Chapter 14 - F**k That Elf - 2

The drow takes a step into the crevice area and looking over her shoulder says, "Sorry about this honey." The dancing lights conjured by the drow move down a separate passageway to their right as they move further inwards ten feet. She spots another dead body in a pocket in the rocks. The drow attempts to drag out the small corpse but gets hurt very badly as a sharp rock falls from above and pierces her shoulder. The drow lets out a yelp of pain. The human heard a crack in the ceiling, heard an echoing crack of stone, and the yell of pain from the drow. The human moves forward and tries to see what happened, he spots a bug that has landed on the drow. "Well then, I see you've met a friend." "Not a friend!" The drow hisses in pain. "Would you like some help or do you have this?" "Get it off me." "Very well." The human walks over and tries to lift it off the drow. The human sprains his back a little. "Well then, ooooo, you're on your own, Heh." "Not without my lights."

The human punches the rock like a bug and hurts his hand more than he hurts the bug. "Ouuuch. What the hell is this thing made of?" "I... Don't... Know." The two of them watch as the creature begins to climb up the wall five feet. The human and drow both attack the creature, the human throwing a rock at it. The drow moves away from the creature that attacked her and moves ten feet into the cavern putting her back to a wall and hiding, then pulls out her shortbow and fires at the creature and misses. The human asks, "Drow what did you do to fuck up?" "I didn't fuck up. I just shot at it, and I missed. My name is Latrayzly." "So Liz. Got it." He steps around the corner and sees the creature easily, then attempts to hit it with a stick but misses and see's the branch barely touches it but does no damage to it. "Hmmm" "This motherfucker has a shell!" the drow says. "This motherfucker is made of gelatin!" the human says as he sees it has no shell anymore. "This has got to be some kind of mutant…. Teeth bone-infused slime." The two come to a rapid consensus that it looks a lot like a leech with one giant red eyeball with a little mouth, having three pinchers like things at the entrance of its mouth and a pinkish body. "That explains the holes in the bodies," the drow says. "Yeah but it doesn't explain why in the nine hells it bit you." the drow thinks for a moment and says, "I think it's because I knelt."

"Hmm. Ughhh." The human attempts to punch it in the eye. "I don't like the way you're looking at me." Delivering a resounding blow to its eyeball, causing it to start bleeding heavily. "I can't tell if it's crying or bleeding," the human says. "I think it's doing both because of how you were to it earlier." the drow retorts. "You know, it could be because it has the nasty taste of you in its mouth." the human says. "Fair point." the drow says. The leech-like creature begins to climb back up another five feet on the wall towards the ceiling, ten feet up on the wall. "Ew." The drow steps ten feet to one side to allow room for the human and causes the lights that went down one corridor to poof away leaving the two of them in the dark for a few moments until the drow casts the light spell again. The human says, "Oh hell" and attempts to bludgeon it with a one-handed quarterstaff strike and another blow from his hand, and lands a solid strike on the creature, making the creature fall to the ground in front of the two of them, just missing the human with its falling attack.

The drow steps up, puts away her bow, pulls her rapier out, and stabs at the creature, running it through like a shish kabob and slicing it open as the drow pulls the rapier out. The Drow begins to wrap the creature's corpse in a hooded cloth to make it easier to drag then turns back to the monk, "Well we have our quarry. Do you want to keep exploring, or should we go ahead and drag this thing back, and uh, fulfill the quest?" "Uhh…. Seeing as how I go where you go. I don't think it matters." The human replied. "Well, I have a few feelings since on a few of these bodies we might find some interesting baubles above." The drow moves her lights to form a small belt on the human while she begins to search the bodies of the lizard things. All she finds is some makeshift cloth, a mining tool, a couple of spears, along with a rotten shield and decaying armor. The monk asks, "What do they appear to be mining?" The drow holds up a translucent green rock. "Whatever this stuff is." They look around and see themselves in a large pocket where everyone appears to be mining this substance. "I wonder if they found the monsters while they were mining." the drow wonders aloud.

The human takes it from the drow, and attempts to try and crush the green rock but thinks it's not crushable. "What are you trying to do?" "Seeing if it's durable if it's worth something. I could probably make… have it crafted into a weapon of use, perhaps gauntlets, a new quarterstaff to be had…. Amazing." ''Well, it could certainly be used for decoration of a quarterstaff. I don't know about maybe a capstone? And the end piece of one?" "You never know what could be knocked at the end of a very thin rod." The drow takes back the stone and also attempts to crush it, making the gem shatter into dust in her hand. The drow places the dust into an empty vial from her poisoner's kit. "Hmmph. It appears my grip is not what it used to be. Pfft." The drow pats the human on his shoulder. "It's fine, it happens to the best of 'em." This causes the human to get annoyed, picking up another rock and attempting to crush this one as well. "Outdone by a woman, just like all men in my culture, outshone by women." The rock the human selects is large enough to be held in two hands and he crushes it. "Ahhhh, So I haven't lost my touch." "Do you feel better now? Are you done yet?" The human starts to wonder if the drow is stronger than him since he got the feeling that the gem was far stronger than this rock.
