A week passed by but Rami was still recovering, or should he say 'pretending' of recovering. Though his wound didn't need to be wrapped with gauze.
He didn't have any complaints as the people within this house that he is currently residing in were very nice. Though sometimes they'll act as if they saw nothing when they see him. If not, they'll treat him just like every stranger they interact with regularly. Especially Amethyst and sadly, Dark.
Fortunately, there's Ryuzaki—or Ryu, as he encouraged him to call him that—and Avery. They are kind and attentive, treating him genuinely like a friend. He senses no malice or deceit from them. Because of that, he feels that, despite everything, he will eventually learn to trust and embrace them as true friends.
Rami spent practically all of these days within his room. Just simply, lying there, watching a series on the TV or reading novels on his phone. To change the ambiance a little bit and get some fresh air and unwind, sometimes, he went into the balcony adjacent to his room. Relaxing there as he read.
When he was already bored or getting tired of reading his novels, he asked permission from the people within this house so that he can go to the garden in the back to just roam, daydreaming and admiring the view.
On the other hand, when Ryu or Avery or both of them are within the house and are very available, they merely pull him to get up. They drag him outside to give him a tour from some part of their area that he can visit. That it isn't prohibited. Giving him an overview on how wide their area is.
The entire mountain served as their 'sanctuary' which was fortified with tall and thick walls on all sides to keep off invaders. In addition, Rami was shocked to learn that the woodland which was a part of their sanctuary had a waterfall.
Upon seeing it for the first time, he already fell in love with it because the waterfall is so stunning and so authentic.
You can see the fish swimming around the pool freely since the water is so clean. He also saw some crabs and shrimps freely roaming there. Just by watching them grow so big growing up without care in there enticing him greatly. As a result, he wanted to catch some to cook.
There are exotic plants, flowers, and trees growing all around the area. Sadly, Dark wasn't with them when they visited, but he greatly loved their moments of exploring and occasionally harvesting the fruits their people cultivated nearby and in other places. Still, he would surely be even happier if he were with them.
At the moment, he is currently in the garden. Sitting beneath the large maple tree that is visible on the garden's side. The ground is covered with grass. Just enjoying the breeze and just appreciating the view in front of him.
Rami's stomach growled suddenly, protesting. Upon hearing it, he blushed slightly then rubbed his tummy softly.
'I'm hungry. What to do!'
He ponders if he will ask some of the maid to get him some food or he'll just allow it and not mind it. But his love for food wins so he decides to find some maid or some of the butlers they have. It's just that, he didn't see anything as he entered the door through the living room—not even a single person present.
Pouting because of disappointment, he decided to check the kitchen if there were people there.
Unfortunately, there's none.
'Where the hell are the people in here?'
'Did they simply choose to vanish when I needed them? Come on, what will happen if someone breaks in?' Rami grumbled in silence.
After whining nonstop silently, he sat at the side bottom part of the stairs in silence for a bit to wait for someone that he believed would arrive unexpectedly. Minutes passed until it became an hour, no one came or even appeared.
So he decides to just cook by himself. He didn't give a damn anymore if they told him off for using their things without asking beforehand.
Upon deciding, Rami entered the kitchen.
'Wow, this is huge!' Rami exclaimed as wonder his eyes to take a look around the kitchen.
The kitchen was so wide. Not just that, Rami saw that every cabinet, cap boards and refrigerators was full of ingredients.
After admiring the kitchen, Rami braced himself. With a determined look, he approached the cabinets. He opened them one at a time, scrutinizing what was inside each one with the intention of producing something to satisfy his ravenous stomach. He then moved in the direction of the refrigerator.
Upon checking and assessing what's in the kitchen, he decided to make some Chicken Shawarma, Crispy Cheesy Potato Stack and Mango Smoothie.
Rami brought out the ingredients that he needed. He placed them all on the counter. Preparing to deal with them.
He put all the ingredients that needed to be washed in the sink. He started to wash them all, sliced them into their appropriate slice and arranged the condiments.
Upon finishing all the Mise En Place, he placed the thin slices of potatoes into a big bowl. He soaks it into cold water with ice cubes making it nice and crispy. Later, he let it rest.
Setting aside the potatoes to be ready, Rami started to make the Chicken shawarma. Because he didn't like the ready made Pitas or those different kinds of shawarma wraps out there that you can buy anywhere, he made his own version.
He mixes, kneads and rolls his own Pita. Finishing the wraps, he began to cook the filling.
The aroma gradually breaks out and the smell slowly spreads out within the room. While smelling the aroma, he felt hungrier so he fastened his actions.
He prepares the other veggies he needs to mix in the wrap such as tomato, lettuce and cucumber. He also made his own recipe of shawarma sauces. Both spicy and not.
Finally, finishing and setting the shawarma, Rami drains the potatoes and places them into another dry bowl. He added spices and herbs to it to taste and marinade it for about ten minutes. While waiting, he heated the oven which he will use later and mixed the cream sauce.
Rami stacked the marinated thin potato slices, cheese slices and the home made cream sauce that he made alternatively until it was stacked for about one and a half inches into a baking muffin pans. Then he secured it with a toothpick.
After stacking all of them, he sprinkled them with grated mozzarella cheese, chopped parsleys, chopped chives and a little cream sauce that was left earlier. Then he places it into the pre-heated oven to bake it for about thirty minutes in a high heat.
Rami already wanted to finish cooking because he felt hungrier when he smelled what he was cooking.
Waiting for the Crispy Cheesy Potato Stack to be cooked, Rami began to do his drink.
He gets the mango slices and boxes of whole creams that he chilled in the fridge a while ago together with the crushed ice and places them all into the blender. Then he put in a little bit of sweetened milk, yogurt and fresh milk. He blends it continuously while occasionally mixing them until it is nice and smooth.
When it's done, he poured it into several high ball glasses. He garnished it with a little bit of whip cream and mango slices on top.
With a ting from the oven, Rami's Crispy Cheesy Potato Stack is ready.
Rami arranged all of the dishes that he cooked into the table that was placed in the center of the kitchen. After arranging them quickly, he was so satisfied with what he saw.
'I worked hard for this!' Rami smiled pleasingly.
Excited and can't wait any longer, Rami picked a shawarma and took a big bite immediately.
'I'm glad that my skills didn't degenerate.' Rami thought happily.
Enjoying the taste and chewing non-stop, Rami's cheeks puffed so much. Because he keeps on putting food into his mouth.
While chewing, he unconsciously turned his head towards the door only to be dumbfounded when he saw that Dark, Ryu, Avery, Amethyst and four more lads that he didn't recognize were in the door.
Watching him.
Both Ryu and Avery were grinning towards him. They were very amused because of him.
'What the hell, how long were they in there?' Rami screamed silently. His eyes slightly widen, his mouth full of food 'causing for his cheeks to puffed up and is blushing all over.
Damn!!
