Chapter 15 - Chapter 13: The Fierce Deep Blue Giant Tiger

With an audience, the morale of the guards lifted slightly once again.

Thinking of the system's prompt, Lin Ke glanced at the sunlight behind him and shouted to the guards:

"All of you, about face!"

The guards turned around instinctively,

Although this about-turn seemed just passable in Lin Ke's view, to the servants it looked completely synchronized, causing exclamations from that direction.

Even their master's subordinates—those of Viscount Garoce—weren't this orderly!

The guards straightened their chests a little more.

The young men always wanted to showcase themselves in front of girls.

And whether it's their looks or chest, nothing beats displaying bravery and valor.

"I, Lin Ke Azen, future heir of the family... promise this!"

Unfortunately, the current titles are a bit few. In the future, I'll strive for a string of titles and achievements, they sound better that way.

Lin Ke's voice was solemn and serious: "In this battle, whoever can slay the giant tigers, in addition to the previous copper coin reward, I will give them an opportunity in the future!"

Here, Lin Ke paused.

The guards, servants, slaves, including his mother, John, and Knicks, all had their minds captured.

Lin Ke then continued: "An opportunity to become a professional! If two people succeed, I will give both of them the chance to awaken their bloodline!"

Awaken the bloodline! Become a professional!

In Lin Ke's view, this was akin to getting into a prestigious university in his past life, like starting a cheat-filled life.

However, he didn't yet know the conditions for awakening the bloodline or the method to become a professional, so he only mentioned providing a method and opportunity in the future.

After all, if inviting an [Enlightenment Teacher] was exorbitantly expensive, reaching a level that would severely hurt him, it might be better not to invite one.

But even just an opportunity... that was enough!

This was a chance to become a professional!

The guards felt their hearts ignite, gripping their weapons silently.

Becoming a professional would allow them to gain opportunities as pioneers from the kingdom's major nobles; they could become esteemed guests of nobility and even have the potential for great power in the future...

The benefits were endless!

Thus, the guards were invigorated.

But not long after, about a few minutes later, two loud beastly roars came from the jungle.

"Roar!!!!"

"Roar!!!!"

"Prepare!" Lin Ke immediately shouted, his body tense, tightening his grip on his sword again.

As soon as he spoke, two massive blue figures vaguely appeared from the jungle.

They were two blue tigers, with a height over 1.5 meters just standing on all fours, muscular and strong limbs, with two long fangs protruding from their mouths.

They looked extremely ferocious!

"Roar..."

The two giant tigers sniffed the air, then growled deeply at Lin Ke on top of the cart, as their bodies crouched lower, preparing to pounce.

Just the action of lowering their bodies made the young men who had just straightened their chests instinctively take a step back.

This was the natural suppression of predator over prey.

Seeing this, Lin Ke frowned: "Pay attention to the front legs of the giant tigers! When they bend their front legs, they might be preparing to leap! When they jump into the air, aim your swords at their abdomen and mouth!"

Lin Ke could only judge the situation based on certain actions.

After all, he had never fought a tiger in his previous life, he didn't know how to win, and sliding tackles weren't an option.

But he guessed the tigers' weak points were likely their abdomen and face, as with most animals.

Just as the tension on both sides was about to escalate...

Suddenly, one of the tigers arched its chest and let out a tremendous roar: "Roar!!!!!!!"

The roar sounded like thunder exploding.

In an instant, Lin Ke felt dizzy, his body staggering slightly.

A few seconds later, he was startled, quickly shaking his head to clear it a bit.

"Kill!"

"Ah!!"

"Run! Hurry, run!"

At this moment, chaos broke out below; several frail people were rolling on the ground clutching their heads.

Some were swinging their swords wildly at the two tigers but could only leave slight blood marks.

Others surrounded the tigers but were too dumbfounded to move forward.

The servants were crying and shouting, while others were trying to calm the Gula oxen, some of which had been startled by the tiger's roar.

Among them, a guard was attempting to run away, and others showed similar intentions.

Somebody wanted to run!

"Ah!" "How terrifying!" "Go back!" ...

The entire convoy was in chaos, many shaking with fear.

...

This was just the initial contact!

It can't continue like this!

Lin Ke, his dizziness subsiding, steeled his resolve, gritting his teeth.

He jumped directly down wielding his iron sword, jarring his feet upon impact.

Then he caught up to a guard attempting to flee, using all his strength to pierce the throat of the panicked guard with a sword.

This rust-covered sword was still sharp!

"Pfft!!!"

Blood sprayed, and the guard tried to turn around, but his body slowly fell with a "gurgling" sound, blood flowing ceaselessly, with fear still lingering in his eyes.

For a moment, the scene was silent, everyone stunned.

Lin Ke's heart was pounding wildly, his face covered in blood.

Yet he didn't hesitate; pulling out the blood-stained sword, he turned and roared, "Who wants to desert, I will kill them!"

His voice was immature and childish, but it froze everyone in place.

Moreover, not only were the guards dumbfounded, but even the two tigers paused in their tracks.

This human... attacking their own first during a fight?

Lin Ke didn't stay immobile; dragging his iron sword, he strode toward the battlefield: "Group one and two, handle that one, group three, handle this! Hold on until groups one and two finish!"

He pointed at the two tigers, indicating that groups one and two should tackle the one whose roar had disoriented him, while group three should face the one that didn't seem to have any additional extraordinary power.

Three hundred people, bustling on this wide dirt road, moved at Lin Ke's words.

"Move it, George!"

"Trendon, Trendon you fool, get up!"

"Use your swords! Use your swords!"

The group leaders suddenly remembered Lin Ke's words: without fighting, they would be killed by the giant tigers!

Thus, the battlefield shifted quickly again.

Of the three hundred, over a hundred and eighty encircled one giant tiger, leaving more than sixty to handle the other.

"Aim for the tigers' eyes, mouth! And their abdomen! Watch out for their claws and tails!"

Lin Ke returned to the outside of the battlefield, using both hands and feet to climb back atop the ox cart, then thrusting the sword into the cart's rooftop, crossing his hands on the hilt to observe the battlefield.

Three hundred people, viewed as a large number, bearing in mind Lin Ke's previous life's class size was fifty or sixty, sometimes even less.

The three hundred encircled the giant tigers in layers, but those two giant tigers were incredibly formidable.

A swipe from a paw, as big as Lin Ke's body, could send an adult flying, and their pounce speed was extremely fast.

"Damn, so this is what it means to have awakened one's bloodline, possessing the might of a professional..." Lin Ke frowned.

Three hundred people!

Even with thirty people, equipped with sharp blades and armor, fighting two ordinary tigers might not be this tough.

Moreover, that initial roar threw them all off balance.

"Crack!!!"

Just then, one guard managed to slash at one of the giant tigers' tails.

The tiger's tail snapped off, falling to the ground.

"Roar!!!"

The giant tiger suddenly turned its head, swatting at the stunned guard, sending his head flying, leaving a headless corpse spewing blood.

Fortunately, before Lin Ke needed to prompt them, other guards lunged with a flurry of swords, "pfft pfft," piercing or slicing into the tiger's body.

"Roar! Awoo..."

The Deep Blue Giant Tiger let out a painful howl, swung its forepaw, and bowled over three or four layers of guards, darting back into the jungle.

The remaining tiger saw this and leaped away, disappearing quickly.
