[Grandora City, Medical City Area]
It was quite a shock towards Diez, after all he had only been fighting against armed soldiers all this time, so he never expected that there are agents stationed on this place considering that there are places that need far greater help than this place.
However despite that surprise, he was quite happy. After all he can finally fight against an agent. Truth be told he had become bored fighting agaisnt ordinary soldiers, so the surprise he received when Richard showed up really excited him.
"I'm right aren't I? Your no patient, your an agent"
With nothing to lose anymore Richard simply loaded both of his gun with his mana, as he quickly enveloped both of them with his own mana before charging towards Diez. At this moment upon seeing how Diez move when being fired with attacks from afar, Richard decided that the only way he can stand a chance agaisnt such an enemy was by engaging a close combat against him.
Even though Diez sycthe looks dangerous and menacing, there was actually a dead spot whenever he tries to wield his sycthe. A dead spot is the area of movement where a sycthe or any pole user have when they do efficient movement with their weapon.
This deadspot is an area where no attacks from such long weapon could ever reach and the most risky position to wield a type of long weapon. Often times this is where the body of the wielder resides or the gap between the blade and the wielder. As long as Richard stays inside the dead spot, Diez sycthe would never be able to catch him. That is unless the wielder is insane enough to hurt himself in order to kill the enemy.
Unfortunately that is easier said than done. Not only such move is a risky thing for the pole user, but it is also dangerous for anyone that tries to exploit this gap. After all when someone do this, they often times get themselves pinned between a blade on the back and the enemy on front. It is a double edge strategy.
But despite that Richard was confident enough to pill off this stunt succesfully.
With a gun in hand, Richard dodged all of Diez swings as he finally entered the dead spot between the sycthe and Diez. However Diez simply smiled when he saw Richard do this, after all he had seen such strategy so many times before and this was not his first rodeo with such strategy, so he already knows what to do when faced with such situation.
Without hesitation, Diez pulled his sycthe towards him, causing Richard to immediately take notice of the situation and dodged the incoming blade from behind.
After that Richard flipped over Diez when the latter did a follow up slash. Pointing his gun at Diez, he then open fired, only for his attack to miss when Diez suddenly tilted his head to the side and quickly countering back towards him.
But Richard saw this from a mile away as he quickly crouched down, before he pushed his swinging arm away and aimed his gun towards Diez chin. But despite that Diez quickly swatted his gun to the side when he fired of a shot, as he suddenly noticed that Richard had quickly followed up an attack when his hand got slapped away. With a double kick, Diez was blown away as he crashed unto the wall once more.
But the moment Diez crashed, he then actually instantly jumped back in as swung his sycthe upward that Richard barely blocked by his weapon.
"Gahahaha! Your good! Show me more what you can do" Exclaimed by Diez
"Tsk!"
Clicking his tongue, Richard aimed his gun once more, only for Diez to suddenly smacked his hand upward to miss his shot once more, as he grabbed Richard by the neck and throw him above shoulder.
After that he then raised his sycthe to kill Richard, only for him to realize that Richard's gun is aiming at him, causing him to barely react and dodge the attack by a hairs breath.
From there Richard rolled over as he tackled Diez, only to get thrown to the rooftops door by Diez with one hand.
"How many times have you missed already? You can't hit me with your flimsy shots, so give up now"
Hearing that Richard then grits his teeth as he charged forward and used the blade on his gun to swing it towards Diez. However his attack was easily blocked by the enemy, before he swung his sycthe at him.
Surpringly this time Richard instantly circled Diez causing him to miss and be open to any attack from behind. With a click a huge blast came out from Richard's gun as a pillar of light enveloped Diez that immediately threw him off the rooftop and crash towards a nearby medical building just like where they are.
With that the resident patients cheered for Richard, as the person himself finally has room to breath while hiding the fact that he was nervous all this time.
At the same time Diez somehow survived from that attack but suffered from considerable damage. Aside from few scratches and bruises on his body, no major damage was done to him despite how strong the shot was. That was just how durable their body was, especially since they came from a planet with a different constitution than this planet.
Truth be told their home world has much dense atmosphere and gravity than this world. A world where only the strong survives and the weak has no place in such world. Because of such condition, their body naturally adapted to such world, causing such traits that showcased beyond human capability.
With him being blasted away, Diez simply laughed it off before he finally lost his fun and become bored. Richard may have been a skilled agent, however he was not strong enough to keep the excitement going.
The moment Diez lost his excitement, he then frowned as he became serious and injected his mana unto his sycthe. In that moment, Diez then rapidly swung his sycthe towards the base of the building where he had fallen, causing multiple slash marks to appear all over the building, which soon caused everything to collapse.
Since it had its fun, it was now time to continue this massacre.
