CH1263: Family Dinner

The Balogun family dinner was in full attendance.
Not just Korede and his parents—Kola and his family were also present.
The dinner began normally, with the family chatting over mundane topics. That was until Shade suddenly turned to Korede and asked:
"Korede, when are you planning on bringing a girl home for me to see?"
Korede smiled wryly. He'd be lying if he said he didn't see it coming.
"Mom, we've been over this. I'm really busy right now and don't have the time to date. I'll bring a girl home when the time is right."
To his surprise, his mother didn't argue. She just nodded in understanding.
That's when he noticed his brother Kola and his father, Babatunde, focusing unusually hard on their food.
Alarms went off in his head.
"I knew you'd say that. Fortunately for you, I've already taken care of it," Shade said calmly.
"Mom... what did you do?"
"Oh, I just invited Iwatomi to visit—since you were clearly too busy to do so."
