Amos Smith seemed surprised that uterine coldness could lead to infertility. If a woman couldn't get pregnant, it would be a major regret in her life.
Cleveland looked at Bertha Haines and replied earnestly.
"Severe uterine coldness can lead to other health issues. This problem cannot be underestimated."
Amos Smith said, "Cleveland, please prescribe her another half-month worth of medication."
After Cleveland left, Bertha Haines felt a bit ashamed. Others were kind enough to help her with her illness, yet she had wasted their goodwill.
"Can you tell me why you haven't been taking your medicine properly?"
Amos Smith stared at Bertha Haines for a moment and then asked her. He thought he was speaking gently, but the young girl still began to tear up.
"I'm afraid of the pain. I thought if my period was irregular, I could endure less pain."
