the outside of Meteor City." Loki said with a mischievous smile.
"Although if you wish to do the same it might be hard. I happen to be quite persuasive myself but I'm unsure if you could all persuade them in the same way."
Hearing this Nobunaga's eyes narrowed, hearing the subtle implication.
"Huh!?! You mean to tell me those guys hanging on the outskirts just gave it to you? Don't only gangs hang out around there?" Uvogin asked, confused, not understanding what Loki meant.
"Haha… After I gave them my argument, not a single one of them said a word as I took the food." Loki said with a smile.
"Really…? Nobunaga! Do you think we should try and ask them for some food?" Uvogin asked, looking towards Nobunaga stupidly.
Nobunaga instantly slapped the back of Uvogin's head in frustration.
"He means he killed them idiot!" Nobunaga yelled.
Uvogin hearing this instantly widened his eyes. He quickly turned his eyes back to Loki trying to gauge his strength.
"Do you think we could do the same?" Uvogin asked Nobunaga as he looked at Loki skeptically.
Loki, seeing this, gave a harmless smile before flaring his aura towards Nobunaga and Uvogin.
Nobunaga and Uvogin instantly felt the pressure descend on them as Loki's harmless smile seemed to morph into the smile of a demon from hell.
Just as quickly as the pressure descended though, it was released, leaving the two gasping for air.
Machi looked over to see the two gasping for air, instantly understanding the situation.
"Hah… What was that…" Nobunaga panted with a wary look in his eyes, as he caught his breath.
"Oh my… I must apologize. I hadn't meant to scare you, but I had thought that it would be best to clear up any misunderstandings of my strength. Even though I was quite unfortunate, I happened to get injured taking some food myself. I didn't want to see the both of you passing away after we just met." Loki said, trying to placate the two of them.
"As for your question… That would be Nen." Loki said with a smirk.
Hearing this made Machi's heart move slightly as Loki mentioned the term again. As for Uvogin and Nobunaga…
"Where did I hear this word?" Uvogin said with a frown, seemingly having recovered from the shock.
Nobunaga also seemed to have cheered up and quickly sunk into thought before his eyes lit up.
"Oh, I remember it now," he said as he clapped his hands.
"Chrollo talked about it."
"Chrollo?" Uvogin said confusedly before he slapped his fist into his palm.
"You're right. I remember that two days ago, Chrollo had inquired about some information from that old elder which seemed to include Nen." Uvogin said with his eyes brightening.
Hearing this, Loki's eyes went somewhat thoughtful.
'Chrollo Lucilfer… The future head of the Phantom Troupe. I wonder who this elder is?' Loki thought with a smile.
Machi was also slightly surprised at the mention of Chrollo. It would seem that she also knew Chrollo before this.
Uvogin, however, stared at Loki with interest.
"You also know Nen Loki? I heard that only the elders know how to use that!" he said, looking at Loki with scorching eyes.
"Can you teach us Nen?" asked Uvogin, seemingly unconcerned about Loki previously flaring his aura.
"Uvogin! You're being too sudden!" Nobunaga quickly scolded Uvogin, being a bit wary of Loki's strength, but he would also glance at Loki from time to time with eagerness and curiosity.
This did not even mention how curious Machi was. Not long ago, Loki had offered to teach her about Nen, but Uvogin and the others interrupted as he was about to start.
"Well I don't see why not." Loki responded with a smirk.
When the two of them had shown up earlier, he had already developed the idea of teaching the three of them together. Although they would most likely learn it in the future, teaching them now was a big favor to them.
Using the basic knowledge of Nen that they would soon learn in return for a favor from Machi, Uvogin, and Nobunaga was a great deal in his mind.
What's more, Uvogin, Nobunaga, and Machi will all become strong nen users in the future. It would be good to have a better relationship with them now. Who knew if they could help him in the future.
Hearing this answer, Uvogin and the others were shocked.
This was a magical power, and even the elders were unwilling to teach this, but Loki was willing just like that?!
Nobunaga and Machi were startled, but Uvogin smiled and opened his mouth to speak.
"Hahaha… Loki, I have to say, you're definitely to my taste! From now on, I'll have your back!!" Uvogin said with a laugh.

Uvogin passed over a now somewhat broken chair and wiped off some of the dust.
"Come sit down and tell us, Loki!" he said with a smile.
Loki, seeing this, felt relieved.
"Didn't you want to head to the garbage piles my friend? Perhaps we should wait until later…" Loki said with a smirk.
Seeing this, Machi laughed a bit while Nobunaga grinned, before they all calmed down.
Loki, seeing this, cleared his throat and started to explain.
"Well then, I suppose the first thing you need to know about Nen is…."
