"Nighttime sweetheart," mom called.
"But mom," I complained, "I can't sleep."
"Try," she suggested.
"Fine," I said, getting off my computer and turning out my light. I walked to my bed and sat down. Tomorrow was school. My first day at my new school. I had only just moved into the area recently, but I wasn't fitting in the best. Nobody around here seemed to like me.
I wish Liz and April were here. I could talk to them. They went with my dad. Well, our dad. I miss talking and playing with April and annoying Liz. They had decided to go with dad to a new house. See the country. My sisters were so excited. They ended up convincing me to stay with mom since her and dad divorced. They promised they'd come and visit me.
Well, I had hoped for a visit, I hadn't so much as got a letter or a call.
That was too much to ask for now that we were all far away from each other. I sighed. I wished I could be happy or as happy as the other kids around me. I wished for tomorrow so that I could make new friends.
