Chapter 25 - Chapter 25

Lore tossed the round items onto the floor and a huge white flash exploded out. Lore was facing away, and recalled back to his very first Magical Tome, he still didn't know the name of this book but he knew the spells by heart. In the very back of the book; there was a spell demonstrating regenerative and rejuvinative abilities. If others higher standing, versed in magic would be able to tell Lore was casting the spell Greater Restoration. Lore's body shone with golden beams of light and his wounds closed completely. Lore noticed how much mana this spell required and decided to put it on the back burner. He stood up turning to face the creature. The creature finally seemed to gain its bearings and began shrieking; sprinting towards Lore, it's body moved with renewed animosity.

Lore dashed towards the creature, he brought his sword across horizontally, and the air around it sounded like it was cracking. Using the momentum of his large swing, Lore disconnected his two swords and twisted himself like a tornado. His swords clashed against the Wraiths claws, sparks flying across the battlefield.

Once Lore landed he rushed the Wraith, and crashed his right sword along the Wraiths neck. The blade nearly decapitated the monster, and it fell to the floor, gasping for air. Lore shook his swords scattering the blood and then sheathed both of them. He then began roaming around the countryside once more.

Some time passed, and Lore continued to explore and rummage through this ruins; nothing particular happens. As the moon rose and the stars shone for light rather than the sun, Lore made his way back in town.He stopped by the Inn to tell them of his progress and to rest for the night. No cheers or loud jaunts were heard in the Inn that night as everyone looked downtrodden and sullen.

Lore used Flames to mend his torn armor, and then wiped and cleaned his two blades before he got himself in bed. Lore loved the two swords given to him, and he found himself thinking of names. He didn't care if his swords grew famous or nor, he just wanted something to call them. He thought about the different gods known throughout the many different lands and his thoughts fell on the Internian gods of Light and Dark who were twin gods. Which to Lore made sense, they coexisted.. Paveron the Goddess of Light, illuminated the depths of one's mind. Paveroff, demonstrating that with Light comes Dark but doesn't mean anything bad. Darkness can be welcoming or a bottomless pit of despair. Lore decides as he fell into his deep sleep that his twin blades would not only bear the names of the twin Gods, but be his connection to them. it wasn't uncommon for Knights to affiliate with the different God's and as long as they were not evil in nature then no one really cared.

The following day, Lore awoke just like any normal day. His plan was to get closer to the forest and begin his investigation into where the Daemons were coming. He planned to explore up and down the forest and slowly move inward. until he found their camp.

Lore made his way into the forest at the northern most peak of the forest. Thick tall trees, full of dark green bristles. The light of the sun brimmed through, shadows danced like a fire as the wind howled. Morning until noon Lore made his way through the trees, peering for tracks or clues for any hint of where these monster lay their heads. His boots cranked lightly as he made his way, as thr sun went down, Lore's guard rose up like the hackles of a dog. Who knew what lay in wait in the darkness. Lore knew that this was when the monsters would move. This would be his best opportunity to find clue or tracks. He brandished a shortsword as to not get his swords stuck in a tree. He also cast a mid-level reinforcement spell.

Rustling in the forest started up in multiple directions, Lore gouged where they were coming from and prepared for battle. Ghouls and other undead monsters made their way towards Lore. Casting quickly Flame Arrows erupted from his finger tips, and embedded in the monsters. Luckily for Lore undead's are weak against fire. The ghoul seemed uninjured and proceeded to slash and swing at Lore wildly. Lore brought up both swords and blocked the attacks of the ghoul.
