All of Dark's people are in the living room today, except Ryuzaki. That includes Garrete Cortez, Amethyst Wallace, Avery Knox, Elijah Monroe, Luca Martinez, Onyx Greene and Mykell Kai Cromwell.
All of them are pondering what to do now, since Rami will be with them starting today. They can't retort or say anything against it, because Dark has already decided everything.
"What? So we're doing nothing? We're just going to let that stay with us, just like that?" exclaimed Amethyst, full of frustration.
She didn't know exactly what Ryuzaki saw in Rami for him to trust Rami that much.
Yes, Rami rescues him, but Rami's actions by executing it are just so suspicious.
She can't accept the fact that someone who is suspicious and has an unknown background will live with them for no one knows how long.
"There's nothing we can do. The boss has decided. Also, we owe him, so let's just become civil and treat him nice while we observe him to see if he really has that kind of bad intention toward us." Luca finally said his thoughts.
Amethyst didn't say anything more. Luca had a point. She analyzed the situation, weighed the pros and cons, and finally let out a deep sigh in compromise.
"Fine." Amethyst finally nodded.
All of them smiled. This includes Ryuzaki, who had just come down from Rami's room.
They knew Amethyst would understand. That's their girl. She knows what to do and what not to do. She also knows to stop when needed.
"Also, what about the sniper? Any news about him?" Amethyst asked suddenly, not wanting to discuss the previous topic any further.
"My people, we're getting into it." Elijah commented.
"What? You know it's getting pretty late, right?" Mykel frowned at that.
"There's a third party. So we're digging deeper." Elijah answered Mykel.
"Hmm... then you should find that immediately." said Ryuzaki with a streak of anger.
"Yes, yes, don't worry. No matter who it is, we'll make them pay." Reassured Elijah to Ryuzaki.
Meanwhile . . . . .
After Ryuzaki left, the drowsiness that Rami felt had already consumed him. So he slept his tired body out.
After hours of sleep, an opening of a door woke him up—- the door of the room is currently in.
Rami didn't check who opened the door. He just rubbed his eyes using his both hands to ease the soreness within it. After a while of gentle rubbing, he stretched his arm followed by a slightly wide yawn which made his eyes slightly watered.
Just like a cute rabbit.
These gestures of his, make him so cute that whoever sees him now, will surely want to cuddle him and lull him into sleeping again.
"Good evening, did you sleep well?" Avery, who opened the door, asked Rami gently with an amused smile.
"I'm Avery Knox, by the way. I'm sure that you always saw me together with our boss. Just call me Avery, No Miss, Mistress or any of that." She continues.
Avery didn't think that someone under their surveillance was this cute without making an effort.
This slightly lessens her vigilance towards Rami because she loves fluff and cute things.
Rami was startled as a different voice echoed through the room.
His action freezes. After that, he slowly faces the culprit.
Given his status, he knew that Dark had seven trusted subordinates within the school, both inside and outside of it. He had read the profiles he gathered about them—including everything the internet revealed, information coming from someone he paid, and his own gathered investigation.
Occasionally, when he attended school, he saw them from afar, gathering in certain places. He never approached them since his persona didn't give him the "right" to get close. But now, for the first time, one of them is standing in front of him, actually talking to him. He has no idea how to respond.
"Hmm... yeah, I slept well. Thank you." with confused eyes, Rami answered Avery softly. Still his eyes are a little bit watery from the interrupted sleep.
'How cute.' Avery internally squealed while smiling on the outside.
"Okay then. Come on! I'll help you freshen yourself up, then we'll go downstairs to eat." Avery then walked through the bed. She held the left shoulder of Rami. Gently helping him up to help him get up.
"No, no, I can manage." Hearing that, Rami refused her.
As if he'll let Avery help him wash. She's a damned woman. Come on! Also, he doesn't like to be casually touched by others, except his Darkness of course.
His family is also excluded.
"Don't be shy. I'll help you so that you can make it faster." Teases Avery.
She already guesses what Rami is thinking.
"No... please..." Rami opposed adamantly. Shaking his head. He really didn't agree.
"Okay, okay, just be careful. I'll wait for you here." Avery stopped teasing him and agreed.
Rami quickly went to the comfort room to freshen up. After entering the room, he closes it. He locks it instantly in case Avery changes her mind and decides to suddenly barge into the bathroom.
Thinking about that, he shivered with fright.
A few minutes of washing his face, brushing his teeth, and simply tidying himself was done. When he was about to go out, he paused his movements.
"Hey, come on! Come out already. Don't let the food wait on you!" Yelled Avery outside.
After hearing the word food, his tummy growled, making him embarrassed.
'Oh, come on!!' Rami exclaimed silently.
After inhaling deeply, he opened the door.
He shows Avery a timid smile.
Avery smiled widely at him when she saw him.
"Let's go." Avery stood up from the bed. She yanked Rami's arm and gently pulled him through the door.
"I heard your tummy just growl indicating that you're already hungry so let's hurry up. Faster!!" Avery cheerfully said to Rami with her still smiling widely. She seems so amused by him.
Rami didn't answer her. He only unconsciously pouted towards her.
Looks like I'm amusing this missy quite a bit. But I guess that's good—she seems less vigilant around me now.'
The two reached the dining room which was located on the first floor. As soon as they walk through, all eyes are on them.
'Would I really enjoy my food in this kind of atmosphere?' Rami wondered, feeling the awkwardness that filled the room the moment he walked in.
