(Peter: POV)
Rising with the morning sun, I stifled a yawn as I headed to the bathroom to handle my business before heading downstairs to get myself a bowl of Apple Jacks.
Noticing how quiet the house was, which peaked my curiosity.
Since usual May is the first one up.
So doing some investigating I found that both May and Ben where nowhere to be found.
That is until they both walked through the front door, wearing the same clothes as last night.
Seeing them I couldn't help but put a huge smirk on my face. "So, looks like you two had a good night?"
Aunt May and uncle Ben turning towards me when I spoke.
"Oh, good morning Peter." May said. "Um,this isn't what it looks like."
"Sure, sure." I replied. "And the sky isn't blue. And the sun isn't yellow." I mused. "But hey, I'm not shaming either of you. I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves. Power to you. So, how long has it been since you two have done a walk of shame?"
Ben and May both blushing at my question.
Leading me to burst out in laughter.
Getting some much needed pay back over all the times they teased me.
"We're heading to bed." Ben spoke.
Putting an arm around May, after which he began walking up the stairs.
"Okay. But please wait until I leave before you continue what you started last night."
"Shut up!" Ben and May both shouted at me.
Their response depening my laughter.
One I continued even as I went to meet up with Gwen.
Who looked at me curiously when I arrived at our meet up spot.
A local coffee shop.
"What's got you so cherry this morning?"
I leaned in and whispered. "Ben and May did the walk of shame."
"No, really?" Gwen asked.
I nodded in confirmation.
"Wow."
"I know." I replied. "So, ready to meet the Fantastic Four?"
"You know-" Gwen began.
Only to instantly stop talking.
"Gwen, you okay?" I asked.
But she didn't say anything in response.
Instead she gently grabbed my head and turned it to the left.
Where the second after she did I saw Harry and Liz Allen in a rather intimate hug. That soon turned into a soft kiss situation.
"Did you know they were a thing?" Gwen asked me.
"Nope." I replied. "But man, Harry works fast."
On another note it looks like some things, no matter the universe, are just meant to be.
(A/N: Canonically Harry Osborn and Liz Allen ended up together. They're even married in the mainstream comics for those not in the know)
"Like you're one to talk." Gwen retorted.
"Touche." I spoke. "But let's get out of here before they see us. I don't want to put them on the stop. If they want to tell us about their relationship they'll do so when they're good and ready."
"Agreed." Gwen said.
Thus the two of us left the area without either Harry or Liz seeing us.
We then headed straight for the Baxter Building.
Where upon arrival inside we were met by Herbie as usual.
"Hello Peter." He said. Herbie then turned his gaze towards Gwen. "And hello to you as well Ms...?"
"Gwen Stacy." Gwen spoke.
"A genius scientist, just like yours truly, but a bio-nerd through and through. As well as my lovely girlfriend." I said.
Ignoring the punch Gwen gave me in my shoulder.
"You all said I could bring guests along so long as I trust them so here one is."
"Nice to meet you then Ms. Stacy. My name is Herbie." Herbie introduced himself.
"Very nice to meet you Herbie." Gwen said.
Once she did he led the three of us to the elevator and Herbie pressed the button for the top floor.
But as we ascended my Spider-sense suddenly started going off.
Then as soon as the elevator doors opened up I understood why.
In the back of the lab an energy portal was active, bug-like creatures of all shapes and sizes pouring out of it.
Only being held back from escaping the confines of the lab by a powerful force field created by Susan.
Meanwhile Ben and Johnny worked to push the bugs back through the portal, along with Reed.
Who was the first to notice the three of us.
"Herbie, get them out of here now!" He shouted.
In doing so he allowed one of the bugs, whom I'm pretty certain I knew what they were, to slip by him and close in on us.
"No!" Reed shouted.
Gwen getting a look of horror on her face as she bug-like creature slithered closer to us.
Given it resembled a damn centipede.
Faced with all this I didn't even hesitate.
Running forward I jumped and delivered a kick to the bug, sending it flying back into its friends.
Ignoring the stunned looks Reed, Herbie, and Gwen gave me when I did this.
For there would be time for me to answer questions later.
Right now there was a situation to handle.
So with that I slipped out of my normal clothing and suited up fully in my original Spider-Man costume.
Always wearing it in case shit hit the fan.
Like now.
"Peter, you're Spider-Man!" Gwen exclaimed.
"Yep." I replied.
Not looking back at her face, since I didn't want to see her expression right now, and instead charging forward as I delivered a punch to another bug creature.
Before webbing together a few and throwing them back towards the portal.
Having just allowed Reed something breathing room.
The man immediately turning his attention to me.
"I'll answer questions later Reed. Right now there is a more urgent matter to handle." I spoke. "So, cliff notes version of what I just walked into."
"Months ago I discovered a universe composed entire of anti-matter, but where someow intelligent life evolved. So wanting to explore that I've been building a portal to allow us to access that dimension. One which I decided to put through its first test run today. But when I did these bug-like creatures somehow overwhelmed the portals defenses and before I knew it they began swarming us.Having been doing so for the past five minutes." Reed explained.
Taking key note that Reed actually installed defenses on his interdimensional portal before using it.
Even if they didn't work.
Telling me this version of Reed Richards has both high intelligence and high wisdom.
His explanation just now also confirmed what I had been suspecting.
That he and the Fantastic Four had finally stumbled upon the Negative Zone.
Meaning these bug-like creatures are the Arthrosians.
Meaning we need to push them all back through the portal before their damn immortal-seeking leader, who loves playing with his rod, Annihiulus shows up.
Since just thinking of that bastard leads me to remember the Annihilation Wave storylines from the comics.
The shit I'm not even close to being prepared to deal with right now.
"Understood." I replied to Reed. I then turned forward again. "Then let's send these Xenonorph knockoffs back from whence they came."
Launching forward I delivered a punch straight to the chest of a bee-like Arthrosian, sending it barreling backwards.
I then webbed two others and threw them towards the portal.
My attack sending several of the bastards back through it.
"You shall not pass!" I exclaimed.
Delivering a kick to the face of a beetle Arthrosian Ben was wrestling with.
Leading him to finally be able to run wild and charge forward to push back some more of the creatures.
Johnny handling the ones in the sky as he hit them with fire bombs.
Leading them to all like fighter planes that had been damaged.
As these flying Arthrosians did I webbed them and tossed them at the portal.
My relentless throwing keeping the Arthrosians from advancing any further.
Until all of them had been pushed back through the portal.
Once they were Sue generated a force field right over the spatial rift itself.
The Arthrosians trying and failing to break it.
But noticing how Susan was sweating I knew she couldn't keep it up much longer.
So with that I quickly changed my web cartridges to taser webs and fired them at the dimensional portal machine.
My taser webs short-circuiting it.
Thus closing the rift.
When it did I breathed a sigh of relief.
"I'm glad that's over." I said.
"Peter." I heard Gwen speak.
So I turned around and found her standing there. Right with Herbie.
Reed and the others joining us a few seconds later.
Johnny, Sue, and Ben sporting shocked expressions on their faces.
"Wait, Peter is that you?" Johnny asked.
I nodded my head. I then reached up and pulled off my mask.
"Yes, it's me. I am Spider-Man."
"Wait, did you just steal Tony Stark's lines?" Ben asked.
"Yes. Yes I did." I replied shamelessly.
Earning me flat looks from everyone.
What?
If I didn't joke in a situation like this I wouldn't be Spider-Man.
