MC .POV.
Its been a few days since my 'graduation' and I've just been living leisurely, my siblings have all gone off to do their own thing and I'm prepared to leave the dungeon except mother says I can't yet, and I needed to wait until after mating season, I won't be participating after all I'm still human at heart.
Foxes mate quite often by the looks of it and I understand why, at the gathering the other day I noticed there really aren't many foxes in this huge dungeon and even the females with their kits only had one or two kits and some don't have any, looks like foxes have a low survival rate here and mother being able to have six of us and keep us alive until we are adults is incredible.
Anyways I'm going to have to wait for four weeks at lest until I can leave.
*sigh*"im so bored"
"Yeah, I can't wait to leave this place"
"Agreed"
My friends the snake and weasel are also looking forwards to exploring outside of the dungeon, I can't wait.
~four weeks later~
It is time, a yowl could be heard all through out the dungeon signaling the start of the mating season and every fox started moving towards the setting place, the same place we had the graduation and much like the graduation every one separated into groups except this time it was only two groups, male and female, there were visibly less males than there were females I guess its a genetic thing.
I walked out into the clearing and headed over to the male side, they weren't very welcoming at first but when I lowered my ears expressing I wasn't interested in mating they completely ignored me, it was interesting to watch the males fight for the attention of females, fur and blood went every where now I'm glad I didn't participate but my friends were edging me on to try for a mate, I shook my head and said I don't want one after all I'm not into bestiality.
They looked confused they who had been born and raised here count understand why I didn't want offspring, I doesn't bother me I'll just sit at the back and watch the males fight.
on another note calling my friends snake and weasel was sort of annoying so we all decided to call each other by our colours, we now call snake blue and weasel white I said they should call me orange but they argued that every fox is orange so we ended up agreeing on red because I'm the only fox with red highlights on my snout, we decided this while the fights were going on since we had a lot of time on our paws.
But then the gross part started, females started mixing in with the males choosing the most impressive males to mate with, it was super uncomfortable when I saw m mother and sisters selecting a mate at that point I turned away, it wasn't long after when it all ended and every fox went home, mentally scarred I hobbled home to a tree hollow I was staying in to find a owl like bird sleeping in it I assent so mean to push it out and I wasn't hungry so I'm not going to eat it, I climbed in and sat beside it the hollow was large enough for all four of us.
We awoke to a screech sounds like the owl wasn't to happy waking up to three predators sleeping silently beside it so I got up and crawled down the tree blue and white with me because they are always and all three of us headed on one direction, the exit.
Mating season is over now well it was more like mating day but never mind that its over now and I have no reason to stay here anymore so its finally time to leave the dungeon!
"Are you sure about this?"
Blue was exited but also wary unlike me he had no idea what to expect outside the dungeon this place is all he's ever known I imagine white is thinking the same.
"I'm sure"
A smile was back on my face as I picked up my pace and started running, it took a while before I reached the exit this dungeon is huge, I found the exit while exploring a while back and memorised the location, I ran and ran straight at the exit but was stopped by two large wooden doors.
