"Easy boys! I got this! I'll explain it to you guys later! Let's hurry. Riku-chan go to the stream beside the academy get huge and solid rocks, the more the better. Kurara-chan ask the ramen-shop owner for some used sacks and find ropes. We need it later for our mission! Let's meet up at the village gate before the sunset."

"I wonder what's that beast? Is she really generous or she's just really rich? To offer 50000 ryo for a D ranked mission. Luckily, I arrived earlier than the other genins to choose a mission. We've hit the jackpot! We can't fail this mission! I'll buy some Kunai and Shuriken for emergency purposes, but I'll return it if we can finish the task without using any weapons so I can get a refund! It's too expensive to throw away Shurikens, I can't even treat myself to eat to my fill. It's not everyday you can find this kind of rewarding mission. "
In Daimyo mansion:
The guards were just stationed on the entrance and exit gates of the mansion. No one's patrolling in the Garden of Lady Aira, the daughter of the owner of the mansion.
She is already stressed on how the beast eats her home grown rare herbs and fruits. Her favorite flowers were also trampled by that beast. The culprit attacks every night and leaves before the sunrise. The beast is also clever and wary. It's very nimble to catch by ordinary people and elusive to the guards. It hides every time an expert or the strong guards shows. It's really a problem because most of the genins that took the task before all failed. That's why reward shoot up to 50000 ryo. But no matter how hard the task it is and as long as it was d rank, Koji will still do it for the large reward.
No Chunin will take D rank missions as they think its a child's play for them. Mostly C and B ranked missions is what they're eyeing. The beast will probably hide if he saw the Chunin and Jonin Ninjas.
It's a perfect mission for Koji to earn for a living and also to gain merits from the academy. Until now, he only practice Taijutsu and the most common Ninjutsu available for someone like him who don't have a backing of huge clans or Ninja parents who can give him pointers. No inheritance or any relatives where he can ask for powerful jutsu.
He can either buy scrolls or earn merits to gain access in the academy library or pay someone to teach him a powerful jutsu or a couple of useful jutsu.
Most of the other Genin teams knew secret jutsu from their clans or family heritage. Some of them inherited strong body constitution or special traits like sharingan from famous Uchiha Clan, Byakugan from Hyuga Clan, and other physical enhancing abilities such as Akimichi's Enlarging of bodies.
Koji, who's close to a no chakra and a normal person relies on his endurance and perseverance. He works out from day to night daily until he tires himself out. He got the training regimen from Guy and Rock Lee's Taijutsu which is accessible to all Shinobi from Hidden Leaf Village.
As a result of his self training, he gained a tough body. He also developed a matured mindset and keen senses.
That's why he believes that he won't lose to those silver spoon-fed clan young masters and young disciples of some experts from different walks of life.
It was proven by Master Guy and Rock Lee's prowess, but he never want to be like them. He wants to become no one except from one person. The Legendary 7th Hokage, The Hero Uzumaki Naruto.
He's very fond of Naruto's story. He wants to become like him. He wants to follow and achieve or exceed what Naruto achieved. That's his resolve and his Shinobi's way starts from his admiration.
It's every young Ninja's dream of this generation. They all admire Naruto, but one thing is certain. He's exceptionally dedicated!
He's taking every mission seriously. He is doing it like his life is on the line. He always go all out on every mission. Except for spending money. He's very thrifty and stingy even to himself. He'd rather accept bruises and scratches than buying expensive leather gloves and coat or use bricks on slaying beasts instead of using expensive weapons.
