"I'll go first." Lovie said as she raised her hand.
We looked at her and waited for what she would say.
"I like a tall man, Moreno, well-educated, God-fearing citizen, and family-oriented. I easily get attracted when the person has strong faith. Like him." Lovie pointed to Daniel. "That's why I love him so much." She smiled as her eyes fixed on Daniel.
Others teased them, while Axel, Sheena, and I couldn't explain our faces.
"Ewwww!" Axel said with a disgusting reaction.
"Hey! You just don't have a boyfriend. Get one so you will experience the love." Lovie backfired.
"You look like a squid sis." Junior said to Axel.
"Oh! You should have said it to your boyfriend." Axel said while laughing.
"Shut up Axel! If you found uglier than my boyfriend I'll make sure you kneel to me." Junior said.
"Stupid! I will never kneel to you. I will never kneel to my gay friend." Axel said.
We laughed together.
"Guys, don't mind them. We love teasing each other." I smiled and told them.
They just nodded but there was a painted smile on their faces. Maybe they're still happy even if they don't understand why they talked like that.
"It's my turn." Laura said. "I don't care about the looks. As long as he has a sense of humor, he will stay by my side thru ups and downs, support me all the time, God-fearing, he doesn't hurt me physically and emotionally. Lastly, he loves me more than anything." Laura's eyes lit up as she looked at Emmanuel.
"Ahhhh!" We touched on what she said.
"Hey, guys! Take care of our girls. I love those stupid people. Axel and I are their first boyfriends." Junior said as he pointed to my friends' boyfriends.
I smiled because Junior and Axel were protective of us when we were in college even now. They are still our protective gay friends.
"Don't make them cry. I'm going to be a man just to punch your face." Axel said.
It just feels so good to hear those words from my gay friends.
"What are they saying?" Marvin asked me.
"They said, they don't want to see us crying because of boys. And also they warned our boyfriends, I-I mean not our boyfriends but their boyfriends to take good care of them and love them genuinely." I said while smiling.
Marvin just nodded and smiled widely.
"Let us hear... Sheena?" Coleen said.
"She's single too. We have no boyfriend since birth." I whispered to Ivan.
I saw that Ivan was surprised and couldn't believe it.
"Really? I thought she has at least 2 exes and you had 4 exes." Ivan said as he widened his eyes.
I laughed at what he said. Ivan also couldn't stop laughing because of his misconception so we just laughed as if we were in our world.
"Louise, you're such a flirt. Earlier you are with Jacob and now you are laughing with Ivan." Lovie noticed me so she teased me.
"Shhhhh be quiet. Let's hear Sheena." I said while still laughing.
We looked at Sheena to hear what her ideal type is.
"He should be God-fearing, loving, caring, honest, and hardworking and of course he loves me genuinely." Sheena said briefly as she played with the sand.
"That's all?" Yohan asked.
"Yes." Sheena replied while smiling.
I don't know why they fell silent after Sheena spoke. I took another marshmallow and put it on the fire.
"I hope you meet your person, Sheena. Because I asked you before isn't it? Why you don't have a boyfriend? You said you want to finish your study before you can enter into a relationship. Now you're done and you achieved so many things. I hope the Lord will give you the person you ask for. Because you deserve to be happy and you deserve to be loved." I said while staring at the fire.
"How can you find a boyfriend? You have intergalactic standards. So until now, you don't have a boyfriend." Coleen said.
"How can we have a boyfriend if no one is courting us?" I sarcastically said.
"Hey! You fool! Many of our classmates in Grade 11 and 12 liked you. You just didn't like them because you still liked Levie at that time." Laura replied to me.
"I don't want to enter into a relationship where I just forced myself to like that person because I just want to have a boyfriend. And It's okay to have a high standard than to be with a man with no dreams in life." I said while smirking.
"That's enough, Louise. You talk too much." Haye nagged me.
I just laughed at her and took another marshmallow.
"Let's hear, Coleen." Haye pointed to her.
"Of course the number one is, God-fearing, he loves his family, he knows how to cook because I can't cook, hardworking, Moreno, has a sense of humor, well-educated, he loves me genuinely, and last is he can protect me at all cost." Coleen shared it with us.
"Coleen likes Arthur when we were in grade 10. Then they end up together and until now they are still together." I whispered.
I tapped Ivan, Marvin, and Jacob because they were the only ones closest to me. I can't help but tell them that Arthur will be proposing to Coleen tomorrow.
"We have a secret." I looked at the three of them. "Arthur will propose to Coleen tomorrow night."
I saw that the three of them were surprised and even covered their mouths. I just laughed at their reactions, especially to Ivan.
"Shhhh. Tell to your members about it but please talk to them in Korean so Coleen won't understand what you are saying. Got it?" I whispered to the three of them.
They just nodded like a dog so I laughed again.
"Who's next?" I asked as I continued to cook marshmallows.
"Me!" Marie screamed as she pointed to herself.
"Go ahead." Karl said while listening to Yohan and Johan.
"I like the hardworking man, God-fearing, of course, he loves me and my family. That's all and I've found the one." Marie looked at Jake as she showed a funny face.
We laughed at Marie's reaction.
"Marie looks stupid." Lovie said.
"There's something that might happen again later. I feel like there's a big earthquake later in their room." Axel suddenly said.
We burst out laughing and Marvin joined us so we looked at him.
"Did you get it?" Daniel asked him.
"Yeah, she explained it to me." Marvin said while pointing his index finger at me.
My friends looked at me intensely and I looked at them innocently.
"I didn't say anything to Marvin. I just said it was R-18 and then he understood it. You know it was liberated in America. So he's not likely to get it." I said as I looked at the fire just to avoid their stares.
My friends teased me again. I could do nothing but laugh and tease them back as well.
"It's me, it's me." Haye said but she looked irritated again.
"Go ahead, Haye." Lovie said.
"For me, the number one I like to a guy is he loves and accepts me for who I am. God-fearing, hardworking and he knows how to earn money because love will never fill our stomach." Haye stopped because of Marie and Junior's sudden laughter. "And of course he loves my family as well, he respects me, and we should have the same vibes." She continued.
"Haye said that love will never fill our stomach and it's true. We have to be smart to choose our partners." Marie said as she played with Jake's hand.
I was thinking the same.
"Hey, Junior! You're next." Lovie said to Junior.
"My ideal man is intelligent, hardworking, he loves me more than himself, he has a good smell, he's a good kisser." Junior said.
"Is Rayner a good kisser?" Laura asked.
"Of course!" Junior said proudly.
"Give us an example please?" Marie pleaded.
Rayner was about to kiss Junior but Junior was embarrassed so he just bowed. We laughed again because of him.
"Sweet, he always accompanies me wherever I want to go, he's jealous, a little bit pervert and wild, he has biceps with a 6pack abs, he's good at dancing. He has a lot of sweet words and of course, he's rich." He continued.
We laughed out loud because of his ideal type. I don't know if he's joking but it seems he's not.
"I-Is that your ideal type?" Yohan asked as he couldn't believe it.
"Yes, but as Daniel said, we should live in reality so I end up with this underwater creature." Junior pointed to Rayner.
We laughed endlessly because of Junior. He immediately hugged Rayner because of the harshness of what he said.
"You're an idiot, Junior!"
"You stupid!"
"You jackass!"
They cursed Junior and threw sand.
"It's your time, Axel." Marie said while pointing at Axel.
"I like Moreno, tall, has a sense of humor, he should be genuine to his words and actions, respectful, kind and of course has a big dick. Just kidding!" Axel laughed at the last thing he said.
We couldn't even stop laughing because of what he said. I'm already crying because of the ridiculousness of the ideal types of my gay friends.
"How about you, Louise? You're the last." Jacob said as they fell silent and waited for my answer.
I wiped my tears and looked at the sky. I wondered what my ideal type is.
