Chapter 490 - CH.470: Twin Princesses.

( Yuuki's POV )

The people of Astrasia were celebrating as if the order had already been defeated, but when someone saw their princess Chrodechild walking through the city streets, they began to point at her with some disbelief.

Yuuki: You should talk to your people, give a speech or something.

Chrodechild: Is that really the most important thing right now?

Guntram: I think that's for the best. People need to hear from you, Princess.

Chrodechild: Very well, but you two will come with me.

We moved to a nearby square and people gathered around us, leaving an empty circle of space between us, I made a small movement of my hand and the earth rose up beneath us to create a platform.

Guntram: People of Astrasia, I share your joy and also your frustration at the oppression of the order, but with the princess and her reliable allies we finally have hope.

After being hype by Guntram, Chrodechild stepped forward and spoke to her people.

Chrodechild: First, I must say I'm sorry for making you wait, but do not fear and rejoice because today will be the last day that the order will defile our lands; they will all fall by my sword!

Chrodechild raised her sword theatrically to the sky, and the people of Astrasia responded with even louder shouts, shouts that were surely sending fear to what remained of the order.

Now it was my turn to say something. I stepped forward, and a bit of my power and aura spread throughout the city, the place fell silent, and everyone turned their attention to me.

Yuuki: The teachings of the order do nothing but contaminate the mind, spirit, and will of the people, your second princess fell victim to their soulless tactics, but she too will be free today, let the order hear that spirit they could not break, let them fear you and let them know that they will take nothing more from you!

Upon hearing my words, the people of Astrasia erupted in enthusiasm; their shouts now almost made the city rumble. Now, fear was definitely creeping into the order.

After that speech we marched towards the castle. Chrodechild kept stealing glances at me along the way, and she seemed to want to say something, but she didn't; the mission took priority, I suppose.

The forces of the order were even more incapable now, and our invasion of the castle was without any delay or hurdle, all that remained was to enter the throne room, but our entry into that place was more peaceful.

Only Chrodechild and I entered; our footsteps echoed throughout the room, and we found Fredegund sitting on the throne, her sword in hand and a confidence that said she could not possibly lose.

The man in charge of corrupting Fredegund's mind was standing beside her, trying to maintain the same composure as Fredegund, but he could barely control his trembling body, and it seemed all he wanted to do was run.

Chrodechild: She really is using the Divine Edge.

Yuuki: Okay, we've already made plans for this, you go for it, tigress.

I patted Chrodechild on the back and at the same time I used Ki Burst to ignite Chrodechild's own Ki, and with that small boost she went to face her sister.

Fredegund: Dear sister, I thought our reunion would be more emotional, but what could I expect from someone who abandoned me when I needed her most?

Chrodechild: I didn't abandon you, there's nothing I care about more than my little sister, that's why I'm going to take you back along with our kingdom.

Fredegund looked at Chrodechild with cold eyes and a hint of contempt. When she called Chrodechild "dear sister," it was sarcasm, but it also carried a touch of the real Fredegund's love, and that real Fredegund also reacted to Chrodechild's words; her head began to ache, and the fragile control of the order began to break down.

Beardsley: How dare you! It was the Order that took in Princess Fredegund, you have no right-

The weasel next to Fredegund immediately jumped in to try to reinforce the brainwashing of the order, but I focused my pressure on that guy to shut him up immediately.

Yuuki: you were there for her? You have her locked up in the castle so that the people of Astrasia wouldn't oppose you, always using dirty tricks, but you underestimated the will of the people again.

Fredegund: Urgh that voice? Jester, so you were the enemy... I should have known.

Yuuki: I will never be your enemy, Princess. It is my mission and duty to put a smile on your face, and that will not happen under orders.

Fredegund's head ached again; the order's beliefs were crumbling rapidly, but almost as if a defense mechanism had been activated, Fredegund shut herself off from us and was guided by fury.

Fredegund: Enough! you don't know me, I don't need you, I wield the divine edge, you never achieved that, isn't it true, dear sister.

Fredegund swung the sword she cherished so much, and it released a powerful wave of energy that went straight towards Chrodechild, but I had given her a special bracelet that was in sync with the sword's energy, which caused the attack to be deflected.

Yuuki: This is the final step, don't waver.

Chrodechild: I know that.

Fredegund was surprised that her attack had no effect, but with Chrodechild quickly approaching, she had no room for distractions.

The two girls went to each other depending only on sword skills and something interesting happened when their swords clashed, In a power struggle with both swords locked, Chrodechild's sword, although of good quality, was no match for Fredegund's sword, and it should have broken under the pressure, but instead, Chrodechild's sword was covered by a light.

The two girls moved away, and when the light dissipated, what remained in Chrodechild's hands was a replica of the Duvine Edge—not an exact replica, Chrodechild's sword had different colors but equal power.

The two girls had no idea what had happened, but they resumed their battle anyway; at first, they were evenly matched, It was clear the two had practiced together since they were children and they knew what move the other was going to use, But then Chrodechild showed what she had learned outside of Astrasia and she began to dominate the battle.

The little cockroach that was trembling next to the throne realized how things were going to end and tried to escape, I couldn't allow that, so with a swift movement I grabbed the guy by the neck and pushed him against the wall; his feet couldn't touch the ground.

Yuuki: What happened to being Fredegund's saviors? It doesn't seem like you care much about her.
