Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: Filial Piety Is a Fine Quality

Because Bertha Haines was in a good mood, she didn't want to have a conflict with Nancy Norris and risk affecting her trip the day after tomorrow.

After going downstairs, she went into the kitchen.

Sebastian Page followed her in and helped bring the dishes to the table.

Every time he brushed past her, his gaze would unconsciously land on her, and then he'd smirk to himself.

In the living room, Daphne Shaw and Jerry Moore exchanged smiles.

"This boy has finally come to his senses."

"When has he ever been in the kitchen at home?"

The dinner was quite pleasant for everyone, except Nancy Norris, because in Sebastian Page's eyes, she was no different from air.

Nancy Norris felt a bit jealous.

Jealous of the way Sebastian looked at Bertha, jealous of the gentle tone he used when speaking to her.

So, she deliberately asked Bertha.

"Bertha, have your injuries healed? Oh, and don't forget to apply the anti-scar cream, otherwise, the scars will look ugly."
