Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: She Seems Different

Then, Aurora Blaine entered the inner hall.

Along the way, she received everyone's gaze, as the recent events spread quickly.

The heiress who had been missing for a month returned, daring to oppose the second miss; she was well, no longer insane!

Half an hour later, Devon Blaine rushed back from the company.

Seeing Aurora, a shadow of malice flashed in his eyes; it was really her.

Indeed, as others said, she seemed to have recovered.

After how they had treated her this time, could she be back for revenge?

Devon sat opposite Aurora, deciding to test the waters.

He feigned concern, "You finally came back. When you suddenly disappeared that day, I sent people to look for you for a long time but couldn't find you; I thought something had happened to you. I've been blaming myself for not taking good care of you. It's wonderful you're back now, and also, is the injury on your head healed?"

Aurora looked indifferent, "Yes, just that I can't clearly remember things from that period. Thank you, Uncle Blaine, for taking care of the Blaine Family."

Devon breathed a sigh of relief, "It's fine, take good care of yourself from now on."

She doesn't remember, heaven helps him!

Devon stood up and instructed the servants, "What are you standing there for? Go tidy up the eldest miss's room."

After giving instructions, Devon called his daughter and wife into a room.

He spoke sternly, "Be careful with your words from now on, do not mention anything from the past. Be polite to her, do you hear me?"

Isabelle Blaine was unwilling, "So what if she's recovered? Mr. Su will annul the engagement with her; she won't return to what she was. What are we afraid of?"

"Yeah, dear, we've got the shares; she's no threat at all," Florence Wallace shared the sentiment.

Devon frowned, "She's recovered. If she lets slip how you treated her, what will others think of us? Just do as I say and be polite to her!"

"Dad, haven't you noticed, that madwoman seems different?" Isabelle's wrist still had red marks.

Devon surely noticed.

The girl's return, her eyes seemed more spirited than before.

After such an experience, change was normal.

Subsequently, Devon instructed all the servants that anyone who mentioned the past would be immediately dismissed!

...

On the third floor, on the open-air balcony.

Aurora watched them bustle about, and who didn't know about Devon's sly nature?

She grew up elsewhere with her grandmother; almost no one knew of her existence in Solara.

Devon was adopted by her grandfather later on; he'd never met her or her grandmother and wouldn't suspect her identity.

If her grandfather were still around, he wouldn't tolerate Devon's arrogance, much less let anyone bully her sister.

Unfortunately, her grandfather passed away a few years ago; she didn't even see him one last time…

Devon probably had ulterior motives all along, just waiting for the right moment to strike!

What they took, she would slowly reclaim.

At the same time, she would change her sister's image as an insane person in others' eyes, reclaiming the highest status!

Aurora dialed a number and said calmly, "Help me find a suitable house nearby, something comfortable to live in."

A low male voice responded, "I've sent you the information about your sister's friends."

"Alright."

After the call ended, Aurora placed her phone back in her pocket. The pocket was shallow, and a small chip slipped out.

Right beside her feet was a trash can, and the chip directly fell into it, making a slight noise.

Aurora didn't notice it. She felt a bit tired after a long day and decided to take a bath.

A few minutes later, a servant came to clean the room and habitually changed the trash bag.
