Wura felt as if her head was about to open itself up and blow up. She could not believe this. She was going through a flurry of emotions, anger, sadness, irritation, a bit of hope that Liam still cared enough about her to send someone to watch her.
But at the same time, she could not help but think that he did not trust her. After all, he had betrayed her, tied her up and not listened to her pleas or cries. She just felt so frustrated right now.
"You will not untie me?" she asked.
"Not at all your majesty, I was given stern orders by his majesty and I would be a fool to disobey them," The man replied.
"Do you not fear me?! I am furious in the moment and I can certainly do something about it if you disobey me!" She shouted.
"I am aware that you surely can my queen, however, I fear his majesty more," The man said bluntly.
Wura groaned, she tried to free herself from the rope tied on her hands, but Liam had tied them tightly. This man clearly was not going to help her. She hated this, she hated feeling caged.
"Please calm down my queen, relax, you will hurt yourself if you continue doing that and I will not be held responsible, that is why I have warned you," The man said.
Wura looked at him and glared, "How can I calm down? How can I? When we are in the middle of a war and he tied me up here like an animal?" she nearly screamed. She did not feel like herself, no, not ever since he arrived. She had been trying her best to get his forgiveness because she knew what she did was wrong.
However, no matter how wrong she was, he should never have tied her up, he should never have lead her on when he surely had ulterior motives and he should not have left her like a coward.
"My queen, no, no, do not say that, you are not tied up like an animal. His majesty would never do that. You are his wife," The man said. He respected Wura and Liam so much. He was nothing but a mere loyal servant and he would do anything required of him.
At the moment, he could see and feel Wura's anger, her sadness and he did not blame here. Such harsh conditions were not for such a loyal, faithful and strong woman like her.
"He treats me more like a child than his wife," Wura looked away and scoffed. It was the truth. It had always been like that from the beginning. She was madly upset at the moment and nothing could calm her down. All she wanted was for to be untied.
She felt more betrayed than anything else right now.
"My queen, that is not true, you know that is not true, he only did this because he cares about you.".
"If he truly cares for me, he would have known better than to tie me up like this," She frowned.
"My queen, the king loves you, you are his prized possession, he wants to protect you and maybe this is the only way he knows how.".
Wura looked at the man and frowned. This felt like a conversation she would have with Nora.
Nora... she had been so focused on Liam that she did not try her best to make Nora forgive her. Nora was so hurt and she knew why, she did not blame her, all she wanted was her forgiveness and nothing more.
"For all we know my queen, had you gone with him to the battlefield, he would have been so focused on you than anything else," He said.
"It does not matter, it does not matter at all. He is so selfish, he does not care what I think. Doing all of this...if something was to happen to him, I would die...". The mere thought alone made her stomach churn. She began to feel the fear return to her.
The fear that made her heart beat faster and her eyes swell with tears.
"My queen, please do not think like that, please do not, we need to remain positive. The best thing we can do for his majesty is to remain positive and pray for the safe return of he and his men," The man said.
He started to see Wura crying, he could hear her sniffing and he did not want her to cry. He did not know how to handle her crying. He wanted to make her feel better, but he could see that it was not working at all.
"Oh my queen..." he sighed.
"What can I do to make you feel better? Please tell me, I will do anything... except untie you," The man maid clear.
Wura sighed with her tears, she sniffed. She did not like to feel this way.
"Do you need anything my queen?" he asked.
Wura nodded as she stopped crying. "A glass of water please," She said.
"Alright my queen, let me get that for you right away!" The man said. He stood to his feet and scurried around the tent looking for a pitcher of water. He found a pitcher of water on a table nearby. He poured some water into a glass and walked to where Wura was tied.
"Can you hold the glass yourself my queen, or should I help you?" he asked.
"I can hold it myself, my fingers are not tied only my arms," She said.
"Alright my queen," He said handing her the glass.
"Thank you," Wura said. She raised her hands to her mouth and drank the water.
The man smiled and turned around. Wura ceased her chance, she purposely let go of the glass and it fell to the ground and shattered with some water still in it.
"Oh no, I do not know what I was thinking... look at the mess I made," Wura said, instantly she bent down in an attempt to pick up the broken pieces beside her feet.
"That is alright my queen, it was an accident, please do not try to clean it up, you will just hurt yourself, let me," The man rushed to her side and began to pick up the pieces of glass.
"Oh, alright, thank you," Wura said, she rested her back in the couch and watched as he cleaned the floor but not before slipping a piece of glass into her hand.
"I am so sorry for making a mess, you were only supposed to watch me, not clean up after me," Wura said.
"There is no need to apologize my queen, it is an honour to serve you in whatever way you need... besides, it was merely an accident," He smiled.
He smiled so happily, Wura almost felt guilty for what she was about to do.
"I will be right back," The man said turning around and leaving in order to discard of the glass pieces.
Wura wasted no time at all. She began to cut through the ropes. She started with her hands and was careful not to cut herself. With a few quick cuts she had freed herself, and then she hastily moved to her feet and cut the ropes that had been tying her there and stood to her feet.
"My queen!" The man called in shock as he returned only to see her loosed. Wura threw the piece of glass away.
"You do not have to worry, you did not untie me, I did it myself, I will make sure to make that clear to Liam when he asks," She said. "Now please move out of my way. I am going to find my husband.".
"What do you mean going to find him? He is on the battlefield my queen, I am sorry, but you are not going anywhere!" The man said. He could not believe how stubborn she was. So she had deliberately the glass so she could have a way to cut her ropes. She truly was stubborn.
"You cannot stop me, no one can, I am going to leave and you will make way for me to pass!" She demanded.
"And I am telling you my queen that is not possible. I cannot allow you go out there!" The man shouted. If shouting would make her listen to him then he would do it.
"You cannot stop me, no one can stop me, so move out of my way for the last time!".
"I am sorry my queen, I will do not such thing!" The man insisted.
Before he could realize what was going on, Wura dashed and pushed him out of her way causing him to fall and leave the exit bare.
"My queen!" The man called, he had not expected that sudden movement of hers.
Wura was about to step out of the tent then she was forced to step back when the person she least expected walked in.
"Mero?!" She called in disbelief.
