Chapter 16 - 16 project zomboid

Walking through one of the many exits i end up some ways away from the city, so i went back to the city before renting a room for the night and doing the usual training.

In the morning i went into the guild and got myself ranked up since with my [ring of aura suppression] 40 points of my power are hidden so i don't look like i am gaining power way too fast which could invite some cliche trouble like an hidden organisation kidnaping me and trying to brainwash me to become one of their puppets or something along those lines.

The receptionist told me to put my hand on the device and it showed 183 so i could rank up to a C rank adventurer.

Walking around town i started thinking about what to do.

Should i 1: complete project zomboid for rewards and to see what next game will appear.

From my previous rewards for game completion i will probably only get free stat points which is better than leveling up.

2: do adventurer business which would give me exp and a bunch of quests.

3: sign up to a magic school which would give me a lot of knowledge on magic but its quite pricey.

4: go out and explore the world which would be stupid since there are too many dangers that i probably don't know about and i am quite sure that SSS ranks are not the most powerful beings of this world.

'hmm i will probably complete project zomboid but after that i will enter the magic school, as much as i don't like human interaction it will be a good place to get some connections and make "friends". Hmm i should first check when the school opens i don't want to wait an entire school year just because i accidentally came there a few days late that would be way too annoying'

So i walked towards a school registration office (A.n: not a fricking clue what it's actually called) to see when the magic school start and there are also other schools such as: regular school, warrior school, archery school and a few more.

(A.n: i ran out of ideas for what LEGAL schools there could be besides monk school but that wouldn't be a school it would be a monk temple).

Asking one of the receptionist for a paper with the information about the schools and when they start and what you have to do to get in.

After reading the paper the most important information on the magical school is:

1: the school is named the magic academy of surtur.

2. The start of another semester is in 2 month and i have to sign up at least two weeks before the semester starts because that's when the tests are taken.

3. The academy is located 2 days travel by carriege from here.

4. To be accepted into the academy you need to do a few test which consists of math and simple magic(something like mana bolt) to show that you can use magic.

5. If you get accepted you can pick your subjects.

6. Just about anyone can join (if they pass the tests) be it noble or commoner.

7. The school doesn't allow the use of "evil" magic like necromancy, blood magic and ritual magic.

Nodding at this i leave the building and head to the map shop and browse all the maps on the display to imprint them onto my system map and go to the clerk and ask for a map to the academy.

Copying the map to my system i nod and give the guy 1 silver and i left, leaving the clerk looking at me weirdly before shrugging and going back to work.

Walking out of the map shop i walked towards the usual forest 2 hours away and asked the system.

'not sure if i asked this already but how do i "win" project zomboid?'

[To win it you will have to kill 10,000 zombies]

'well that should be quite easy but a bit tedious, and will i get infected by the airborne varient of the virus?'

[You don't have to worry in the least about the virus be it the airborne or fluid borne varient since to fully turn into a zombie you have to die forst which with your insane regeneration and lesser adaptation at worst you will feel weakened for a while]

'I see, open the gate to project zomboid' an portal opened infront of me and i walked into it before momentarily blacking out.

Opening my eyes i see that i am sitting on a bench outside in a crowded city full of regular people.

'so when will the zombie apocalypse start?'

[In 1 hour]

'huh well i can't think of anything to do that would be productive' i thought while walking to a pizza place.

After buying a pizza i went with it outside and climbed walked to the roof of some 6 storey building and sat on the edge eating the pizza while listening to music.

Looking at the timer after eating the pizza it was 5 minutes until the apocalypse started and nothing looked out of the ordinary.

Looking at the street below I decide to wait the remainder of the 5 minutes.

But before i can put on some songs to listen to i get a new notification.

[Challenge 1: kill zombies only with magic]

[Challenge 2: kill the 10,000 zombies in 24 hours]

'if i materialise a sword and kill the zombies with it will i fail the first challenge?'

[No, additional you can attack them physically but you must Finish them off with magic]

After the 5 minutes is up i put on the doom music since that feels appropriate.

Looking around after the timer is up i look around and nothing seems out of the ordinary but i see in the sky a shower of small meteors falling and causing panic but they don't do much damage only making a craters 1 meter deep at mist and they are spaced out about a few kilometres from each other.

'i am sure this did not happen in the game' i thought before running on roofs to the closest meteor that was a few blocks away.
