Jayr POV - Dragon Ball Universe, Null Realm - Age 780
Watching my Digimon Partners struggle against their opponents, I hold my D-Ark tightly and reach a conclusion, 'It is clear that they have almost reached the limit of what they can do at their Perfect Level. I'll let Paildramon and Holy Angemon struggle a little bit more, and then, I'll help them evolve to their Ultimate Level.'
While I'm thinking that, I hear the proud voice of Belmod, the God of Destruction of the 11th Universe, as he laughs and says, "Hiahahaha! That's what I'm talkin' about! Hiehahaha! What do you gotta say to that, eh? Jiren and his squad are just too much for you! It's just a matter of time before you're wiped out!"
Hearing that, Beerus growls in irritation, which makes Whis immediately reassure him, "I wouldn't be discouraged just yet, Beerus-sama. It's going to take more than that to stop our team. If the past has taught us anything, then that last attack should trigger Vegeta to reach an even greater power."
At the same time, Sidra, the God of Destruction of the 9th Universe, also seems very worried about the situation, but just like Whis, his Guide Angel, Mohito, quickly tries to reassure him, "The same is true also for us, Sidra-sama. Sure, our situation is indeed quite precarious, as we have only one warrior left. However, that warrior is Peppars. You, of all the people, must know just how difficult and slippery an opponent he is. His actual power may be the weakest among all the remaining warriors, but his wits and willingness to go to any length to reach his objective are second to none."
However, Sidra keeps his gaze focused on his last warrior on the fighting stage, and in a solemn tone, he says, "That's what I'm worried about. Peppars can be absolutely unpredictable. I admit I have no idea of what he is going to do if he actually wins this Tournament and has his wish granted... In fact, among all the warriors of our universe, he is the only one I don't wish to see winning. I would very well prefer our whole universe being erased than giving that monster a chance to have his wish granted by the Super Dragon Balls."
While they are talking about that, I notice that the dust from Jiren's blast clears, revealing that Vegeta is still on the fighting stage, but he is very hurt to the point that he has reverted to his base form and is now panting heavily.
Goku quickly approaches him and asks if he is okay, but he doesn't reply and keeps his gaze focused on Jiren, who calmly stops in front of them, making Vegeta click his tongue and comment, "Tch. Even after that whole volley, you're not even breathing hard. Defeating you won't be easy."
Jiren then assures the prince of Saiyans, "You can try all you want, but that will be impossible. Your fighting style reeks of arrogance. Ego infects your techniques and makes them impure. You think you're entitled to greatness."
Hearing that, Vegeta snorts and agrees, "Hmph. Is that supposed to be insulting? You say I'm arrogant... I say 'damn right!' That's pride. Pride in the Saiyan I am. The mighty prince of the ultimate warrior race!"
While saying that, Vegeta transforms back into Super Saiyan Blue, and as his Ki starts rising up, he starts to charge his Final Flash while yelling, "Impossible to defeat you? Don't make me laugh! I won't surrender control... That's not the man I am! Let Kakarot use his thoughtless Ultra Instinct all he wants, but I'm the one who's going to crush you, Jiren. And I'll do it my way!"
As he is saying this, he Ki rises even more while he gathers an absurd amount of energy, illuminating the whole Null Realm in a shining light blue hue.
The Deities watching the fight are surprised to sense Vegeta's Ki rising up even higher than before, and that, through Vegeta's own pride, Jiren has awakened Vegeta's dormant power.
"Aaaahh!"
"His energy is skyrocketing! Now he's even stronger than when he was driving back Jiren a minute ago. But how? What is the deal with these Saiyans and their bottomless power?"
"Jiren may have thought that critique would embarrass Vegeta, but all it actually did was remind him of his pride and awaken even more power."
"The light around him is very bright!"
"Vegeta sure is getting powerful now, isn't he?"
Vegeta then taunts Jiren into taking his Final Flash head-on before he discharges a massive golden beam of energy with electric ki streaming around it towards his opponent, landing a direct hit.
When the dust clears, Vegeta is thrilled to see Jiren flat on the ground, but Jiren suddenly appears right in front of him holding a sphere of red Ki in his hand that is touching the shocked Vegeta's stomach.
Jiren compliments Vegeta, "I commend you for harnessing so much power in your last attack." Before the sphere in his hand expands in size, engulfing and electrifying Vegeta, before it detonates in a massive explosion.
As the smoke clears, Vegeta is clearly lying down on the ground, making Khai boast that Jiren always surpasses his opponents, while the Zenos are amazed to see that Vegeta's attack had no effect against Jiren.
""Wow!""
"Vegeta's attack was so amazing, but it didn't do anything."
"Jiren's incredible!"
In the aftermath of Jiren's overwhelming defeat of Vegeta, everyone is amazed at Jiren's power, and while Vegeta struggles on the ground, Jiren turns around, crosses his arms, and says, "Now, warrior... time to rest."
In the bleachers of the spectators' stand, Belmod and Khai note what an honor it is for Jiren to acknowledge Vegeta as a "warrior"; he is praising Vegeta's bravery in facing him with everything he had.
At the same time, the Zenos are impressed with Jiren too and amuse themselves imitating him.
Goku comes to Vegeta's aid, but as he is struggling to his feet, Vegeta says, "I can tell, Jiren. You still aren't using your full power," before collapsing once more.
At this point, taking over from where Vegeta left off, Goku powers up to fight Jiren once more while saying, "I'm tagging in, Jiren!" which makes Jiren turn around to face him and say, "It is time, Son Goku."
Meanwhile, Dyspo is still throwing Peppars around by the head and delivers what he believes to be a finishing blow by slamming his head into yet another pile of rubble with such force that it crumbles and collapses onto Peppars.
Shortly after that, Dyspo laughs and brags, "Hahaha. Now you're feelin' my real power! That'll teach you to run your mouth off to a Pride Trooper! Hahaha!"
The next moment, a portal opens right in front of Dyspo, which makes him stop laughing, and from it, a completely fine Peppars walks out, and at exactily the same time, the black marked tip of another one of his tentacles fades away together with the body of Peppars buried under the rubble as I feel his power doubling yet again.
Then Peppars smirks and comments, "If that's all you can muster, Pride Trooper, you shouldn't feel so proud. Huhuhu."
This shocks Dyspo, who likely still doesn't understand how Peppars' abilities work, to the point that he exclaims, "You're fine!? How is it possible!?" which makes Peppars say, "This is funny. Because that's exactly what I was about to ask you, long ears. As in, 'How is it possible that you thought that such a minuscule attack could be sufficient to topple a top-tier warrior like me?' This is such a grievous mistake that makes me want to punish you until you beg for mercy."
After saying that, Peppars waves his hand and a small portal opens above him from which dozens of laser-like Ki beams come out, raining down on Dyspo's position, but Dyspo immediately reacts and, using his exceptional speed to move out of the way, making Peppars click his tongue in annoyance.
Elsewhere, Paildramon realized that Top is much better than he is at close range and decides to take advantage of his ability to fly using his wings to keep the distance and harass Top by continuously firing a barrage of energy waves with his two organic cannons that extend from his waist.
However, after dodging and blocking Paildramon's attack for some time, Top decides to change strategy and responds by gathering 5 orange Ki Balls at the tip of his fingers, placing his left hand on his right wrist, and firing his own barrage of multiple energy bullets that clash with Paildramon's energy waves with neither gaining a clear advantage over the other.
On the opposite side of the fighting stage, I see that the battle between Holy Angemon and Cell has also reached a state of stall as the two make use of their wings to fight in mid-air.
Holy Angemon clearly chose to use a strategy that is the complete opposite of Paildramon, as he keeps himself very close to Cell, preventing him from using any big Ki Blast or technique, relying mostly on his energy sword to attack and shield to defend himself.
However, despite this choice, Holy Angemon still isn't able to gain any kind of advantage over Cell, as not only he is faster, stronger, and much more experienced, but there is also the fact that even in the rare cases when one of his attacks successfully lands and harm Cell, the Biological Android is able to almost instantly recover thanks to the absurd regeneration factor he has inherted from Piccolo.
This combination of immense speed, power, vitality, and almost limitless energy makes Cell truly one of the toughest opponents to face for Holy Angemon, who can barely keep up thanks to the sheer versatility of his abilities, but who is quickly finding himself overwhelmed.
After checking on my Digimon Partners and confirming that they can still hold on without evolving to their Ultimate Level for a little longer, I focus my gaze on the battle between the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly and the Aries Gold Saint Kiki.
The situation here is more or less what is happening with Paildramon and Holy Angemon; they are also pretty much equal, with the clear difference that in this case, Broly is the one who is actually struggling against Kiki.
The reason why Broly is struggling isn't that he is actually weaker than Kiki; in fact, in sheer pure power, Legendary Super Saiyan Broly is much stronger than Kiki, and even a single one of his punches is currently powerful enough to actually break the Aries Gold Cloth.
However, his fighting style is way too direct and simple to actually be effective against a Saint of the level of Kiki, who can quickly react and counter moves he has already experienced before. On top of that, the combination of his near-instantaneous teleportation and immensely powerful telekinesis makes him an even harder enemy to face.
Broly is fully experiencing just how difficult is facing Aries Kiki without an abolutely overwhelming power, after all, any Ki Blast and Energy Wave he fires is instantly blocked and reflected back to him by Kiki's Crystal Wall, if Broly tries to close in and attack him directly at close range, Kiki gets away by teleporting out of harm's way while using his Telekinesis on the nearby rubble to hurl them toward Broly hitting him with blocks, rocks, and rubbles of Kachi Katchin the hardest material of the Dragon Ball Multiverse.
However, despite how it looks, the situation isn't as one-sided as it seems, because throughout the whole battle, the monster that is Broly keeps improving.
His Ki keeps rising, getting stronger and stronger, and his reflexes and movements keep getting faster and faster, and slowly but surely, Broly is getting closer and closer to actually landing a hit on Kiki, whose expression turns somber and somber as he also realizes the same.
Coming to the conclusion that if the battle continues like this, he is going to lose sooner or later, Kiki immediately changes his tactics and decides to kick up the pace.
Kiki then makes his Cosmo burn, and as a gold aura envelopes his body, he states, "You are without any doubt one of the strongest foes I have ever faced. Prepare yourself. This is going to hurt a bit."
The phantom image of his Guardian Constellation, the ram, appears behind him, and then he unleashes the signature move of his grandmaster, the former Aries Gold Saint and Pope of Athena, Shion, "Stardust Revolution!!"
Kiki raises his right arm and makes his Cosmo spin around it, then he lowers his arm, and makes his Cosmo explodes, throwing it the attack in the form of countless small stars that move at the speed of the light, and instantly hit Broly's body making him grunt in pain while sending him crashing into the nearby rubbles with such force that they get instantly pulverized rising a thick cloud of dust while making the whole fighting stage shake with such intensity that the more damaged parts start to directly crumble making many fo the people watching comment.
"Whoa! I didn't even see how Broly was hit!"
"The power behind that technique also can't be ignored. It's actually frightening!"
"Impossible! That attack was much faster than anything Jiren showed us before!"
"Indeed, but what is even more surprising is how exceptional Kiki's control actually is. Every single one of those attacks had more than enough power to actually destroy an entire universe, and there were billions of them! Despite that, every single attack was perfectly controlled and contained to the point that it has only actually harmed its intended target. Not even Beerus-sama has such exquisite control; only the Grand Minister and the best of my siblings can reach such levels."
"Damn! Are you telling me that there are at least 11 more warriors just like him in Jayr's Universe? This is very scary. On top of that, he is also so young!"
"So bright! Just like stars!"
"So shiny! Kiki is incredible too!"
""This is fantastic!""
However, this is nowhere near enough to take out a foe on the level of Broly, whose Ki bursts out with such intensity that it directly blows the cloud of dust away, revealing that even if he was hurt by Kiki's technique, it wasn't enough to take Broly out.
In the end, Broly is mostly fine with the upper part of his outfit destroyed and some shallow bruises here and there.
The next moment, Broly rushes out toward Kiki moving with such speed that in almost an instant he is already in front of him charging green light energy from around his body and gathering it into his palm to form a bright-green energy sphere before he thrusts the hand with the bright-green energy sphere forward to attack Kiki with a point-blank Eraser Cannon.
Luckly, Kiki reacts in time and immediately teleports out of the way, but then, he reappears a few meters away from Broly with a grim face as massive cracks can be seen on the left shoulder piece of the Aries Gold Cloth a sign that Broly was able to at least land a glancing blow despite the fact that Kiki teleported away in time.
Seeing that, Kiki once again burns his Cosmo, and as a gold aura envelopes his body, he mutters, "It is clear that he is getting closer and closer. It appears that I've to conclude this battle as fast as possible."
The phantom image of his Guardian Constellation, the ram, appears behind him, and then he unleashes the signature move of his master, the former Aries Gold Saint Mu, "Starlight Extinction!!"
The accumulated Cosmo is released in the form of multiple photon shocks that hit Broly across his body countless times at the speed of light making him scream in pain, at the same time, blinding light completely surrounds the target all while it tries to absorb, dissolve and extinguish the opponent in a swirl of light, however, Broly fights back and with a wild roar, he unleashes a massive burst Ki turnig the swirl of golden light into a chaotic mess of bright green Ki and golden Cosmo much to the shock of Kiki who exclaims, "This is unbeliviable! He is breaking the Starlight Extinction through pure, sheer force of his energy!"
Shortly after that, Broly's massive Ki surges even more, completely overpowering Kiki's Starlight Extinction. At this point, Broly makes his move; he opens his mouth and charges a green energy sphere.
Then, after roaring loudly, Broly wildly flings his head, spewing a massive fiery wave of green Ki at Kiki from his mouth with such power that the remaining golden Cosmo of the Starlight Extinction is directly blown apart, and even Broly himself is pushed back by it.
The next instant, the massive fiery wave of green Ki reaches Kiki, moving at a speed faster than light, hitting him and causing an extremely massive explosion that once again shakes the fighting stage while making more of the damaged parts crumble.
Watching that, I can't help but wince a little while thinking, 'Ouch... Kiki is going to feel that one for sure. Luckily, Broly doesn't want to kill Kiki, so he is still somewhat holding back, and on top of that, there is the fact that the Aries Gold Cloth took most of the brunt of that last attack, so Kiki is not out of the fight yet. However, for sure he is hurt, and the Gold Cloth itself isn't in a good state after that massive energy wave...'
While I'm thinking that, I focus back on Goku, who stands directly in front of Jiren, slowly getting closer, ready to resume their battle, while his teammates in the bleachers question his strategy.
"What is Goku-san doing creeping toward Jiren like that?"
"The Spirit Bomb failed. So did Vegeta's Final Flash. Long-range attacks are pointless. He has no choice but to close in."
"Yet Jiren has proven you can't charge in recklessly, either. Goku has to use every trick he has to make a tiny opening in Jiren's defense, then go all out."
"Yeah, and that's if making a tiny opening is even possible."
Suddenly, Goku starts by teleporting behind Jiren, tries to close in, but Jiren immediately fires a Ki Blast at him, forcing Goku to back off. However, while he is backing off, I notice that he is also leaving behind a small landmine-like Ki Blast.
Then Goku dodges a couple more of Ki Blasts before he again teleports in front of Jiren, sneakily leaving behind another small landmine-like Ki Blast before attacking Jiren with a yell.
Jiren casually blocks Goku's attack and tries to retaliate, but Goku again backs off and teleports away before starting to move around again, a behaviour that confuses many of the people who didn't notice the trap he is preparing, the ones commenting the most about it are obviously the Zenos.
"I am curious... What do you think Goku is doing?"
"He keeps moving in close but then runs away again!"
"Could that be a strategy?"
"I wonder, too!"
The previous scene repeats itself many times until Goku is finally satisfied with the number of small landmine-like Ki Blasts he set up all around Jiren, so he quickly backs off one last time and lands on top of a nearby hill-like rubble, breathing heavily while looking at Jiren from above.
Jiren calmly looks back at Goku before he takes a step forward, and as soon as he steps on one of the landmine-like Ki Blasts, it goes off, causing a devastating chain reaction as all of them explode one after the other.
However, Jiren jumps up right as the first mine exploded, appearing in the air above Goku, who doesn't notice it until Vegeta warns him, and then he fires off a massive Destructo Disc Blade at him, which ends up splitting into six separate discs to home in on the foe multiple times.
Jiren seemingly destroys all of them but one, as he simply grabs this last one and throws it back, aiming at the hill-like rubble, slicing it perfectly, causing the upper part of the rubble to fall, sticking out over the edge of the fighting stage.
While the upper part of the rubble was falling, Jiren attacked Goku with a punch, forcing him off from the top of the falling rubble, and then the two landed on the now fallen rubble and started fighting once more with Jiren easily pushing Goku back reaching the part that is now sticking out over the edge of the fighting stage.
Suddenly, Goku attacks with a sliding kick, which makes Jiren vault over him, exchanging their position, then Jiren rushes in, dodges Goku's punch, grabs his extended arm, and lands a heavy punch in Goku's guts that is so powerful that a concentrated shockwave emerges from Goku's back, making the Saiyan gasp in pain.
Then Jiren's fist begins to glow as he revs up for a finishing blow, but the ground beneath him suddenly gives way, making Goku chuckle and mutter, "Heh, heh. Destructo Disc Hexa Blade."
It turns out that Goku has hidden away one of the remaining Destruction Discs and used it to slice up the piece of rubble they were standing on.
Goku then teleports behind Jiren and kicks him down off the edge of the fighting stage before he immediately teleports next to Vegeta, who says, "You fooled him for a moment, but it'll take a lot more than that," which makes Goku calmly agree, "Yeah, you ain't lyin'."
At the same time, the falling Jiren starts to unleash a hint of his true power as a thin red aura envelopes his body and he makes use of the falling pieces of the rubble as steps to jump back onto the fighting stage and then begins walking straight towards Goku, completely unfazed by the Ki landmines he continues to set off.
Goku and Vegeta notice the explosion in the distance, and Vegeta gasps, "Here he comes," which makes Goku comment, "That's the part of the fighting stage where I put down all those energy booby traps."
Then he notices Jiren's path and exclaims, "He's walking straight through them. He's not even trying to avoid those blasts!" which makes Vegeta growl, "Urg! He's a monster."
Once Jiren has walked through all the Ki landmines, he briefly stops just a few dozen meters away from Goku before he quickly rushes in and attacks Goku, easily knocking him around without giving him any chance to retaliate.
After knocking Goku around for a bit more, Jiren powers up, impressing Khai with his intense Ki, "Unbelievable! His energy is so intense!"
Even Belmod says, "I can feel Jiren's power surging higher now. It's been a very long time since I've seen him fight like this."
Then Goku powers himself up and begins trading blows with Jiren once again, but Jiren quickly overwhelms Goku, forcing him back, before he attacks with the same sort of glowing punch he had tried to use earlier, before being interrupted.
The next moment, the concentrated shockwave generated from Jiren's punch blasts through the arena, and although it only grazes Goku's cheek, he reverts from Super Saiyan Blue to his base form from the shock generated by the overwhelming power behind Jiren's simple punch.
Khai and Belmod can tell that Jiren has begun showing a bit of his full power, making them look at each other, snort, and comment.
""Hmpf.""
"Jiren's finally showing a tiny glimmer of his actual power."
Then a shocked Krillin asks, "That was nuts. What kind of technique was that?" which makes Khai explain, "You think that was some sort of special attack, mortal? For the almighty Jiren, that is nothing but an ordinary punch."
At the same time, I hear Goza, who is watching this battle from afar, mutter softly, "Damn... I understand what Father is going through. I still have nightmares of the 'simple' punch that Jayr used to 'kill' me and literally rip apart an entire galaxy reinforced by the Concepts. Sure, compared to that, Jiren's punch seems more like a soft, lovely tap, but still..." Something that makes me grin.
