Chapter 35 - chapter 35

Tris

"It's done, I think," Leo said.

I stopped spelling. They both looked tired. I was controlling myself well, but Leo wasn't in a good position. He kept looking at me like, "Can we both go for a round too?" And I glared at him, "Shut up."

This was the first time I smelled someone else's hormones besides Leo's. It was strong—not stronger than when we do it—but still enough to make someone lose control.

Shit… please ignore it. I shook my head.

Leo finally walked toward me. "We should leave."

"Get out, you morons," Siya said, still resting on Bryan's chest. "I'll heal him, don't worry."

I had already healed him mostly, but there were still some wounds left on his chest and ass.

"You're welcome," Leo said and picked me up in his arms.

"What are you doing? I can walk," I said.

"I don't want you to walk."

He carried me upstairs to our room and placed me on the bed. I opened the book on the table and pretended to read.

"So… when can we do it?" I asked.

"What?" He looked at me confused. I thoughts he gonna barge on me as soon as we entered the room. Why I am disappointed.

"Playing kindergarten?" I smirked.

I was feeling tired from the healing spell.

"Ohhh, you were waiting?" he said as he started removing his clothes.

"I'm just curious," I replied, closing my eyes. The lingering scent of hormones was still bothering me.

"Whenever you feel safe," he said.

Wait… what?!

"I am feeling safe," I looked at him.

He laughed. "Okay, then why are you raising your voice? We can do it whenever you want. I'm always in the mood." walking in underwear.

"Shut up." I put the book back on the table and hid under the duvet.

"Hey," he sat beside me, "I know it's early, but I really love you so much. I want to spend my life with you without wasting a single second." He kissed my head through the duvet. "I've got some meetings to attend. I'll see you at dinner—rest well," he said, and I heard the door open.

Wait, he wasn't wearing any clothes. Did he just walk out in his underwear?

I uncovered my face and looked at the door. He was still standing there, waiting for me to look.

"Gotcha," he smirked.

"Why are you going out like that?" I asked.

"Everyone's used to it, don't worry," he said. "I just wanted to see your face before leaving. Love you." He turned to go.

"Wait… wait, go take a shower," I got out of bed and walked toward the wardrobe. "What are you looking at? Go take a shower," I repeated.

He ran toward the bathroom, and I heard the water turn on.

I placed his clothes on the bed. I didn't want to spend time alone, so I went out to look around.

Downstairs, in the kitchen, Grami was cooking. Outside the packhouse, there was a huge training ground. Some people were sparring, and Jermy was teaching self-defense. I saw a bunch of kids—barely five years old—taking lessons. I wasn't sure about what, but it looked cute.

I wanted to go over to the kids, but Jermy called me. "You shouldn't be out here alone, sir." his hands were blocking me.

Why is he always strict and angry all the time?

"Don't call me 'sir.' And why can't I be alone?" I asked, shrugging.

"I can't tell you, sir. But you're still in danger. You shouldn't be outside the packhouse," Jermy gestured toward the entrance, clearly wanting me to go back inside.

"Jermy, I'm just outside the house. Do you have a problem with me?" I asked, noticing how irritated he seemed around me.

"Yes," he replied, then looked at the group in front of him.

"And… what's that?" I asked.

Suddenly, two men stepped out from the group and grabbed me by both arms, carrying me toward the packhouse. I tried to resist, but they were bigger and stronger than me. I didn't like the treatment. I started to cast a spell. Before my hands could heat up, Leo ran over—still in his underwear—and pushed both men aside. I lost my balance, but he caught me in his arms.

He growled at them, helping me stand. "How dare you touch him?"

I was angry too, but seeing his rage helped me control mine.

"It's okay. I'm fine," I told him.

"I ordered them. Sorry, boss," Jermy said, and the they knelt before him.

"Ooo… epic," slipped from my mouth. Everyone looked at me.

I need to control the situation.

"Stand up," I insisted, but they didn't move. I looked at Leo—he was still furious.

"That's enough, Leo," I turned his face toward me. "Look at me. Everything's okay."

"They need to be punished," he said, sliding his hand over mine. "Stay out of it."

He walked toward the men, passing Jermy. He grabbed them both by the neck and slammed them to the ground.

Jermy ran toward him and jumped on his back, wrapping his arms around Leo's neck. "It was my mistake! I'm the one—punish me instead!"

Leo grabbed Jermy's neck and flipped him to the ground. "I'll rip your throat out too!"

"Stop it, Leo!" I shouted, but he didn't listen. He pinned Jermy and began punching his face repeatedly. The two other men joined in, trying to stop him, but he pushed them away effortlessly.

I had to stop this. I started a spell—it felt like I'd known it all my life. A fire circle formed around Leo and Jermy. The two men were outside the ring and tried to enter, but I stopped them. "Stay back. I'm taking care of it."

I entered the ring. Leo's body radiated heat. I wrapped my arms around him from behind and whispered, "Leave him, or you gonna hurt me too." I kissed his back and heard his heartbeat spike. He growled, but I pulled him out of the circle.

Everyone was watching. So embarrassing. How did he end up so aggressive?

"Room. Now." I pushed him, knowing that he can go back.

He was still angry, but he listened.

"You need to learn some manners. Where are your clothes?" I asked, closing the bedroom door.

"It's okay. No one cares—they're used to it," he pulled me and started kissing on lips aggressively. I wanted him as much as he wanted me.

I can feel bulging down there. I wrapped my Arms around him. His hands were pulling my butts closer to him. Rubbing each other. His scent were all over the place. It's driving me crazy.

I turned my face away to take breathes. "You needed to go somewhere?" I wanted him to stay for an answer.

"Let's finish it fast" He turned my face and started kissing again "I can't concentrate like this anway" He pushed on the bed and removed my pants. He was in hurry.

"I don't like hurrying things"

"Don't jinx it" he Said while throwing his body on me. He just squeezed my thigh and stopped.

"Fuck" he stand up and walked towards shower." I need to leave"

Great! I pulled my pants up, now I need to take shower too. His scent is practically a public hazard—I can't just roam around with it making people lose their minds.

He was out in minutes. In towel, ignoring my gaze on porous. I think I am gonna take longer in shower than usual. I have choice to in now but I rather watch him dressed, water dripping his body gonna make use it later.

He finally got dressed.

His pissed off face making me remember I should be mad at him.

I was still upset about my curfew. "Why can't I go out?" I asked him. While preparing to take shower.

He pulled me close by the waist. "I'm worried you might be attacked—because you're my mate, you know?"

I pushed him. "Shut up. I'm serious."

"I'll let you go, but with bodyguards. Okay?" He smiled.

"I don't need babysitting." I crossed my arms.

"It's not babysitting—it's to make me feel less worried." He was about to leave. "Well… where the hell do you want to go?"

"None of your business," I replied.

"Okay, then. See you." He opened the door.

"Did you find out about the people who attacked me?" I asked.

"Still working on that. Don't worry—I won't let anything happen to you. Bye. Love you," he said and left.
