"Starting today," Mr. Aizawa announced, facing the class with his usual tired expression, "you'll all be working at a cosplay café for the remainder of your time at U.A."
"WHAT?!"
The class erupted in confusion. Shocked and bewildered, no one understood why they had to get part-time jobs when they were training to be heroes.
Sarah stood up in a panic. "Mr. Aizawa, why are we working at a café?"
Without turning around, Aizawa replied coolly, "Well, Miss Sarah, your mission is to help raise money to cover your food and housing costs. That's on you now."
Sarah sat down slowly, speechless. The room went quiet as students glanced around at each other, hoping someone else would speak up. Ochako nudged Iida and gave him a pointed look. After a moment, he caught on, adjusted his glasses, and raised his hand.
When he wasn't acknowledged, Iida shot up from his seat. "Sir! I was under the impression the school covered our living expenses!"
Aizawa sighed. "The school provides housing, but upkeep is your responsibility. This is part of your training in responsibility and teamwork. Now that that's cleared up, I'll post the work schedule tomorrow. Your performance will determine how often your name appears. The café is called Belles Roses Café. Now—back to class."
The Next Day
Everyone rushed to the board to see the schedule. Iida stood right in front of me, blocking my view. From his grumbling, I gathered he didn't make the list.
Finally, I found my name.
Sarah. First day shift. Grouped with…
"Oh no," I muttered. "Bakugou. And Todoroki?! Seriously?!"
Two of the most intense guys in the class—and they barely got along with each other, let alone others. Why me?!
Later That Day
After class, Mr. Aizawa sent me, Bakugou, and Todoroki to the café for costume fittings. The walk was silent and tense. I tried to make small talk, but both of them shot me a glare that clearly said: Don't.
The café was charming, all soft lighting and floral decor. One by one, we changed into our uniforms. The guys finished first, and honestly—they looked great.
Then it was my turn.
When I stepped out in my outfit, I hesitantly asked, "So… what do you think?"
They froze. I blushed hard, suddenly very aware of their silence—until the café owner, Mrs. Rose, stepped in with a smile. "You all look absolutely wonderful. You're going to make a great team."
That Even
We headed home, and just before I reached my room, Bakugou surprised me.
"Hey. Can I talk to you? Alone.
I blinked, stunned. "Uh… sure?"He told me to meet him on the roof of the dorms at six.
Hours later, when most students had gone to their rooms, I quietly made my way upstairs. The door creaked open to reveal Bakugou standing in the moonlight.
He looked… amazing.
I smiled nervously. "So, this is your secret spot, huh?He chuckled softly. "Yeah. It calms me. Honestly, seeing you in that maid outfit today… kinda took my breath away.
I felt my face flush.
Then he turned to me, serious now. "I wanted you to know… I like you. And I want to know—do you like me too?"
