Chapter 2 - Monster

After hearing such ridicule Anna ran, She didn't know where she was going all she knew was that she needed to run, run far away and never let them catch you. She had run into the forest, no, not the forest , into the mist, a forest spread all about the kingdom covered in a white fog, although the mists were quite small forests located across the kingdom, it was forbidden to enter them. It was said that every single part of the mist connects when you go inside, they say it can take you across the kingdom in just a few steps. Whether that was really true is unknown as whoever goes into the mist doesn't come back out, although in this case, that might have been the reason Anna had gone in the first place, either she'd end up on the other side of the Kingdom or she'd end up dead.

Anna

'Lord Lucas Evans', out of all the people in the Kingdom, they want me to marry 'Lord Lucas Evans', yes, his position is quite high, I'd gain a lot from marrying him, I've heard quite some good things about him as well, but he's married and has a son. I'm not looking to become some second wife or mistress of his, my parents must be proud, they've really outdone themselves this time, they finally sold me off for their own reputation. I refuse, I'd rather die than take part in such nonsense. Although, those were my initial thoughts as I came here I'm beginning to rethink, I'm trying to focus on what's right in front of me and I've realized something. From the outside this forest is covered with fog ,but once you're inside it's quite clear. Actually, I can see everything perfectly clear, the birds ,trees, the bushes, it feels as though I'm covered in lushes of green as I run by them.

I can feel the pain from the multiple scratches on my legs and surely the bruises on my feet, when did I even lose my shoes? The forest is vast, it seems a lot bigger compared to the years I've spent walking by it on the outside, I wonder if Theon followed me in, no, he would never, no one would ever go into the mist willingly, no one with a will to live. Was that the case, did I no longer wish for tomorrow, no that's not true, it's not tomorrow I detest, it's the tomorrow that awaits me personally, the tomorrow that includes me marrying 'Lucas Evans' that is the tomorrow I detest. My thoughts are put on halt, as I slam right into what I initially believe to be a brick wall, or a tree bark considering this is the forest, but i can clearly see it's not as I fall back onto my arse and stare up at the monster of a man who currently seems to be heights above me, dark black hair, which is long and seems curly by nature, he's shirtless and has a rather muscular build, not one of a Lumberjack but maybe a knight, his skin is slightly tanned and seems to glisten under the sun, his lips are thin and light pink, only complement his chiseled jaw and his eyes....

His eyes are black, two dark black soulless orbs staring right at me, never in my life has i seen eyes so empty, there is no reflection, just darkness, it's like looking into a dark black hole and before I realize what's happening, I'm running, again, but this time I'm running back the way I came, I'm running because that is no human, I,m running because I had just ran into a MONSTER. Pun intended.
