Coming out of the hospital, Vivian Bell grabbed Scarlett Xavier and asked, "How did that guy become your husband? How did you get married without me knowing?"
After all, she was Scarlett's best friend!
"My family introduced him. We thought it was suitable, so we got married."
Scarlett spoke very calmly, as if it was as simple as having a meal.
"Suitable? Look at his attitude, how does that seem suitable? You must be crazy! You didn't marry him without even meeting him, did you?"
"We're going to divorce sooner or later anyway, so what's the point of meeting?" Scarlett chuckled, glancing at Vivian, "He doesn't want to see me, and I don't want to see him either! Best if we never see each other."
"..."
...
In the evening, at the dining table, everyone was present except Yasmine Morgan, who was on a diet and didn't come down to eat.
Since Scarlett and Julian Rhodes got their marriage certificate, the Griffin family didn't hesitate at all and called in the afternoon, sorting everything out.
Now that it was all settled, the atmosphere was much more relaxed, even Uncle Meng had a rare smile on his face.
Scarlett was eating when she suddenly heard Joyce Leighton say, "By the way, the Griffin family called and wants you to visit them tomorrow."
Scarlett choked a bit, looking at Joyce, "What do they want me to do at the Griffin family home?"
She had been happy all afternoon not having to deal with Julian.
Joyce replied, "The Griffin family said they want to meet you."
"..." Scarlett said, "Can I not go?"
Just as she finished speaking, Joyce shot her a look, "How can that be? You've married into the family, you're a part of the Griffin family now, you need to maintain good relations with the family. If you don't go, they'll say I didn't raise you right, not even teaching you basic manners. In the future at the Griffin family, you'll suffer."
Scarlett realized that although she wasn't too serious about it, Joyce had a completely different attitude about this, treating her as a member of the Griffin family.
However, Joyce was right…
Even though Julian wasn't interested in her, they couldn't afford to offend the wealthy patron.
She didn't want to give the Griffin family any leverage against her, especially after they had already gotten the marriage certificate, and then have them make life difficult for her.
She put down the bowl and said, "Got it."
After dinner, leaving the dining room, she went upstairs.
Yasmine's door was ajar, and she was inside on the phone, laughing happily, "I'm telling you, Scarlett married the old man from the Griffin family! She seems quite pleased, thinking she's found some amazing guy. Little does she know this old man is jinxed, a wife-killer, he's already lost several fiancées! I can't stand looking at her; Dad dotes on her every day and doesn't treat me well at all. I wish Scarlett would disappear from this world. Besides putting on a show for Dad, what else can she do?"
Yasmine always disliked her, and behind her back, she loved to gossip to her girlfriends, Scarlett was used to it.
She didn't even bat an eye and went back to her room.

The next morning, Scarlett went to the Griffin family with Joyce Leighton and Kai Morgan.
Back when she was in college, Joyce didn't even care for her, but now she was accompanying her to the Griffin family for a meal. It must be said, the power of money is indeed great.
As soon as they got out of the car, they saw Old Du waiting for them.
Old Du led them inside, and Scarlett saw an elderly man with grey hair sitting on the sofa.
"Old Mr. Griffin." Kai Morgan, upon seeing the elderly gentleman, walked over and shook his hands with both of his, looking somewhat emotional.
Old Mr. Griffin was one of the few celebrities in this city.
