Victor Parker: "..."
Who spoiled this lousy attitude?
Polly Sutton spent hours inside chatting casually with the old carpenter, asking for water and food during the conversation. Though there weren't many useful talks, the old man was willing to eat.
Victor sat on the couch, pressing his fingers to his temples, listening to hours of talks about son and daughter-in-law's family conflicts, unfilial grandchildren, and unfriendly neighbors. Before he lost his temper, the old man had already fallen asleep.
Great.
Polly came out, burping from being full.
"Did you eat enough?" Victor asked coldly.
"The snacks here aren't as good as those at our school." Polly said as she picked up a glass of water from the table and took a sip.
The listener in the room raised a hand, wanting to say it was President Parker's glass, but noticed the president had no reaction.
The listener looked between Victor and Polly, realizing something significant.
