( Yuuki's POV )
When I had the guy who was brainwashing Fredegund by the neck, I pulled my fist back and put on a look of disinterest, as if I were about to squash an insect, Of course, that sent Fredegund's handler into complete panic mode.
Beardsley: N-no please have mercy, I-I don't want to die.
Yuuki: Why not? Wasn't this already predetermined? Shouldn't you be happy that I'm ending you here?
Beardsley: Please, I'll do anything, I, I want to live.
I looked at the guy who was completely terrified of me for a moment, I held his life in my hands and my expression wasn't showing any concern, yet I still decided to let him go.
While Beardsley was catching his breath, I took a sword from my storage and threw it in front of him.
Yuuki: Never show your face in Astrasia or in front of me again; I won't be so forgiving next time, now go back home on your own two feet or die in a ditch as your predetermined fate dictates.
I snapped my fingers and teleported Beardsley out of the castle, into an area controlled by enemies of the order, so he had a long way to go.
After dealing with that guy, I turned my attention back to the sisters, with each passing moment, it became clearer that Chrodechild was going to emerge victorious, and Fredegund grew increasingly desperate, she swung her sword erratically and at one point she dropped her sword to the ground and fell to her knees.
Fredegund: Why, why can't I beat you? This, this isn't how things were supposed to go.
Chrodechild: Why would things go any other way? You weren't fighting with your heart in it, you really didn't want to hurt me, You cannot win if your will is not in it, no matter what lie the order told you.
Fredegund: no no no, I can't lose, I-I don't want to be alone.
Chrodechild sheathed her sword and walked slowly towards her sister, trying to appear as non-hostile as possible. She crouched in front of her sister and extended a hand towards her.
Chrodechild: I already told you, I will not leave you alone, ever again, I will be here for you, my sister.
Chrodechild's words finally reached her sister; the order's control had been broken, and tears began to flow from Fredegund's eyes.
Fredegund: sister, my dear sister, wahh my dear sister.
Fredegund hugged her sister tightly and she poured out all her pain on her; with this our mission was complete.
/////////////////////
Having successfully retaken the land of Astrasia, we divided our forces into three; some returned to Alba Castle to defend the main base, Others were positioned to anticipate attempts by the order to retake the city, and others, myself included, remained in Astrasia.
Another gate had to be built for quick travel between the two castles. I made the call to Matsu and when she answered she seemed a little more excited than usual.
Matsu: [ hey hey Yu-tan~ Listen to this, Lisanna and the others just informed me, they found the lead on the puppeteer you were looking for. ]
Yuuki: Seriously? What did they find?
Matsu: [ They didn't give many details, only that you needed to go there soon. You're not very busy right now, are you? ]
Yuuki: You know my schedule is empty right now, tell Lisanna I'll be on my way soon, I just need you to send materials for a second Gate.
Matsu: ok will do~
Matabei needed to hear this news, so I went to find her. I moved around the castle randomly, there were still no workers at the castle I could ask where the people were, and in my search I found, the twin princesses, Guntram, and the rest of the Blades were in the middle of a conversation; it wasn't an official conversation, and I didn't want to interfere.
Yuuki: oh I'm sorry, don't mind me, I'll be on my way.
Chrodechild: No, Yuuki, if you need anything, please say so.
Yuuki: I was just looking for Matabei, I have something to tell her.
I saw that Fredegund was now wearing the Blades of the Night uniform and I couldn't help but comment.
Yuuki: Hey princess, you look good in those colors, much better than white.
Fredegund: Thank you, my sister told me that you played a big part in me wearing these clothes again, I don't think I'm worthy of wearing these garments yet, but I must thank you for everything you did, my jester.
Yuuki: Pfft, I didn't do much. Chrodechild was the one who saved you in the end.
The blades who didn't know why she called me that way were surprised, thinking their princess was insulting me.
Meruvis: Lady Fredegund, I don't think that's the best way to address Mr. Yuuki.
Fredegund: um? I wasn't insulting him, that's just how he appeared in front of me for the first time.
Yuuki: I don't mind you calling me that, I can be a bit of a jester sometimes.
Fredegund seemed to want to talk more, but when I saw Matabei walking down the halls, I had to excuse myself and went to talk to her.
When I spoke to Matabei, I told her directly that we had a lead on the one who had captured her friend, and she immediately became hopeful, She said she would accompany me to follow that lead, I knew she was going to say that so I told her to be ready to go.
I also spoke with Jubei and my Sekirei; they would also be coming with me, which means we would be leaving this world completely, but only for a short time, and the people here
had a way to contact us, so surely nothing too terrible would happen while we were out of the world.
The Gate didn't take long to build, and the divided teams met at the Astrasia Castle to say goodbye to us.
Chrodechild: Please have a safe trip.
Seig: We'll be fine on this side, so focus on your mission and come back soon.
Yuuki: Don't even worry, we'll be back before you know it.
Of course, unless we have another accident on the portal transport, but what are the chances of that happening twice in such a short time?
I was the first to cross the Gate, confident that everything would be alright, what I saw on the other side of the gate was an unfamiliar room, but a familiar face was waiting for me; that was the lovely Lisanna.
Lisanna: Hey, you finally came, Yuuki.
Successful trip, I was inside the guild the girls created as a front for our operations.
