Chapter 5 - Library

Luna looks at Mr. Grey Well with a dazed expression as being called professional, when she never even holds the weapon before in her hand and brings her to the cloud nine.

"No sir, I come from a humble background." Luna answered in one breath without hesitation as she was eager to talk about everything related to her.

Mr. Grey Well is getting blinded by the shining eyes of Luna, it seems his one remaining right eye is also going to lose all vision because of such intense brightness. He turned his head around to another foolish student holding a giant hammer with all strength as she collapsed on the floor. She couldn't handle the giant hammer anymore, he swiftly ran to her place and held her weapon.

"Little girl, why did you choose a giant hammer as your weapon?" Mr. Grey Well asked the young girl, Her height is just 4 feet 3 inches but she's holding a 7 feet tall giant hammer with her both hands.

Girl look at the Mr. Grey Well figure, her mind went blank as she couldn't come of with right answer in such short when she's shocked and scared and the only reason why she choose giant hammer was because of her favourite bunny girl Windy-Chan in anime as she use giant hammer to smash demons with her weapons. But she can't give such foolish answers to the professor.

"Uhhh... It's because my family has a giant hammer secret martial art technique." The little girl said with a calm and collected voice even though she's shaking in fear inside, her childhood friend looked at her mouth wide open. She knows her friend from a young age. Her friend didn't come from a well known family or has any secret. She also knows about her obsession with Windy-Chan, it would be more right to say she came from a humble background. No...no she's broke, she is literally broke.

"If that's the case... Then you should work hard and you can also choose a different weapon that suits you the best as the academy also provides the best martial technique to all students." Mr. Grey Well said a few words to her before moving to different students.

"Kealyn, when did your family get a secret technique? And why didn't I know about this before?" Kealyn's friend Carol said with a shocked expression as she's waiting to know this answer.

"There's lots of things that you don't know Carol and stop calling me broke in your mind. I'm not broke, I'm just a bit not financially well for while that's all." Kealyn said misty eyes and kicked Carol feet in anger, her financial condition is dragon scale that she doesn't like anyone touched. Even her best friend Carol isn't allowed to even think about this in her mind.

Mr. Grey Well guided a few students who needed help to choose their weapon as they could find the right one for themselves. Two hours later the school ending bell rang out, all the students looked at each other and at the marital hall. They still don't want to leave this place as it's so much fun to spend time here compared to other classes. Grey Well looked at the faces of all the students who looked disappointed as they couldn't spend more time here but sadly he can't change the academy rules.

"Everyone, please remain calm and go outside in the girls and boys queue without causing any chaos or fight." Grey Well said as he looked at the students slowly leaving the martial hall. As one by one all of the 70+ students left the martial hall, he left the hall at last.

Outside Federico is standing with his hands behind his back looking over at the students walking back to their dormitory, "How was your first day at the academy? Unlike your soldiers in the army, these children are more chaotic and don't always follow the order. They will try and will find every possible way to break them cause they all in their rebellious time in youth."

"It was indeed chaotic and it seems some of them are going to be really trouble some to handle as they might accidentally kill themselves and some are over confident and egoist at such age." Grey Well said as he looked at his once comrade in arms, who left behind his past in the frontline to become professor here.

"As if you weren't the same as them, you were a completely narcissist asshole in this same academy in the past." Federico said with a nostalgic look on his face, both him and Grey start to laugh out loud as they remember their past life in Saint Lisanna as how troublesome and big a headache they were to the academy.

"Larissa, can you imagine that Mr. Grey actually praised me for my talent. I still can't believe this." Luna's face is full of smiles and happiness, as she spins and jumps in happiness.

"You already said this thousands of times and that's good but now think of something different cause you are saying the same thing again and again." Larissa with poker face without showing any emotions. She wasn't jealous or anything but she's getting annoyed as hell cause Luna keeps saying something over and over again.

"Larissa, how about we take a walk in the park, it isn't that far from here and we also have nothing to do at this moment." Luna said as she pointed in the direction of the park, it's just a few minutes walk from here with trees, grassland and a small lake. Larissa also wanted to explore all the places of the academy but right now she had planned to visit the Library.

"I wanted to go to the library Luna, I'm thinking about borrowing some books to read at the dormitory." Larissa politely rejects Luna's suggestion, she didn't mean to be rude but she rather not waste her time somewhere lots of students would be present at the moment. And the library is going to be a bit empty for a few days, it's better to take out books that others would later search for first.

"Ummm, that's too boring and nerdy Larissa. How about after we take the book we go to the park, you can read your books under tree shades. While I pluck beautiful flowers to make a tiara for us?" Luna looks at Larissa with puppy eyes to convince her. Larissa avoids her gaze as she walks forward but she knows Luna is still looking with cute puppy eyes at her.

Larissa drops her shoulder as she gives up on the idea of reading in the library. "Okay, but we are only going to spend at most 30 minutes or one hour. After that, we went back to our dormitory."

"Yippee, you are the best Larissa. I'm never wrong about institutions and judgement." Luna said as she joyfully walked with her, the duo soon arrived at the library. Larissa looked around the library but it's already full of students reading books, writing down important notes and theories.

"I guess, we are one whole day late to join the library this time." Luna jokingly said as she looked around the library, while Larissa walked close to the librarian desk. The librarian is an old lady in her 60s with white hair and round glasses. She's wearing teacher dress code black trousers, white button shirt and black blazer.

"I want to borrow "First Eclipse War Of Marrone" and "History Of Human Civilization""

The librarian raised her head to look at the student standing at her desk, "These two books were already borrowed by the other students yesterday and return time is around three weeks for these books. You can look for other books inside the library to check out, but be mindful about this and don't make any noise."

Larissa nodded her head in acknowledgement as she walked disappointedly towards the section of history books. She really wants to read about the first eclipse war, she knows that within one week the whole Island nation of Marrone ceases to exist from this world. The only solo survivor was a girl who managed to tell the horror of the war but since someone already checked out this book yesterday, she can only look for others.

"Details History Of Bessmertny Empire"

"History Of Human Survival"

"History Of Werewolf"

"History Of Saints First Act"

On the bookcase many books were placed, a lot of them something she didn't know about. But she didn't feel attracted to any of them to read till her eyes fell upon "History Of Saints First Act", a book about how all the saints first came out to protect human kind from the werewolf in the past.

Larissa grabbed the book from the bookcase and brought it to the librarian, "I want to borrow this book for 15 days."

"Sure, dear. Give me your student ID card for a moment." The librarian said with a smile as she scanned Larissa's student ID card and registered Larissa's name on the library computer database.

As Larissa walked out of the library Luna caught up to her, "Luna, you didn't borrow any books?"

"Nah, I'm good and I already know a little bit of everything anyway." Luna started humming the melody and both of them went to park, unlike what Larissa thought at first but the park was almost empty. There's only a few students walking around the park and spending time with their friends.

"Larissa, let's go over to the tree over there. It has the best view to look over the academy and garden." Luna holds Larissa's hand as she starts running towards the trees dragging Larissa with her.
