Thalia and Tiara both stood up in bewilderment.
"What are you doing here, Mr. Carter?" Thalia asked, already moving quickly toward him.
The moment she stopped in front of him, the coldness in William's eyes softened completely.
He lifted his hand and cupped her cheeks, tilting her face up slightly.
"Hubby…" he murmured, his tone low. "I told you to stop calling me Mr. Carter."
Before she could react, he leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to her lips.
"I came to pick you up."
Silence.
Both Thalia and Tiara were stunned.
One didn't expect that kind of affection from him, and the other definitely didn't expect to be kissed like that in front of her sister.
'Are they already at that stage…?'
Tiara blinked, the thought lingering in her mind.
His gestures. His body language. The way he spoke. There wasn't a single hint of awkwardness.
"Really? But I'm not finished talking to Tiara…" Thalia said, glancing at her sister for help.
