Jade awoke with a splitting pain in her head. She glanced around and saw herself in a completely unfamiliar place. She sat under a tree with budding pink flowers and soft grass. In her lap lay a book titled "A guide to taming". She appeared to be in a backyard of sorts with very ornate and delicate decor and landscaping. Not a flower or rock was out of place. The yard itself was a display of wealth, regardless of the huge house that it was attached to.
A familiar voice played in her head.
"I have relayed all the information you need to know about your host body. The task you need to complete is to become a professional dragon tamer. I have also given you information about the soul fragment you need to obtain. I do not believe anything else will be necessary. If you need to you may contact me, but only in an emergency. Other than that, good luck."
Jade had no time to respond to the taciturn farewell before the voice left.
She smiled and relaxed as she went through the new information in her mind.
The body she was currently occupying is an 18-year-old girl named Amalie Vanmore. She is a shy girl with a wealthy background and a loving family. Yet despite having such a fortunate life she felt as if she lived in the shadow of her older sister, Kilah. Kilah is only 2 years older than Amalie but has amazing contributions. She entered the academy, where many new adults go to learn beast taming, and successfully tamed a phoenix. After an already tremendous feat, she then later went to save a group of fellow students after an accident with an escaped beast. Aside from that, she just had amazing grades and was an overall wonderful person. Almost nobody had complaints about her.
Aside from Amalie that is. Amalie and Kilah have had few arguments and in Kilah's point of few they got along very well, Amalie often visited Kilah at the academy and would hang out with her friends if given the chance.
However, Kilah did not know the envy that Amalie felt towards her. Amalie didn't hate her, but she felt that the attention was constantly on her: whether that be from her parents or anyone else around. And unfortunately Amalie herself isn't that talented when it comes to beast taming. She had vast knowledge when it came to theory, she has studied endlessly, but couldn't successfully apply it in real life.
So her grand wish is to tame a dragon, the most dangerous beast of them all. Despite her shy nature, she truly wished to gain admiration from everyone.
