Thalia could only stare at William in panic.
How could she forget such an important detail?
The dream he kept having.
Ever since he came of age, those dreams had already been following him.
And out of all the memories his past self could've left behind, the one that stayed with him all these years was the moment he got stabbed.
"Why though?" William asked quietly.
His brows were still tightly furrowed, "Were we enemies in the past?"
Thalia looked like she was on the verge of tears.
Slowly, she shook her head.
"We were lovers…" she whispered.
The moment those words left her lips, the entire living room fell silent again.
William stayed frozen in place, still squatting on the floor while staring at her blankly.
"Lovers?" he repeated slowly.
Thalia nodded weakly.
William immediately looked even more confused afterward.
"Then why would you stab me?"
