"Moulin Rouge" had been delayed. Adrian had initially planned to release it a bit before Christmas, but the problem was that the high-grossing films of AC Media were all scheduled around that time and were performing extremely well. Not to mention "X-Men," "The Lord of the Rings," and "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," even the art films like "Chocolat" and "A Beautiful Mind" that required a long theatrical run were doing quite well, not to mention "Ocean's Eleven," "Training Day," and "Bridget Jones's Diary," which were quite different in style but commercially valuable.
Rachel starred in "Bridget Jones's Diary," which premiered before "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone." The premiere wasn't grand, but Adrian attended and, of course, couldn't resist cornering Rachel for a bit of forceful flirting.
