CELESTE
I had a weird feeling all over my body since yesterday. It was like a restless energy under my skin. My palms burned. My heartbeat refused to slow down. I could hear sounds more sharply. It was same for every scent. And then there was the pull.
I felt it toward the balcony of the east wing. I didn't need to ask why. Whenever I closed my eyes, I could almost see him, feel his dark eyes on me.
I hadn't left my tower since yesterday. No one had ordered me to do anything. I was supposed to attend to his breakfast. But I dared enough to disobey not only him but also Kyle.
Strangely neither him nor Kyle came to punish me.
Bracing myself, I stepped closer to the window and pulled the curtain aside. He wasn't on the balcony. I tried to look into his room through the windows.
A figure moved inside. Long hair. A woman. I squinted, my heart skipping a beat. I knew that height and the length of her hair. Lyra.
