The moment Diez sliced the whole buildings into pieces like a tofu, the whole structure itself begun to collapse as screams echoed from the residents who were falling from the top of the building.
Naturally Richard spreads out his mana like a barrier, to cover everyone on top of the building, in order to protect each and every one of them from the inevitable fall.
Just like that their screams were drowned out by the crashing sound of the falling debris as Diez laughed like a mad clown enjoying the sight of destruction. If Siete can be defined as rage, and Nueve as composure, then Diez himself can be defined as madness.
In comparison to other sentinels, Diez enjoys destruction, that is most likely the only reason why he is sometimes hard to control even for his own colleagues.
The only thing that managed to knock him down without much effort among his colleague are the top three sentinels who seemed far above than common sense.
Not long after the crashing sound died down, as the soft groan coming from the survivors echoed out in the destruction that Diez had committed. Among those that voiced out their pain was Diez alongside some of the hospital residents.
However despite his efforts to protect the residents, he wasn't able to fully protect everyone. Some of the residents were still killed from the fall from either the impact of the fall or getting buried by the rubble.
In fact Richard's mana isn't that powerful at all. It was above average and its purity was good enough for the organization, however his mana wasn't strong enough to fully ensure everyone's safety. Some residents died while some survive but acquired wounds that are too painful to endure.
What's more the thing that broke his composure was the sight of the female residents who died while trying to protect her child. Both the mother and child died, he wasn't able to protect them.
Even now he could still hear their voices, as fear encroached the mother and her child, while trying to survive this world. Unfortunately despite his effort they still died from the destruction. As for the captain and her squad, the remaining two members of the squad also died, while the captain was at the brink of death as an Iron rod pierced her stomach.
Even though the squad captain was heavily wounded, she still kept her eyes lock unto her dead team members who entrusted their lives on her hand. Now because of this war, all her team members are dead causing her to finally tear up in frustration.
In fact out of everything so far, Richard wasn't also in the condition to fight any longer. Since his mana was stretched thin to try to protect everyone, he left a little to nothing on himself, making his whole body take on the majority of the brunt when he fell on the ground.
Right now he had broken his arm from the fall causing it to dislocate, while also gasping for air as he felt a part of his ribs slightly puncturing his lungs. Due to this it even made it hard for him to breath as everytime he tried to breath, pain would occasionally follow despite not doing anything.
Amidst the destruction laughter soon came after as Diez walked pass the rubbles and towards the surviving residents.
"Some of you still survives? What a miracle... well this kind of result is already expected... there is no one in this world that can stand against us, many have tried and yet despite their best efforts they all failed and died... and this world will be ours for the taking"
Hearing his words, Richard forced himself to talk, as he spats out blood everytime blood accumulate on his throat.
"You... what's you deal? Why are you destroying... our world?"
When Richard asked that question, Diez then stepped on Richard's shoulder as he answered his question.
"Destroying? We're not destroying your world, we are trying to occupy it... however this rich world full of resources is already occupied by weakling like you, who doesn't even know how to fully utilize the resources of your world... but since we want your world, all we have to do is cleanse this world first of its residents... and that's you guys"
"Because of that? You put humanity on the brink of extinction?"
"Because of that? Yes! Coexistence was never an option and your species proved that by fearing the unknown... because you can't control the unknown, you tried to eliminate them out of fear"

"But we didn't invade your world out of a whim, we even consider coexistence at first, however throughout the ages, history proved itself that humanity cannot be trusted... again and again and again you humans exploits each other for your own greed, hurt each other, take advantage each other, manipulate each other... parties... propaganda... cults... family's... government... the rich... the poor..."

They are the same, it's just repeat itself changing names throughout history... let me give you an example..... what's the difference between tyrants, the nazi, and feminist of the modern world? After saying that Diez stood up straight, as he puts his sycthe on his shoulder while giving out a cold laugh, after that he then turned towards the person standing not far from them while holding a somewhat looking Japanese katana.
"And don't think I didn't notice you, so care to introduce yourself?"
