Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: Forbidden Feelings

Seeing Durrell Landon's expression, Quiana Sutton pursed her lips, didn't say anything, just put down the gun and stepped aside to call Grace Sutton.

"Sister Grace, when will the reality TV show 'Outdoor Survival Challenge' start?"

Grace, still working overtime, saw Quiana's call and answered, surprised after hearing her question:

"When did you become so enthusiastic?"

Quiana glanced back at Durrell Landon sitting not far away, the light flickering, confusion in her eyes.

He indeed has the charm to mesmerize people, making her harbor thoughts she shouldn't have.

Suppressing this emotion, she said calmly:

"Probably because I've been too idle lately, I want to find something to do."

Grace didn't suspect anything: "The promotion will start tomorrow, and it will begin in a week."

"Okay."

After the call, she returned to the shooting line and continued to shoot, firing over a hundred bullets in less than half an hour.

Until she lost interest, she expressionlessly dropped the handgun,

"I don't want to play anymore."

Durrell Landon stood up, walked towards her step by step, his movements clearly languid, yet exuding a lazy elegance: "Since you've had enough, let's head back to Imperial View Manor."

Quiana: "..."

This was the first time she'd seen Durrell so persistent.

At this point, she had completely calmed down and was no longer repulsed by the idea of returning to Imperial View Manor.

...

The next day.

The official Weibo of the reality TV show 'Outdoor Survival Challenge' released six silhouette pictures, asking everyone to guess who these six guests were.

Shortly after publication, a wave of discussion ensued.

[This show has always been full of men, why are there women this time?]

[Exactly, if you want fame, can't you join other shows? Why be a princess on this one?]

Some women couldn't stand it anymore and retorted.

[Don't be so sexist, who said women are inferior to men? Why can't a woman join this show? What if she's a martial artist? Maybe you men can't take a punch.]

Immediately, some men couldn't hold back.

[With those skinny arms and legs, she doesn't look like a martial artist at all.]

The argument was heated, and suddenly someone interjected:

[By the way... don't you think this silhouette of a woman looks like Quiana Sutton?]

The crowd was silent for a moment, although the smoking photo last time was quite unexpected, it couldn't change everyone's impression overnight.

[Don't joke, she can't even unscrew a soda bottle cap, joining this show is courting death, isn't it?]

...

This show originally didn't have much buzz, but this time it reached unprecedented heights of discussion, leaving the show's producer very satisfied.

By the time the audience finds out, if the silhouette is indeed Quiana Sutton, wouldn't the topic explode?

Quiana hadn't even gotten up yet when she received a call from Isabelle Somerville.

Isabelle started screaming directly over the phone: "Ah ah ah... Cece, are you going to join the 'Outdoor Survival Challenge' show?"

At a glance, she'd recognized the silhouette of the woman as Quiana.

Quiana moved the phone slightly away from her ear, lowered the volume a bit, and replied, "Yes."

Receiving Quiana's confirmation, Isabelle was even more excited than if she were joining the show herself.

"Cece, my brother is also going to join this show, feel free to order him around when the time comes."

Quiana: "..."

Just entering the room and hearing his own sister exploiting him, Axius Somerville: "..."

Quiana chuckled softly: "Okay."

After the call ended, Axius just happened to take breakfast out of the package.

He asked rather helplessly:

"Sister, am I your real brother or is Quiana your real sister?"

"Hmph—"

Isabelle sneered softly, "Of course it's Cece."

At this, she paused and lowered her eyelids, letting a faint gleam cast a shadow on her face.

"Brother, don't forget, if it weren't for Cece saving me back then, you wouldn't have seen your sister again."

Back in high school, just after graduation, she had dragged her friends on a trip.

During the trip, she was deceived, taken abroad, unaware of her location, only aware of being on a deserted rural road, struggling desperately, both despair and pleading for a savior in her heart.

Perhaps the heavens truly heard her plea, as someone did appear on that deserted path.

That person was Quiana Sutton.

She couldn't describe the feeling when she first saw Quiana, just felt that love and hate in this world held no meaning to her; her eyes were cold, yet she possessed an unfathomable allure.

Initially, it seemed she had no intention to help, just glanced at her indifferently and was ready to leave. Those men, seeing Quiana was prettier, turned their attention to her, but as soon as they placed a hand on her shoulder, it was dislocated.

In less than five minutes, all those present were lying on the ground, and whether they were dead or not, she didn't know. Her entire focus was on Quiana at the time.

Seeing Quiana about to leave, she impulsively chased after her, shamelessly clung to her, and begged her to take her home.

Originally she thought Quiana would definitely refuse, but to her surprise, she agreed.

Naturally, upon returning home, she was scolded, and gratitude toward Quiana was profound.

Quiana lingered at her house for several days, and during that time heard her brother playing the piano, wrote a song and gave it to him, which unexpectedly became his signature hit. She subsequently wrote several more songs for him. Seeing Quiana's talent in music, when a music-related reality show appeared, she recommended Quiana for it, never imagining she would win the championship.

What delighted her more was that Quiana signed with the same agency as her brother.

When Quiana officially debuted, she became her little fangirl, actively engaging on Quiana's social feeds as if she were a robot.

She didn't even promote her brother with such devotion, causing him a lot of resentment.

Axius walked over to Isabelle, seeing her staring foolishly at a photo of Quiana, smiled helplessly, and shook his head: "Sister, I know you're excited that your hero is joining a reality show, but you still need to eat breakfast."

Isabelle put her phone away, tucked it in her pocket, and took a sip of millet congee, suddenly thinking of something: "Brother, there might be dangers in this reality show, so make sure to properly protect Cece."

She paused here, "No, I should ask Cece to protect you instead."

Axius: "..."

Is this how poorly he was viewed in his sister's eyes?
