Jade's reactions were obviously disproportionate to her situation. Everything happening was not an everyday occurrence, yet she acted with flippancy.
The robotic voice's tone had yet to change from a monotone drone, yet Jade felt couldn't help but feel as if it was a bit annoyed. As if things weren't going it's way.
"The methods you'll be using aren't complicated, I promise. Simply put, the soul we are searching for has attached itself to a body in each plane and we need to extract it. Similar to the host bodies you'll be using, we need to solve the grievance of the body that my master attaches themselves to."
"So just a lot of revenge?"
"I suppose. Though not everyone's wish is revenge. Some are much more simple."
"Alrighty then. Can we go now?"
"Not quite yet. I need to make a couple more things clear to you."
Jade sighs very exasperatingly.
"Why are you making this so complicated? All I got to do is solve some wishes, right?"
"You need to grasp the gravity of your situation. I may have chosen you because of a trait only you possess, but if need be I can dispose of you."
With her long hair covering her face, Jade's eye's narrowed and her smile widened into a larger smirk. Still in a state of falling that has yet to bother her, she stretched her arms above her head and sighed.
"You're very arrogant. I can't see this being a happy cooperation."
Her daring words were met with stunned silence.
"... let's just start already. The first plane I'll be sending you to with the presence of a soul fragment is far different from your home location. It's a fantasy setting with dangerous people and monsters. You very well might die. I wasn't going to send you here for your first task, but since you're so confident I'm sure you'll be fine."
"Okay. Let's start already."
Before she could say anything else Jade hit the ground.
