Ivy Keats is just a little girl who grew up liking to hang around Ethan Laurent. She's straightforward, genuine, and acts boldly. She hasn't even stepped into the adult world yet, and her biggest wish on her seventeenth birthday is to someday pin down Ethan Laurent and make him hers alone!
She really tried to do that last night too. The hotel room was all set up, and she was just one step away from success, but instead, something unexpected happened. Ivy never saw this coming.
Ethan Laurent had actually already guessed from the moment the reporters swarmed in this morning that Ivy was definitely involved somehow.
This was also why he kissed Summer Ford in front of so many reporters—to make Ivy give up voluntarily.
Ivy is the daughter of one of the Laurent Family's close friends, and to Ethan Laurent, she's just a little sister, a kid.
"You, you..." Ivy was deeply hurt and stared at him with red eyes for a while. But she couldn't find anything to blame him for, so she pushed him away and ran out of the Laurent Family's house.
It broke her heart!
...
Summer Ford didn't leave school for two whole weeks after returning.
During that period, Ronan Ford called several times, trying every possible way to get her to go out, but Summer Ford refused all his attempts.
Who knew Ronan would be so persistent, even showing up at school several times.
His determination to not give up until he got her was something that even her roommate, Annie, who lived with Summer Ford, couldn't stand.
"I say, Summer, I think you should marry a man sooner rather than later! Find someone more influential than the Ford Family, so you won't have to work so hard on your studies, have someone to support you financially, and won't have to worry about choosing a job afterward. Most importantly, you won't have to worry about that jerk pestering you every day and not letting go," Annie advised her convincingly, leaning her arm on Summer's shoulder.
Summer Ford gave her a sidelong glance and replied in line with her joke, "A man? Why don't you transform into one?"
"Okay, what type do you want? Mark or Takeshi Kaneshiro?" Annie kept teasing her with a playful arch of her eyebrows.
"Stop messing around!" Summer Ford pushed her away with a look of disdain, then turned and went to the bathroom to change clothes while carrying her clothes.
Marry someone?
She didn't even have a boyfriend, so where was she supposed to find a man to marry?
"I'm serious, it's really a good solution! Won't you at least consider it?" Annie caught up with her in a few steps, trying to squeeze in to continue her advice, but was blocked by the door that bounced back in her face.
Rubbing her sore nose, Annie sulkily walked away. As she turned, she came back to add, "You really don't have any other options now!"
Summer Ford, who was changing clothes in the bathroom, paused her movements, slowly putting her clothes on and appearing slightly dazed.
Actually, even though Annie's suggestion was not serious, given the current situation, she wasn't wrong.
At the moment, marrying someone really seemed like her best option!
After changing clothes in the bathroom, when she walked out again, Annie was still noisily insisting she should get married soon, even bringing out a "catalog" to help her pick a match.
"Summer, come here! How about this one? He's a high school classmate of mine; I could help set you up on a date?"
"And this one, he's not bad either. He's a relative of mine, and I have a pretty good relationship with him, so I could introduce you two."
"This one works too! He's a third-generation red, with a very good family background!"
