I'd mentioned a long time ago that the early form of blogs existed since the beginning of the 90s, then continued to develop on and off until the late 90s when a more complete form started to emerge. However, due to various issues, such as imperfections, the popularity of personal websites, or suppression by news websites, among others, the prospects of blogs were not very good. Although Britney's opening of a blog attracted some attention, the focus was basically on Britney rather than the blogs themselves.
This situation continued until 9/11. Although Adrian had CNN prepare for an emergency situation in case the twin towers collapsed, he couldn't be too explicit—we couldn't say for sure that the towers would fall, could we? Plus, the emergency plan was prepared hastily; naturally, it wasn't as rigorous as usual. So when the buildings collapsed, and the signal relay station was destroyed, they, like other TV stations, had their broadcast interrupted.
