The morning sun was shining brightly and the cool breeze were swaying the tree leaves gently, the temperature was neither cool nor warm, it was just right. Eun Ae was standing near the bus stop waiting for the bus. She looked exceptionally beautiful today, as today was the day of interview, Soo Aha forced her to apply some make up for good presentation. Her face was as white as milk and the combination of light pink blush looked adorable on her. Today she had also took the pain of wearing contact lenses to make her eyes look big and applied light pink lipstick. Her overall look was completed with a red and pink knee length floral dress which matched today's weather well.
When Eun Ae told Soo Aha about her decision of going to interview, Soo Aha was over moon and stars were shining in her eyes. After that Eun Ae applied for the interview on the company's official website and got the response from them the next day. They gave her an interview number and QR code for the entry in company. This QR code was for one time use for one person.
Now that Eun Ae was finally going for an interview, she was nervous as well as excited. She thought that this was the first step in her way of freedom. She has specially asked for a leave from the university, her department was of computer science while Eun Jung was from art and culture department hence they haven't been in contact these days. Both the department buildings have quite some distance between them, hence Eun Ae wasn't afraid of being discovered by Eun Jung.
Due to the pleasant weather, the road was crowded today as it looked like many peoples have made a plan to spend it outdoor, enjoying it. But the bus stop looked relatively empty, there was just a grandma sitting on the bench while taking a nap by leaning on her walking stick and her grandchild beside her was playing with a yoyo with shining eyes. The kid looked 5-6 years old. When the bus came while honking the horn, the grandma woke up in haste and took the kid with her to the bus. Eun Ae followed them and was behind the kid.
Granny got into the bus but the little kid struggled for climbing the steps. The child was cute and chubby, totally adorable. Eun Ae chuckled while seeing the little guy struggle and helped him climb the steps by lifting him in her arms. The kid was quite and obedient and didn't resist her as a normal five year old would do as if he knew that Eun Ae was helping him with good intentions.
Eun Ae got in the bus with him and found the granny sitting on one person seat (on one side of the bus) and dosing off. Hence Eun Ae took the kid with her and placed him beside her while she sat. The granny was just beside her so Eun Ae thought that she should wake the granny up so that she won't miss her stop. She started shaking her saying
" Grandma!..Grandma!! wake up.." Granny opened her eyes and looked at Eun Ae with confused expression.
Eun Ae "Grandma please tell me at which stop you are going to get off the bus?" said this instead. Eun Ae thought that she will just wake the granny up when her stop arrives. The granny told her the name and continued her dosing. Eun Ae shooked her head and was surprised by the granny's carelessness. That granny didn't even care about her grandchild who was sitting beside her. Eun Ae thought ' Is she careless or forgetful? Maybe forgetful? Anyways the oldies doesn't have strong mental capabilities hence it's normal for them to forget things quickly'. Eun Ae shrugged her current thought and continued focusing her thoughts on her upcoming interview.
The kid was silently playing with his yoyo and seemed to disregard all the things around him. The bus wasn't as crowded as it is on working days. There were very few peoples in the bus.
Eun Ae who was lost in her thoughts only came back to her senses when she noticed that the bus stop that the granny mentioned has arrived and turned her head to wake the granny up but was shocked when she saw the seat that the granny previously occupied was empty!
'Where is the granny?' Eun Ae thought and panicked. She started looking around in the bus but didn't find the granny anywhere. Finally she went to the bus driver and Inquired about the granny. The bus driver wasn't sure but he said that the granny got off the bus two stops earlier. This gave Eun Ae fright as she looked at the kid who also took notice of his grandma missing from her seat. Actually the kid was very brave and understood things quickly but ,kids are kids, they have very fragile mind and they would feel uncomfortable in new surroundings if there is no one known around him so when the kid took notice of the matter he couldn't stop the big round tears dropping from his eyes like broken dam. He stared sobbing loudly when his fear grew, few people looked at him with irritated expression as he was disturbing public peace and then looked at Eun Ae as if it was her fault that the kid was crying.
Eun Ae was distressed and went to the kid to coax him. The boy's face looked red and she felt the urge to hug the kid tightly but restrained herself as she thought that the kid would get a fright. She just caressed his hairs and coaxed him which was a bit effective as the kid stopped crying and started whimpering.
Eun Ae had made up her mind to get off the next stop and then get a taxi to find his granny or at least take him to police station to report him missing. She felt a bit guilty for not paying attention to the grandma. This thing wouldn't have occurred if she did.
It was only when she got off the bus that she realised that she had already reached her destination. The company was few hundred steps away from her. When Eun Ae looked at the company's direction, she realised that she would be late if she doesn't rush now for the interview. But when she looked at the kid's innocent hopeful and expectant eyes, her heart fell in dilemma. What would she choose to do? Should she find the kid's granny first or rush to the interview? If she did former she would lose chance of being the makeup artist of her bias but if she choose the later, it would have an impact on the kid's mind and he would lose the trust on humanity. It was really a difficult decision in Eun Ae's life.
