The wind begins to pick up, and Miro starts to panic. Miro yells for Mira, and no answer. He began to sniff, but Miro couldn't smell anything. He walked and walked until he came upon a big tree. Miro sat at the tree and tried yelling for Mira again, but this time he heard something. Miro calls out, "who's there" then Miro starts to get aggressive and gets in a fighting stance with his hair flared up and teeth were showing.
As Miro was getting ready for a fight, the wind stopped blowing, and the area went quiet suddenly; Miro heard the grass rustling behind him. Without thinking, Miro turned quickly, grabbed whoever was behind him, and shoved them into a tree by the throat.
Gasping for air, it tried to say something, but it couldn't. So finally, Miro lets go until he gets smacked in the head with a branch, then Miro blacks out.
Hours have passed, and Miro awoke up with a blur vision. He heard talking but couldn't make out what they were saying. Finally, Miro asked, "what's going on here? Where am I?" The talking stops then Miro's vision was coming back. The two blurs were taking shapes, and finally, he saw two foxes in a small cave.
Miro launched at them in a cage but got yanked back by prickly vines. Then the fox spoke, "why are you in our territory, you fey blood," but Miro didn't know what they were saying. Then the girl fox stepped closer and asked: "answer us or die," so Miro asked, "what the hell is fey blood, and if you don't release me, I will kill you both" with a stern look on Miro's face. One of the foxes looked at him said: "Death will be your salvation fey blood.". Hence, they went into another room, returned with sharp sticks, and walked towards Miro until they intervened. "Wait, he may be different from others" Dra looks at him with discus and replies, "he had you by the throat and almost killed you if I weren't there, you would be dead Axle." the two foxes began to argue on what the should do with Miro.
A half of an hour has passed, and Miro was getting very annoyed by the bickering of the two foxes, so on a sly, Miro tried to escape, but the thorn vines was too tough to cut through with his claws, then he tried biting it, but it made Miro's mouth bleed he tried again but the same results. As Miro was attempting to escape, he didn't notice that Dra and Axle watched him the whole time. Miro looked at them while blood was dripping from his mouth, the foxes looked at Miro with confusion, and then they laughed at Miro. Miro didn't know why they laughed at him but knew he needed to escape from there but didn't know-how. With a roar from Miro, "LET ME OUT," then Dra came up to Miro's cage and poked him with the stick, "you haven't answered our question, fey blood, why are you here in our territory?" While poking Miro with the rod, Dra begins to get impatient, and then she drives Miro too hard it stabs him.
Blood starts dripping, and Miro loses his patients with the foxes. Finally, with all of Miro's might, he slams through the prickly vines and snatches up Axle and holds him behind his neck with his mouth, and runs out of the cave while carrying Axle. As Miro runs with Axle dangling from his mouth, then notices that Axle isn't whining or moving, then Miro drops him on the ground and stares at Axle on the floor. Miro nudged Axle's body, but he didn't move, so Miro got closer and laid his ear on Axle's body.
As Miro has his ear to Axle's body, he hears a thumping noise. Miro lifts his head and looks in the direction where he escapes. "where am I" then Miro remembers that Mira is alone in the woods without food or shelter. Miro began to walk, but a coughing sound came behind him. He looks back; it was Axle curled up in his tail and asleep.
In thought, Miro thinks of ditching the fox, or should he eat him, but Miro doesn't like the fox that much, and he's not hungry, then he hears Axle cough even louder. Miro looks up and sees that the sun is setting and getting dark. Miro looks at Axle and wonders what he should do with him.
Then Miro heard a twig snap, and without warning, something tackled Miro. The assailant was lean but soft with a hard head. Miro didn't know what was going on, but it made Miro angry. Then he heard whimpering; he shook his head and looked down when he saw what tackled him; it was Mira.
She held Miro tightly and said, "I found you," then fainted. Miro was confused and wondered how she found him later. He noticed that Mira was burning up, Miro asked if she was OK, but Mira was fast asleep and shivering. Miro lifts Mira and begins to walk, but stops, then look back and sees Axle still on the ground, coughing and shaking. Miro stood there staring at the fox and then sighed. He walks to Axle, picks him up, carries Mira and Axle, then walks into the night.
