Chapter 272 - Chapter 272

Grace opened her eyes with a smile plastered all over her face. She felt a little sore, especially in between her legs, but last night was worth every pain.

She rolled over and fell into Mike's hands. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her on the forehead.

"You are awake already? Since when if you don't mind me asking?" Grace asked Mike.

"Let's say twenty minutes ago." Mike said, and Grace sat up.

"So what have you been doing since then?" Grace asked with her mouth pouted.

"Well I've been admiring your beautiful face and body. You are literally the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. And I'm not saying this to tease you." Mike said.

"I know, isn't that why you fell for me?" Grace said, and Mike kissed her.

"How was last night?" Mike asked, and Grace grew red with embarrassment.

"Are you really expecting me to answer that question?" Grace asked him, and Mike nodded his head.

"Of course. I want to know if I did well." Mike teased, and Grace ran off from the bed and ran to the bathroom.

"I'm not answering that question, Mike. And I want to take my bath, don't come here and don't look." Grace said, and Mike burst into laughter.

"I seriously can't believe you are still shy even everything that we did last night. Do you want me to go into details. I can go ahead if you want." Mike teased, and Grace rolled her eyes.

"Mike!" She called from inside the bathroom.

"Fine!" Mike said and continued laughing. Grace couldn't help but laugh as well.

At breakfast, everyone was present except Maria, Jane, and Chris. Maria couldn't help but sulk a little bit. As much as she wants to pretend to be cool with this. She can't stand being around all those people.

Her phone rang, and she immediately picked up the call-up.

"I told you not to call me at all. I'm going to call you when I have the information available. But get ready today. We are going to kidnap her. But make sure you are ready to swing into action at any time today." Maria said and ended the call. It will be a disaster if anyone were to hear her talking like that.

Now she has no choice but to go out for breakfast. She needs the information on where they would be going for the picnic.

Maria heaved a deep sigh and headed out of the room. She arrived, and everyone was chatty and happy. As usual, Whitney was seated beside her husband, and she felt like strangling her for real.

Maria didn't bother saying any greetings, and William was too engrossed with Whitney he didn't notice her walk into the dining hall.

"Where's Chris and his wife?" Madam Rebecca calling everyone's attention.

"I don't know, grandma. But you asked them to make babies. Probably, that's what they are doing." Grace said, and everyone laughed.

"Like we did last night." Mike whispered into Grace's ears, and she turned red with embarrassment.

She looked up at him, and he honestly felt like kissing her. Cassie noticed both of them and could already tell that something had happened between them.

Cassie cleared her throat, and Grace was forced to look at her. Cassie winked at her, and Grace blushed.

"I knew it. You are going to tell Jane and I everything, and you are not leaving anything out. You wouldn't dare." Cassie said, and Grace laughed softly.

"What is happening here?" Jane asked as she and Chris walked into the dining hall holding hands.

"Our plan last night worked, Jane." Cassie said, and Jane didn't understand what she meant at first. She then realised, and her eyes widened with shock, and her mouth dropped.

"Grace!! Really?" Jane ran to her and asked, and Grace covered her face with her palm.

"I knew it was going to work! Oh, Cassie! You are such a genius. We should do it again." Jane said.

"Well did you?" Cassie asked, and Jane nodded her head.

"Of course! All night, in fact!" She exclaimed.

"And you?" Jane asked, and cassie stood up. She brought their heads together.

"Under the shower. You both should try it, so hot and romantic." Cassie said, and all three of them giggled.

"What are you three talking about that's making you giggle so much?" Madam Rebecca asked and laughed as well.

"Don't worry about that grandma, but you need to get ready. You might be having three little babies to play with at this rate." Cassie was the one who spoke, and everyone laughed.

"Where did you two go? We thought you were in your room?" Grace said.

"We had to leave early to check out something. But we are here now. We should hurry so we can take the kids out already." Chris answered and brought Jane to sit down.

He can tell that Jane is still an emotional wreck despite pretending to be fine. She was awfully silent on their way coming back, and he had no idea how to console her.

Their daughter is out there somewhere, and they have no idea where. He can only hope they are able to get to the bottom of this faster and solve the problem.

He noticed Jane was staring at Mrs Whitney and leaned towards her.

"Are you sure you don't want to ask her?" Chris asked her, and she shook her head.

Jane didn't feel the need to. She never told her the truth all these years. There's no way she would tell the truth now. She would find a way to get the truth another means.

They all finished breakfast, and the kids were brought out.

"Mummy! Daddy!!" Both Chris and Jane ran to their father and mother.

"Oh my sweethearts! Good morning." Jane knelt down and hugged them.

"Thelma said we are all going for a picnic. Is that true?" Chris asked, and Jane nodded her head.

"Yes my love. It's been a while since we spent time together. And we are a family now. These are the sort of things family do." Jane said and hugged them both.

"You both won't say hello to your aunt?" Grace pouted her mouth, pretending to be sad. The kids ran to her and hugged her.

"So the bus is ready. We should hop in and be on our way already." Mike, who went to check the bus, said, and they all walked out of the house.

Whitney, William, and Madam Rebecca walked them outside. Williams felt so complete and fulfilled. His family is thriving, and the love of his life is right here by his side.

"You all have fun. And don't stay out too late because of the kids." Whitney yelled after them.

"Sure! We heard you." Grace replied as the bus drove off.

Maria, who stood by the door, ran upstairs immediately and picked up her phone.

"It's time. You can start following them now. I will send you the plate number of the bus. The picture and information of who you are picking." Maria said, and the guy over the phone chuckled.

"I don't need a picture to recognise your daughter. Everyone knows who Grace Smith is, even though I wonder why you would want to hurt your daughter. It's not my business, but you rich folks are so weird." The hitman said.

"Exactly! It's not your business, so keep your mouth shut and your stupid opinion to yourself." Maria said and ended the call. Immediately, she forwarded that information to him and hoped that he would do a good job.

She needs to show Whitney who is in charge. And that she's still the same and hasn't changed. She seems to have forgotten the kind of person she is and what she's capable of doing.

Jane, Chris, the kids, and others all arrived at the private beach of the Smith family. This is where Grace decided they would be having the picnic.

Somewhere they can enjoy their privacy and have some fun.

"We are going to set up some things over there. Cassie, please help with the bench over there, I'm coming, I need to get something from the bus." Grace said and headed back to the bus.

Meanwhile, the hitman has been following her since he spotted the bus coming out of their estate. He got the necessary information, making the job easier.

He has been outside here in his car, waiting for the right moment to attack. All of a sudden, he spotted Grace walking down to the bus with no one with her.

He jumped up from his car seat and watched for a while. Still, there was no one. He smiled as this was the perfect opportunity for him.

"I need to strike now. I just need to take care of the damn driver that came with them." He said and carried his gun with him.

The hitman headed towards the bus, ready for his assignment.
