"May I sit down?"
"Sure," I said, not looking up at the small feminine voice.
"My name's Cindy. I'm sorry about the other boy." Cindy apologized.
"It's not your fault he's mean." I spoke. She was nice, and just by talking to her, she reminded me of Liz.
"Hes mean to everyone don't take it personally," Cindy sat beside me, on my right side.
"I don't," I told her. She was my first new friend here.
"Cindy come here!" A male yelled.
"No, you come here!" She yelled back. "Um that's Antonio." She informed me.
"Sounds like you don't like your boyfriend." I joked.
"Oh please," she laughed, "that's not even close." Her laugh was warm and calming.
"So, you like him, but he doesn't like you," I said smiling, I had lifted my head up and was looking at her now. She laughed that warm laugh again. Another girl came over then and the guy, Antonio came with me.
"Where's the jerk? I mean Andy." Cindy corrected herself while laughing. I started to laugh as well.
"Please sit down," I said after a minute of laughter.
"That's mean," the girl defended Andy, she didn't seem happy to do so, however.
"Madison really grow up. You saw him being mean," Antonio said with a giggle.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were sticking up for Cindy because you like her," Madison teased them, sitting beside me, on my left side. Antonio turned red, which kind of made me upset. I curled my hands on the table.
"That makes two," I said, teasing them both as well. "Now we have to put them together." Madison laughed. Cindy got flustered. Antonio went redder than before. He was like a tomato red now.
Antonio sat down across from me and said, "well at least we can all go on a double date." Madison punched him then. Cindy laughed along with Antonio.
"Sorry I'm not interested. So maybe you'll go with Andy and Madison instead." I told them outright. Antonio laughed so hard he was snorting. Cindy was laughing so hard she was about to fall off the seat. The warmth felt nice. I missed my old family. Madison choked on the carrots she got for lunch.
"You two are cuter." Cindy stated with a satisfied smile. Madison turned red like a tomato. I only smiled at the thought of a lover. Cindy and Antonio laughed harder; they had won. For now. I rolled my eyes at them. Then I saw the kid from before, he didn't look happy, and he was heading this way. Oh no.
