"Where am I?"
Loki slowly opened his eyes which was accompanied by a minor headache.
"I remember I tried to kill Hector and was shot in the back after killing blank…." Loki thought to himself.
Loki looked around to see that he was surrounded by garbage piles emitting smoke and miasma around him. Further away was dry, barren land that seemed to extend for miles.
There was no small amount of people around him, and there were even traces of man-made structures out of trash.
"It seems like this isn't an ordinary garbage dump…." Loki thought to himself.
Loki wanted to stand up, but suddenly he realized that his body seemed to have shrunk. His body was now the same as when he was about twelve years old.
"What's happening?" Loki thought in a daze.
"I need more information about where I am."

Loki was now scrounging for trash, hoping to find food in the place he called home. Although his small body looked dirty and his clothes were in tatters, if you looked underneath, you would find that he was very well developed for his age.
His dirty silver hair and his clear gold eyes made him look very appealing, but the ruthless glow within would scare off whoever tried to mess with him.
Within the few weeks he had been settling into the new environment, he had finally figured out where he was.
He was now in the world of Hunter x Hunter.
Specifically, he was in Meteor City. He had no idea what year it was, but he knew that this world was dangerous regardless of what time period he was in.
Only by possessing strength could he have the capital to walk in this dangerous world; in this world, Nen was the foundation of strength.
The ability to manipulate life energy freely and the life energy emitted from the body, also commonly known as aura, and the force used to attack or defend is called nen.
Learning this skill is also a condition for becoming a true Hunter.
Nen can be trained in one of the four major principles, and anyone can learn it. However, in order to not be used for evil, it is a force hidden from the public eye.
The four major principles are:
Ten lets you maintain your aura, this provides a constant flow of aura and prevents any unused aura from leaking out
Zetsu stops the flow of aura from their body altogether. By closing all of their aura nodes, the user is able to halt all outflow of their aura like water from a valve, making their presence much harder or even impossible to sense.
Ren focuses on outputting a larger amount of aura than Ten, projecting it outwards explosively. This amplifies the user's physical strength and durability and provides a large pool of aura for any advanced techniques or individual skills they decide to use, albeit at the cost of expanding said aura.
Hatsu is one's personal expression of Nen. Its qualities are influenced by, but not restricted to, the Nen user's natural Nen category, one of the six available.
These are just the basic skills anyone with nen can learn.
There are also advanced skills that are harder to learn like Gyo, In, En, and Shu.
Gyo is an advanced application of Ren by which a Nen user concentrates a larger than normal portion of their aura into one specific body part. It increases the strength of that one body part, but leaves the rest of the body more vulnerable.
'In' is an advanced form of Zetsu used to render one's aura imperceptible, even to other Nen users, effectively concealing it. Unlike Zetsu, however, 'In' does not stop the user's aura flow; instead, it hides it, making it impossible to perceive with any of the five senses or extrasensory perception.
En is an advanced application of Ten and Ren. With Ren, aura usually envelops only a small amount of space around the user's body. En is when one extends their Ren so that their aura extends further than normal, then uses Ten simultaneously to contain and give shape to that aura, usually a sphere.
The minimum requirement is to extend one's aura to a radius of more than two meters (6.56168 feet) and hold it longer than one minute.
Someone using En can feel the shape and movement of anything within the area covered by their aura, with the degree of awareness and finesse depending on their level of skill.
Shu is an advanced application of Ten. Shu allows a Nen user to enshroud an object with their aura and to use that object as an extension of their own body. For example, one could use Shu to extend their Ten around a weapon, which would strengthen and protect it.
Loki had decided to stay in Meteor City for a while until he felt he had enough strength to leave. Leaving Meteor City wasn't exactly as easy as he had thought as it required getting passed the numerous gangs surrounding it unless you wanted to join them.
So until then he was stuck in this hell hole.
Everyday he would meditate before going out to scrounge for food in the trash heaps, careful to avoid any fighting. While there were plenty of fights here, the elders controlled most people and didn't let.
At first, adapting to his new environment was hard, but he soon thrived.
It was an area where the strong survived. Loki began to scrounge for food while getting use to his new body. He practiced some martial arts trying to get his body back into coordination but it was slow work.
For the next period of time Loki spent his time slowly raising his low level fitness and meditating trying to open his aura nodes. It was only after about two months that he was able to open his aura nodes.
Feeling overjoyed from finally opening his aura nodes, Loki went out to the trash mounds for the day.
After a little bit Loki had found some food and was about to head to his small hut for the day when a large man came and stopped him.
"Hey there, little guy… don't you think you should share some of that with me..?" he said with a nasty smile as he leaned in close to Loki.
A bloodthirsty killing intent burst out of Loki while staring at him. His gold eyes gleamed with a cold sheen as he stared at the man.
"Heh… Do you really think you can beat me with…" he started to speak, but before he could finish, Loki quickly stabbed his fingers toward the other's throat, leaving the man choking.
The man's eyes bulged, and he wanted to say something but couldn't as he was still choking.
Loki quickly elbowed the man in the stomach forcing him to his knees before quickly kneeing the man in the head.
Soon the man was lying on the ground with blood coming out of his nose.
Loki quickly looked around and found a piece of glass in the trash piles around him and proceeded to slit the man's throat.
After this, he quickly got up and began walking towards his small house. There was no change in his expression or mood throughout this process.
It was just another day in Meteor City.
